In town solo for business. I ate at the bar. The bar was nearly full when I arrived. Shannon immediately came over and took my drink order and got me a menu. I had a filet, baked potato and green beans. The filet was great and served on a sizzling plate. The potato was large and prepared well. The green beans were blah, nothing really happening there, I would pass on the green beans. Shannon was attentive despite running a very busy and large bar. Great job! Run the other way! I was here with my family a month ago and the bathrooms were closed. So, how does the staff wash their hands? At that time, the food and service were fine. Meals were overpriced but expected for the location. It was good enough for us to return with our aging parents. Back in today for lunch. At least 15 empty tables spread out over the dining areas. I had a corner seat so I was able to see who was coming and going. I also saw several (10) wait staff standing around. I overheard the manager tell them not to huddle around the host station. So I was shocked when they said we had to wait 20 minutes for a table. When we finished lunch they still had empty tables and bored wait staff. The first photo had a couple of occupied tables and the second photo was taken an hour later when the diners had left. The new "Rodeo" menu raised the already expensive prices. Besides that, they didn't have the $19.95 Executive Lunch. I ordered the overpriced NY Strip from the new menu. They didn't have it available or several other items on the "new menu." The temperature was frigid! I'm from the south and accustomed to a/c during the summer. It's such a contrast to 90 degree outdoor heat. This was ridiculously cold, like 55 degrees. Our server said she could move us 3 tables down to see if it was less cold. But if we move she can no longer be our server. That was odd since no one was working and no more patrons arrived. She's the same one who told us "sorry, we have no control over the a/c." Only to be told by a different person they would try to adjust it. And they did. Overall, they attempted to be accommodating but I'd rather eat elsewhere! It's just not worth the hassle. read more

What a Joke, her Caesar salad was just iceberg lettuce in Caesar dressing, No croutons, no parmesan cheese. And it was kind of warm. Her steak was ordered medium, received med-well. My burger was kinda disgusting, totally burnt black on one side, hockey puck black. Bacon on it was so hard couldn't even chew it. The server also forgot my fries & my son inlaws fries. Wtf ? I love this place! I've been here a few times now and yesterday I had the best experience with Morgan (she was a total doll - kind, attentive, helpful service all the way)! I started with a delightful mocktail, moved on to perfect boneless buffalo wings, & ended with the 7 ounce filet mignon & giant baked potato for lunch. The filet was cooked to absolute perfection - exactly how I like it. The potato was delightful - it was probably 12 ounces with real butter (they have fresh sea salt grinders on the table, and that was also wonderful, as I'm a salt girl). The ambience is 100% Wyoming steakhouse which I love and honestly everything was five stars. They have a great bar and tons of parking in the lot or on the street. Go!! read more

Very disappointing experience. We sat at the bar, and our server acted like helping us was a burden from the moment we sat down. I've never had someone seem so annoyed to serve customers. The 38 oz. tomahawk ribeye was decent, but for $130 the presentation was embarrassing. It came on a plate that was too small, wasn't sliced for sharing, and despite there being two of us, we weren't even given an extra plate. After dropping off our food, our server disappeared. We waited around 30 minutes hoping to order dessert and coffee, only to finally be told, "We're closed." If you're going to charge premium steakhouse prices, you need premium service and presentation. Rib and Chop delivered neither. Average steak at best, terrible service, and absolutely nothing that would make me come back. read more

Not a local. Just passing thru. Had the ribeye. Was one of the better examples that I've had. Came out on a hot hot plate, which, I believe, is critical, since the prolonged higher temp keeps the fat rendering until you cut the meat. And a good ribeye has tasty fat which runs clear and full of flavor when it's served correctly. Garlic mushrooms were fantastic. Cream spinach excellent. Seth was my server. Good guy. Was covering another section and saw me sitting and waiting for an extended time so he came over to get me started. Incidentally, I ordered a Coke and water with a bunch of lemon wedges. He legit brought a bunch of lemon wedges with my two drinks. No one ever gets what a bunch of lemons is. He nailed it. Basically, if I ask for a bunch of lemons, when I'm done eating, there should be a few wedges left. Happy I stopped here. read more

I am extremely disappointed and disgusted with my experience at Rib & Chop House. During my meal, I found a bug in my salad, which was absolutely unacceptable and made me lose my appetite immediately. I was shocked that something like this could make it into a customer's meal. When I brought it up to our server, I expected some concern and professionalism. Instead, the server mentioned that this was not the first time something like this had happened, which was even more disturbing to hear. Knowing that there have been previous issues like this made me question the cleanliness and standards of the kitchen. The server offered us a dessert because of what happened, but honestly, I was too disgusted to stay. I had to leave right away because after finding a bug in my food, I couldn't trust that the rest of the meal, or anything coming out of that kitchen, was prepared properly. If bugs are making their way into customer meals, especially if it has happened before, that says a lot about the overall food safety and cleanliness. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had, and I will not be returning. read more

Came for dinner on a weeknight. We didn't have reservations but were sat right away. The service was incredible. The waiter was training a new staff member and both were attentive and provided excellent service. We both got a burger and we agreed they were delicious! The didn't serve the baked squash anymore. We ordered a loaded bak potato which was good and the jumbo shrimp dinner. Not sure the chop house knows what a jumbo shrimp is but it wasn't what I received. They are usually a great place but not today. Service and food coming out was slow or not in order as ordered. Upon arrival at 8:00 p.m. we asked the hostess for the table next to the fireplace. She said that table was reserved. We didn't leave until 9:30, and nobody ever sat at that table and the place closes at 10:00 p.m., so either the other customers were a no-show or she lied to us. So she sat us across from the fireplace instead. Our waiter was Geno. He gave us warm & friendly service. He even made a rose fore from a paper napkin. We ordered the filet mignon and split it. We had a late lunch, so we were not starving and we hadn't even planned on going out on Sunday night. I loved the loaded baked potato! The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. It wasn't very busy while we were there, but I can imagine this place is packed on a Friday or Saturday night. Came in for our 11th anniversary and WOW!!! Food was perfect and exactly as you'd expect from a high-end steakhouse. We got to sit next to the fireplace which was cozy and warm and brilliantly lit the room for a cozy atmosphere. Waitstaff was attentive without being pushy. The food was perfect! My wife and I both had the fleet mignon. It was grilled to perfection. It came straight out from the kitchen sizzling on our hot plates. The sides were also perfect. I had the garlic mashed potatoes and my wife had a loaded baked potato (soft and tender- more perfection). We also had salads. The lettuce was fresh, cold and crisp. Although some of the chunks were rather large and had to be cut (along with the cucumbers), which was a bit difficult since the serving size was abundant and the plates were not large. I also REALLY appreciate our super sweet server (Hailee). The place was packed and ALL the staff was in super hustle mode. But she didn't rush us and allowed us to finish our salads before bringing the entrees. (Don't you just hate it when you're barely half way into your salad and the server plops down the big plate? Basically saying you're done enough, I'm in a hurry so take this now!). With the place so busy and an expected 10-15 minute wait, we went into the bar area and found an open table and decided to stay there. Hailee immediately took our drink orders gave us menus. The vibe in there was friendly, but not too loud and certainly not dull. We live in California and this was our first time in this regional chain restaurant. We will go out of way to visit again. Did I mention the staff? All those young servers were moving with urgency and efficiency. However, the managers seemed overly serious- especially the shorter guy. He seemed to almost be scowling. The ribeye was phenomenal. It was perfectly cooked, juicy, and so flavorful. One of the best steaks I've had in a while for sure! The salmon was average as it was a dry but the cedar plank flavor really came through. We got the crème brûlée for dessert and it was a bit over cooked. Not as light as they usually are. I've been to other locations of this restaurant, and the seating area here wasn't as impressive as other locations. Overall, a good place to stop by if you are looking for a good steak! read more

Everything went as expected, and as was bragged about for the amazing rib and chop house. Even though they were extremely busy with the Cheyenne frontier days. Not a good experience. Disappointing. Filet was "roast" like. I love filets but this was not a normal meat consistency. Very stringy. Our waitress had a large party so we didn't get much service attention. My drink glass was empty most the meal. No refill ever offered. Manager in red shirt walked right by, looked down, saw it, then continued to the hostess stand to chat with the hostess girls. We had to go to hostess stand to ask for the bill after waiting. I wish we went to outback instead. The ribs were cooked very well, but they slapped on a ketchup based barbecue sauce, which really took away from the taste of the ribs. The ribs themselves were great maybe put the sauce on the side. The sauce had a super tangy bite. read more

Before this bad review, I will say the manager was very nice and took off one order of ribs and gave me a discount on the 2nd rack because they were horrible, along with the rest of the meal. All of the sides were a disaster. Potatoes au gratin was the worst, while the watery Mac and cheese was a close 2nd. The ribs were burnt and dry and the blue cheese tasted like all mayonaise. I never got a birthday cake and we were seated in a terrible place before having to move. Also, don't sweep the floor while I'm eating your fancy dinner. Luckily, we paid just $20 for this garbage, but kudos to manager again for her niceness. read more
