I love Beenie's ice cream! I have been visiting the ice cream shop for several years now…read more Beenie's is located near the Deloitte office building in downtown Morristown. Parking is tricky but there is a paid public lot across the street. Inside, there is a cute little seating area with picnic benches and some Adirondack chairs. Near the seating, there is a water cooler and plastic cups. Being located in the heart of Morristown, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but the ice cream is 100% homemade and sourced with local, seasonal ingredients. I love seeing all of the creative flavors and there are always so many different options to choose from. In the refrigerated section, there are pints and cakes available to take to-go. Monthly/seasonal flavors are offered as well. You can even create a custom ice cream flavor for a special occasion. Service is also very friendly and happy to help, even when they are very busy. They are very involved in the local community and source ingredients from surrounding local businesses. I am part of a local running club in town and each year they collaborate on a special flavor called "Neon Swirl". I can't wait for my next trip back to Beenie's to try more amazing flavor creations. Love Beenie's! The interior is colorful and well-lit, with a smart design to keep the line moving…read more A large and creative list of ice cream flavors await you! I went for the vanilla ice cream with cherries. It was a generous portion for a single scoop and more than enough. I assume that their ice cream is homemade, it tastes that good! Vegans - don't despair. There are numerous non-dairy options to choose from. The service was efficient and friendly. Overall, this is a very well-run and welcoming ice cream establishment owned and operated by caring small business owners. I highly recommend it!

Exceptional sushi: fresh, all of your traditional delights as well as innovated ones. The restaurant has limited space but that has never interfered with enjoyment even in its busiest night. The lady who has always served me is remarkable. I feel like it is a cultural learning experience just talking to her. She is the epitome the ideal company representative to welcome and wait on customers. Her bows and smiles are so gracious you just want to go back to see her. Shame on me for not remembering her name. I highly recommend Asahi. Love it.

The bad news is they lost points due to making us wait almost an hour for a small order -the staff is very nice but they appeared to be filling a ton of Grubhub orders before us and the place was half empty. It would've been nice if they gave us a free soup or something to apologize for the long wait but c'est lavie. Other issue - the main one- is their prices are astronomical for a hole in the wall joint in Morristown. As high as any of the Manhattan glam spots, i.e. Soho, Madison Ave, Columbus Circle, etc. Where else do you pay $13 for a salmon roll? 90% of places charge around $7-8 per, so you're looking at a very steep bill. Again, the fish is great but be prepared to spend hi end prices for a hole in the wall joint.
