Incredibly disappointed in my almost experience with this business. Was very excited to schedule a first appointment and unfortunately had to ask to reschedule. I explained in detail that with the severe weather I could not take my 90 yr old father as planned to care outside my home to attend the appointment. Offered to pay in full to reschedule the service to the next day or next week to no avail. Was still assessed a cancellation fee. I completely understand having a policy and the need to enforce it with people that take advantage of circumstances but with my offer to pay in advance for a future service this doesn't make sense. Especially for a first time customer. Don't book here unless you never expect an emergency or problem that might require a bit of flexibility. Very disappointed. read more

When their employee didn't lock the table and I fell onto the floor and hurt myself, I didn't sue or even complain. This is my second time going to Essentials for a massage while on vacation visiting my mom. It's only about 2mi away in the Ruskin area so I can take a Lyft for under $10. It's also in walking distance to Starbucks if you need some caffeine after a relaxing nap- I mean massage. I had Gregory both times and that man's hands are incredible. I made an appointment with Abe to have my mother get a facial at 4PM and a message at 5PM. I had booked a message at 5PM. When we get there Abe only made an appointment for the facial and message for me. Very poor communication skills on the part of Abe. Essentials lost a lot of business because I was planning on being a regular customer. No one seems to care about working there. I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I came in for 50 minutes of reflexology. The person who performed it took me back at almost 10 minutes after, basically said go to room three and that was the entire conversation. No quality service. No customer service. But he definitely ended on time basically shorting me out of 10 minutes. When the person at the front desk asked about my visit I told him I was disappointed and I explained why. He basically rolled his eyes and asked me if I wanted to leave a tip and did nothing about it. Sometimes you don't get good service but there's always a chance to make up for it when you report the problem. Not only was the service bad but nobody did anything to even try and make up for it. Just finished a one hour therapeutic with Camille and she was great! The prices are reflective of the environment. It was clean which is important, but the massage tables were not really comfortable, squeaked occasionally during the massage and were not very heated. I wish they offered a selection of oils to choose from too. There's room for improvement, but you cannot beat the prices. 3 stars because it was clean, therapist was great and the prices were awesome. If the beds were more comfortable (since that's where you spend most of your time) I would have given a higher rating. read more

This place is run terribly. I scheduled a couples massage for a Thursday and the receptionist calls me multiple times on a Wednesday while I'm working to tell me I've missed the appointment. She did offer to move the appointment to the Thursday which it should've already been scheduled for that in the first place, hadn't she made the mistake! But I wanted 2 female masseuse, that is what I felt most comfortable with and she tells me that wasn't available. When I initially scheduled the appointment I hear the lady talking to other people in the background so this was clearly her mistake.
