We had a nice lunch at 2 Doors Down during a recent trip to Cheyenne. The staff were all very nice and I liked the ordering process. You place your order at the counter and then find a table. The servers then run your food out when it's ready. The menu is huge and had so much variety. We decided on burgers and fries. They were really good. And the fries came out super hot and fresh, which was nice. The burgers were flavorful and came with the usual toppings. I wish I had taken a little more time with the menu, because I saw so many other tasty items once I sat down and looked at the menu a little more carefully. read more

Took a lot of time to find parking on a lunch weekday. And until I finally did. We made it inside and it was super crowded and there was a long line to order at the counter. I didn't realize it was that type of service(none), I probably wouldn't have came. Ordered my food, got my own drink, and I went and sat out on the patio. There was nowhere to sit inside. But it was a nice day so that was OK and I was glad that they had picnic tables out on the sidewalk. Took them forever to get the burgers and fries and I had to keep going in and out to check to see if it was ready. And the entire meal just ended up being kind of expensive for what it was and the food was underwhelming. For as crowded as the place was and excited as people were to be there I expected it to be something great. I won't bother coming back, but I'm sure that's not gonna stop the locals. read more

The food was tasty and they had gluten free buns available and they cook their french fries in a separate fryer to minimize potential for cross contamination. They advertise as "gourmet" which is a bit deceiving -- what they should say is they fix hamburgers in multiple ways and will customize to your liking. The endless fries were okay -- nothing special, a bit soggy. The beer list is all mass produced. The wine is inexpensive mass produced stuff. So 2 Doors Down will satisfy your hunger. I had to create my own type of basic burger. The taste of the food was cool, nothing bad or great about it, pretty straightforward burger. Service here was great!!! They send waiters around frequently to check on the guest and refill their drinks. They probably asked about 7 times while we were there. Ambiance here was interesting. WOW!!! What a great place. Perfect capitol location, atmosphere was very casual, the value for the entrees was affordable, and the seating area was large enough for the entire group. The Laramie and Cheyenne Home School students had just completed a huge assignment - presented an entire mock trail. Players for the defense, prosecution, witnesses, judge, and jury were a part of the trial. After a long morning at the courthouse, the students, families, and Home School staff met at 2 Doors Down. The management had reserved the entire top floor for the lunch event and it was a complete hit !!! The ording was simple and the food came out pretty fast. I got the burger on a gluten free bun and was told that the fries are fried in a separate cooker. They did not offer any water for my 16 week old? Great pyongye's puppy,, and I was told that I would have to prepay for all of my food. Felt more like being babysat than eating at a restaurant. I hadn't even taken a bite of my food when someone swoops in asking if everything "tastes all right." How the hell would I know if I haven't even eaten yet? Then they kept coming back literally every 30 seconds asking if I was okay. It was annoying, not attentive. And don't get me started on the "bottomless steak fries." I asked for a refill and they brought out about six fries. Six. That's not a refill, that's a sample.
