Botched Implants twice causing lasting damage! First implant…read morecaused infection leading to the reduced hearing capacity on my right ear. Second larger implant crowded out the teeth in front of the implant site resulting in speech difficulty. Dr. Lassetter denied any wrong doing and mentioned her former partner was on the Texas Dental Board implying that I'll have no recourse. She mislead me to think there was something wrong with me other than the peri-implantitis that she said I did not have. I spent a lot of my own money to get MRI, CT scan, and the removal of the implant by an oral surgeon. She told me there was nothing she could do for me, yet did not refer me to any specialist/oral surgeon. After two years of pain and suffering, I had to find the oral surgeon on my own to remove the implant. After the removal, the pain from the inflammation of the implant site is gone, but there is lasting damage to the right side of my mouth/face.

I went to see this Dr the day after I lost my tooth filling. They got me in fast. He was not very…read morefriendly, but I didn't really care. He put a new filling. A few days later my tooth was hurting and I couldn't floss (because the new filling was touching the tooth beside it). He took a second look and told me that I did not need to have space between my teeth so food won't get stuck..and that the filling will settle in few days and it will become easier to floss.... It has been 3 months and the pain has gotten worse. Every time I floss the floss breaks. I finally went to a different dentist to find the cause of the pain that won't go a way and has gotten worse. I discovered that Dr. Davis had drilled so deep that the new filling is touching the nerve, and that the root is likely infected. My new dentist carved off part of the oversized filling to relieve some of the pressure and crowding, but that is only a temporary fix. It appears that the only way to repair the damage (and infection, if present) will be with a root canal. A simple filling that should have only cost a little over a $100 has is now is going to be a major procedure costing well over a $1000 plus months of pain and a painful oral surgery. Very disappointing. Doctors who don't care about their patients should not be doctors.

Over two months later I called back to see why they hadn't had a response from my insurance, the receptionist told me they had no record of me coming in with a cracked tooth, and no record of sending anything to my insurance. The receptionist herself even held a mirror so they could get a better photo of the tooth for the insurance company. Needless to say, I'm looking for a new dentist.

I arrived at 11:02 AM when I got there, she said give me one second. We are very strict about being late because I was a little late to my last appointment and she went to the back to see if it was OK that I was two minutes late to my already paid for and already scheduled appointment. She came back out and said that she would not be seeing me for my appointment for being two minutes late, and not only that but they were going to be taking me off of my dentist schedule and putting me on a completely new schedule with a different dentist that I had already stated I did not want to see also not to mention me and dentist Kelly already have a very extensive dental plan going on. She said that Megan would be in touch but three days later there is no contact from megan. I never even scheduled this appointment On June 4th, my appointment was supposed to be in two weeks, but they called me on June 3rd and said they have an opening the next morning if I could come and fill the spot for them. I told them yes that I would be there. I also had already paid over $200 for This appointment and then they treat me this way for being 2 MINUTES LATE. I have been going to this dentist for over a decade nearly 15 years and to be treated this way over being two minutes late is completely unorthodox and very Outrageous I cannot believe I am being treated this way. My feelings are very hurt. The tooth that I was supposed to be getting worked on has been giving me trouble for months and I even Complained that it was hurting So for them to treat me this way after even after saying that I have had tooth pain is completely Ridiculous not to mention that The treatment I was supposed to be getting done would take about two hours So they booked me to be there for two hours and because I was two minutes late they canceled the whole appointment canceled my whole dental plan and tried to get me to a new dentist knowing that I have dental pain going on right now. so what did y'all do for the next two hours? Just sit there and stare at the wall. This whole experience has just been an absolute joke and I will never be coming back to this dentist After being a loyal customer for 15 years. I do not recommend this dentist to Anyone unless you're willing to break the law and run through red lights and dodge in and out of traffic so that you are not two minutes Late to an appointment. And definitely do not pre-pay for any appointments unless you want your money stolen last minute. Dr. Steve Childress needs to examine his staff and make sure everything is being done properly because never in my 15 years of being a customer here has this ever been a problem. They are inexperienced in my experience. Which ended in a painful visit both the temporary and the permanent tooth. With little to no regard for my comfort. Even after I asked for only the dentist to do the work, she still tried to pawn it off on the "assistant ". All about the money though! Expected me to promptly pay after two terrible visits. 3 counting when I had to go back in just to get extra glue of the temp out of my gum. Which hurt like hell having the dentist pull floss though sore gum. Terrible! Not going back.
