I got my septum pierced by Elisea and she was great, she walked me through the whole process before and as it was happening so I was very comfortable. Amazing, from first call with Michael, to consult with my miraculous Tattooist Joshua. This was my first large and visible piece of art so needless to say I had a bit nervous excitement! Elena, and the gent in the front (sorry I didn't get his name) were super welcoming and friendly and visited with me until it was time. Joshua was super calming, explained everything, extremely clean and made the session very special as this piece was to honor my father and our special bond. His artistry was incredible to watch, the finish design was more then I could have ever imagined. After months of local tattoo shop research, I came into this shop for a special tattoo that I wanted to get in honor of my late father. This shop was very appealing to me as it was woman owned. The day I had planned on coming in, I called to confirm if they were taking walk ins. I spoke with the owner and she was very sweet and so I had high hopes. I came in, and was greeted by John. I explained what I wanted and he didn't let me finish. He instantly started to "educate me on the whole tattoo process" and proceeded to encourage me to look up the shop's instagram and research the other artist to see if one them resonated with me. Again, I did my research. I didn't ask for John, he just happened to greet me. It was immediately apparent that he didn't want to do my tattoo. Which is fine, but it was his whole vibe that was off putting. It was a small hummingbird. I get it, it wasn't his style, but my husband and I both felt he wanted to push us out. After asking, he did draw up a bird for me and I appreciate him taking the time to do so. It was nice, but wasn't what I had in mind so we left. I understood his point, but I just felt uncomfortable as it was clear he didn't want to do the work. Again, he greeted me. I didn't request him. It was also my understanding that another female artist was there as well whose work I liked, but at that point we were turned off and didn't proceed. I ended up going to another shop. Hate to leave a bad review, but hoping the shop could be more mindful and keep an open mind. read more
