I consider myself well versed in the breakfast burrito communities. Espi's has the best breakfast burritos in Cheyenne. Ratios are good, get it smothered and it's even better. While traveling, my husband and I always like to patron local restaurants. Espi's seemed to fit our preference and we stopped there for breakfast on our way through Cheyenne this July 4th morning. The exterior gave us pause, but the parking lot was busy and we are always looking for that hidden gem. We found it with Espi's! We were greeted with a smile by Reagan who directed us to sit anywhere. She promptly brought us menus and took our drink orders of coffee. The restaurant was a regular stop for the local folks, the interior was clean and family friendly. For breakfast we both ordered biscuits and gravy, mine was sausage and my husband's was chorizo. Both were excellent. Biscuits were fluffy and the gravy plentiful. We also had a side of scrambled eggs and hash-browns. The food was hot and delicious. Reagan provided us with great service. We enjoyed her upbeat personality and helpful answers to our questions. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. If we ever travel this way again, we'll be sure to stop. read more

Waitress was inconsiderate, 30 min to wait for eggs and potatoes. Hash browns were lukewarm ,sausage over cooked and toast came halfway through meal . When the food was finally served the waitress forgot our plastic utensils. The ambiance is notably affected by the attitude of the staff . Good service compensates for mediocre ambiance. On a positive note the restroom was clean and the eggs over medium were done just right. The General manager to his credit was very understanding. When I complained about the aforementioned items , the waitress told me " If you don't like it don't come back! " I was recommended this place by an acquaintance unfortunately for me it didn't live up to the hype. read more

I love a good French dip, and to say Espi's was good would be an understatement! I'm really looking forward to going back and trying more menu items. The drive through made getting my lunch so easy and so fast. The portions are a really good size too! Normally French dip has thinly sliced beef, but the sandwich at Espi's has thick chunks of really flavorful meat, and the au jus was really good too. There were also more fries served than in the picture. They were so good I ate a lot in the car on the way home! If everything on the menu is this good, Espi's will be a fast favorite. I ordered a smothered breakfast burrito that was sever quick. The quality of the ingredients was mediocre, the green chili was rather bland and non- spicy. The serving was filling but not the most enjoyable. Overall, the rundown restaurant that serves American food is not the town favorite but can satisfy an appetite on short notice. This is a super cute restaurant. The staff is incredibly kind. It's very clean and the food is fresh and hot. Walk up window to order and sit down or a waitress will come take your order. Definitely a local spot everyone should try. My only warning was that I expected the "red chili" to be a red Chile sauce comparable to the green chile sauce (like an enchilada sauce) I was surprised to see Chili. With beans and meat. I heard it was good so went in one afternoon at 1 pm. Parking was good and the restaurant clean and roomy. It was busy and there was only one waitress working. However, she handled it like a pro. She took my order, got me a water and coffee (really good coffee), and kept me updated on my order. My food came out quicker than expected and was delicious! I had a smothered breakfast burrito and it was half the price of a cross town rival. Very pleasant surprise! They open early too (6 am) making this a perfect breakfast stop prior to a day of fishing! We were on a road-trip and in the mood for a country breakfast. The pancakes are large and fluffy. Couldn't even finish one. My husband had the skillet breakfast with chorizo and gravy. I have tried this restaurant several times and I am sad it doesn't live up to the former Burger Inn standards. The mushroom Swiss burger is lackluster and underseasoned. Tried the breakfast burrito twice and the meat has ZERO flavor-it tasted like it was rinsed as hell after cooking. The green chili is watery and flavorless. Biscuits and gravy were tasteless and gross-rinsed and flavorless sausage and gravy that tasted like flour. Yuck!!! Hope you can get cooks that know what the hell they are doing as you advertise homemade food. Not going to eat there anytime soon. read more

After hearing about how good their burritos were we were excited to try it. The positives of our experience were the service from our waiter was great and the place was clean. However the rest was a huge negative, we got two kids plates and for the cost of it was very little food. We also got two smothered burritos one chorizo and one bacon, the chorizo tasted good and was at least warm but the bacon was lukewarm at best inside and was covered with a cold bland green chili. I wanted to like this new place. After all Burger Inn was a landmark in Cheyenne. Pretty awful. The onion rings looked good but each bite squirted a mouthful of oil. I've never not finished my onion rings before. Record ended. The philly cheesesteak meat was plentiful but also had so much oil it soaked the bun. The peppers and onions were raw. Like many of the other negatives seen on here it definitely does not live up to Burger Inn. I ordered a Diet Coke she brought me a diet Pepsi without telling me they didn't have Diet Coke. I had already paid and I was going through the drive-through so I just gave up. I also ordered the three tacos and it was clear that they just chopped up an old burger that had already been grilled. Not a taco at all, gross is what it was. Not to mention the container was greasy and dirty on the outside, they need to pay attention to these details and wipe things off a little bit. I will not be back. And sadly I don't/won't recommend them to anyone. read more

Espi's took over the Burger Inn, so once the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted, I was excited to try it. It does not disappoint. When it was at its prime, the Burger Inn had really great food. Espi's is bringing back that tradition. We had the 3 tacos, with some Espi's beans. The taco's were so good, specialized food truck quality. Good taste and good quality ingredients. I will definitely be ordering those again! I'm already planning my next meal there. I would definitely recommend giving this new place a try. read more
