In town solo for business. I ate at the bar. The bar was nearly full when I arrived. Shannon immediately came over and took my drink order and got me a menu. I had a filet, baked potato and green beans. The filet was great and served on a sizzling plate. The potato was large and prepared well. The green beans were blah, nothing really happening there, I would pass on the green beans. Shannon was attentive despite running a very busy and large bar. Great job! I was very disappointed at the Cheyenne Rib and chophouse. I have been to several other locations and the service was better at the other locations.. Let's start with the food: House salad consisted of lettuce, two tomatoes, two pieces of cucumber and some nasty ranch dressing. I couldn't eat the salad because the dressing was nasty. Filet mignon was cooked to the right temperature, but it was gristly on the inside You would think being in Wyoming, you would get a good piece of piece of meat. Especially for the prices you pay. So it was like 8 o'clock at night and I sat at the bar. There was only three other patrons at the bar service was extremely slow. Half the time I had no idea where the server went. So I had to wait to get another drink. When I ordered another beer, they brought me the wrong type of beer than what I was drinking I ordered food to go to take back to my kid in the hotel room. And when I was done, eating my meal. They asked me if I wanted anything else so I asked how's that takeout order coming and the waitress commented. Oh, I totally forgot. So they did comp the takeout but had to sit there for another 20 to 30 minutes waiting for it The place was not busy, very disappointed in this particular chophouse. Run the other way! I was here with my family a month ago and the bathrooms were closed. So, how does the staff wash their hands? At that time, the food and service were fine. Meals were overpriced but expected for the location. It was good enough for us to return with our aging parents. Back in today for lunch. At least 15 empty tables spread out over the dining areas. I had a corner seat so I was able to see who was coming and going. I also saw several (10) wait staff standing around. I overheard the manager tell them not to huddle around the host station. So I was shocked when they said we had to wait 20 minutes for a table. When we finished lunch they still had empty tables and bored wait staff. The first photo had a couple of occupied tables and the second photo was taken an hour later when the diners had left. The new "Rodeo" menu raised the already expensive prices. Besides that, they didn't have the $19.95 Executive Lunch. I ordered the overpriced NY Strip from the new menu. They didn't have it available or several other items on the "new menu." The temperature was frigid! I'm from the south and accustomed to a/c during the summer. It's such a contrast to 90 degree outdoor heat. This was ridiculously cold, like 55 degrees. Our server said she could move us 3 tables down to see if it was less cold. But if we move she can no longer be our server. That was odd since no one was working and no more patrons arrived. She's the same one who told us "sorry, we have no control over the a/c." Only to be told by a different person they would try to adjust it. And they did. Daughter took me here for Father's Day. I was a chef & cook at a few upscale restaurants during my career. I just had the burger. She had a steak and a Caesar salad. What a Joke, her Caesar salad was just iceberg lettuce in Caesar dressing, No croutons, no parmesan cheese. And it was kind of warm. Her steak was ordered medium, received med-well. My burger was kinda disgusting, totally burnt black on one side, hockey puck black. Bacon on it was so hard couldn't even chew it. The server also forgot my fries & my son inlaws fries. Wtf ? Not a good meal at all, way to expensive for the sub par food received. Won't be back & don't recommend. read more

I love this place! I've been here a few times now and yesterday I had the best experience with Morgan (she was a total doll - kind, attentive, helpful service all the way)! I started with a delightful mocktail, moved on to perfect boneless buffalo wings, & ended with the 7 ounce filet mignon & giant baked potato for lunch. The filet was cooked to absolute perfection - exactly how I like it. The potato was delightful - it was probably 12 ounces with real butter (they have fresh sea salt grinders on the table, and that was also wonderful, as I'm a salt girl). The ambience is 100% Wyoming steakhouse which I love and honestly everything was five stars. They have a great bar and tons of parking in the lot or on the street. Go!! read more

Out of all the ribbon shop chain I would say that this one is either my favorite or tied with my other favorite, which is the one in Sheridan Wyoming. The location and the decor is amazing as well as the hardwood floors and the dark decor. Service here has always been top-notch and I mean really good. As far as the food goes, they've never messed up a steak and I've always enjoyed my sides here. They have a very good bar that can make you about any drink that you want. And while the prices are a little high, most places with really good steak cost just about the same. I really like their gumbo here. And while it's not 100% true cage in gumbo since I'm from Louisiana and I know the difference it really is still good as well as the Boudin balls as an appetizer. I'd have to say this is one of the finest establishments and Cheyenne for sure and I highly recommend it. read more

In town for business and stopped here for dinner on a Sunday evening with some coworkers, based on recommendations of the hotel staff. We thought it should be good since it is Wyoming and it's steak. We ordered and it took 30 mins to get our food. It was not busy so not sure if the kitchen was slow or our server simply struggled. I ordere top sirloin medium-raresked and got medium-well. Needless to say it was very dry and you could see from the picture that it sat under a heat lamp for awhile. Very dry. Co worker ordered the same and a baked potato. Stopped in for a drink. Maddie and Shannon were fantastic behind the bar! My wife was born and raised in Cheyenne. Maddie represented the city well. Shannon connected well with my wife with Texas connections. We ended up having desert based on Shannon's recommendation. The apple cobbler was amazing! Very disappointing experience. We sat at the bar, and our server acted like helping us was a burden from the moment we sat down. I've never had someone seem so annoyed to serve customers. The 38 oz. tomahawk ribeye was decent, but for $130 the presentation was embarrassing. It came on a plate that was too small, wasn't sliced for sharing, and despite there being two of us, we weren't even given an extra plate. After dropping off our food, our server disappeared. We waited around 30 minutes hoping to order dessert and coffee, only to finally be told, "We're closed." If you're going to charge premium steakhouse prices, you need premium service and presentation. Rib and Chop delivered neither. Average steak at best, terrible service, and absolutely nothing that would make me come back. read more

Not a local. Just passing thru. Had the ribeye. Was one of the better examples that I've had. Came out on a hot hot plate, which, I believe, is critical, since the prolonged higher temp keeps the fat rendering until you cut the meat. And a good ribeye has tasty fat which runs clear and full of flavor when it's served correctly. Garlic mushrooms were fantastic. Cream spinach excellent. Seth was my server. Good guy. Was covering another section and saw me sitting and waiting for an extended time so he came over to get me started. Incidentally, I ordered a Coke and water with a bunch of lemon wedges. He legit brought a bunch of lemon wedges with my two drinks. No one ever gets what a bunch of lemons is. He nailed it. The waiter was training a new staff member and both were attentive and provided excellent service. We both got a burger and we agreed they were delicious! Wait staff was nice. Food was not good. I had a half rack of ribs loaded with fat. Hardly any meat. I ordered a side of fresh green beans. I could not eat them, they tasted like fish! Not sure the chop house knows what a jumbo shrimp is but it wasn't what I received. They are usually a great place but not today. Service and food coming out was slow or not in order as ordered. Upon arrival at 8:00 p.m. we asked the hostess for the table next to the fireplace. She said that table was reserved. We didn't leave until 9:30, and nobody ever sat at that table and the place closes at 10:00 p.m., so either the other customers were a no-show or she lied to us. So she sat us across from the fireplace instead. Our waiter was Geno. He gave us warm & friendly service. He even made a rose fore from a paper napkin. We ordered the filet mignon and split it. We had a late lunch, so we were not starving and we hadn't even planned on going out on Sunday night. I loved the loaded baked potato! The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. It wasn't very busy while we were there, but I can imagine this place is packed on a Friday or Saturday night. If ever offered a barside table option and he's tending bar- take it. This man not only anticipated what we would need but gave great beer suggestions. We stopped by for dinner after a show, granted it was at 9:15, but they took our reservation. The restaurant was largely empty when we arrived, and while the server was friendly, it was really, really really annoying when they started cleaning the floors with these electric brooms while we were eating. I've worked in restaurants, I understand that people want to go home. But when I'm spending this kind of money, I don't like to have somebody literally whisking at my feet. Like right next to me. I was severely disappointed all around! I'm not usually one to complain, but it took a significant time for the waitress to get to my table (I just about left) and then after she did, it took a significant time to take my order. I ordered a salad without onions and it came with some nasty lettuce and onions on top. Some of the staff was more interested in talking to their friends than actually doing work. The ribs were fine and the chicken was OK, but the barbecue sauce lacked flavor. Once again, it took me forever to pay my bill to get out. When I did get out, I noticed one of the workers smoking out front. I was super happy to see that a cook was smoking with the same hands he prepared my food. read more

The ribeye was phenomenal. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, and so flavorful. One of the best steaks I've had in a while for sure! The salmon was average as it was a dry but the cedar plank flavor really came through. We got the crème brûlée for dessert and it was a bit over cooked. Not as light as they usually are. Came in for our 11th anniversary and WOW!!! Food was perfect and exactly as you'd expect from a high-end steakhouse. We got to sit next to the fireplace which was cozy and warm and brilliantly lit the room for a cozy atmosphere. Waitstaff was attentive without being pushy. Decided to bring the kids about a month later and the kids meals come in classic car shaped boxes! They had so much fun. Well done!!! read more
