Vivian did an excellent job on my hard gel manicure! I didn't even know a hard gel manicure was a thing. I had walked in for a dip nail manicure but then recommended to go with hard gel since I told her I would be coming back to get my nails done again. (It's already been 2 weeks and hard gel is WAY better than regular gel. I have no chips and the edges are not lifted at all). She paid attention to detail as she made sure the edges around my nails were smooth and skin was clear of polish. She took her time and was kind. Definitely scheduling with her again! FYI parking can be hard to find. This nail salon is by Dave's Hot Chicken and Starbucks-- two very popular places. She hit me!! I have no issues leaving a bad review for a place that's earned it. In this case, I'll give them two stars because they were able to book me in at the time that I wanted. I got a classic pedicure and I got a gel manicure. The pedicurist could not have cared less if I was sitting in the chair trying to get a service and so that I could pay her and tip her on top of it She was extremely rough on my feet, and I currently have two spots that are sore due to the callouses scrubbing that she did. (Leaving the review the next day) I was uncomfortable sitting in the chair the entire time because she had moved it so far forward my toes are crammed into the front of the bowl. I have long legs and I tend to sit back further. The polish on at least three of my toes has big waves through it not what I asked for and there is polish on the cuticles of a couple toes as well. At one point she hit me. She hit my foot and claimed that she was trying to get a fly. Was she just gonna smash a bug against my skin? One of the worst pedicures I've ever had. Pl if you don't wanna work in the industry, don't work in the industry but people like me pay you our hard-earned money to do a good job. The manicurist did a decent job however because I didn't want my nails cut down. She filed them all the way down not what I wanted. I asked for her just to shape them. then she pulled out a cuticle cutter and sprayed it. She pulled it out from a basket not from a sterile bag. Needless to say, I declined. I asked for a palm tree design and showed her the inspiration pic 3 times. See the picture of what I got. This was my second visit. I normally go to another salon but the gel polish chips within a couple of days and I'm sick and tired of it. I won't be back to either Salon. They do offer PolyGel here though with the tip technique which is what I wanted and requested upon coming but they have certain people to do certain things. Having no appointment here is a no go! If I had an option of 0 starts I totally would. I was trying to find a new nail spot and I came across this nail shop. My daughter and I got our nails done at this nail salon. Less than a week her nails were lifting and getting caught on her hair. Nails should not be lifting in less than a week,. If I could give this place 0 stars I would For starters They over book apts I had an 11am apt n about 4-5 other ladies did as well so still had to wait abt 15-20 mins. Once I'm getting seated (did acrylic & pedi) both the ladies working on me were super aggressive by the way they grabbed my hands n feet. I got a Acrylic fill with silver chrome was charged $145!!! RIDICULOUS because it was a FILL not a new set. Anyways it turned out okay, but literally the next day one nail chipped I had togo back they fixed it, then 2 days later about 4 nails chipped. At that point was super frustrated n upset bc I had togo back after work! At that point I told her to take the chrome off and todo just a regular polish which is upsetting because I was charged $145!!!! Just for regular polish? They didn't even apologize or try to refund me a portion of what I paid. It's been about a week now and 4 of my nails have chipped again. Never in my life have I gone to a salon so AWFUL. Never have I had nails chip or chipped this quickly. I will never go back and honestly I would suggest if u want acrylic togo somewhere else. The vibe and everything is super judgmental as well. Not worth the money or time. Tried this new salon for the first time yesterday. Just a simple dip powder removal and plain manicure. The dip removal was painful, the tech went straight for the dremel, and the setting was way too high. It felt like my fingers were burning. The tech then proceeded to use the dremel to push my cuticles back and was annoyed when I asked for my nails to be cut short. I asked for a plain clear polish that turned a disgusting brown color the next day, photos below. Well.. I started by calling ahead at 5:30pm to see if they would have time for a gel mani and pedi because I understand it's a busy time. They made me an appt for 6:30, I sat there for almost an hour waiting. When I stood up to walk out they said "sit down you're next". I then waited another 10 minutes to complete the hour wait time. I really wanted to give this place a shot since I heard good things and it's beautiful inside but my pedicure was rough and she dug her nails into my feet. She also used a nail file on my cuticles! Callous removal? More like skin removal. My feet were in pain, she cut my cuticles very rough as well and after applying gel she proceeded to spray alcohol on my toes twice which burned so bad!! Is that your way of showing me the damage? Let me not even get started on my manicure. Since I had waited over an hour to be seen it was late, I was the last client in the salon. They were all running out the door fast so they wouldn't have to stay late to help me. The lady that stayed was so rude, rushed and angry the whole time. I refuse to apologize since they made me wait so long, I even said I would come back for nails but I was forced to put my hands in acetone to sit for 20 more minutes since I previously had dip ombré nails. She then shaved off almost all of the dip and MY NAIL leaving me with paper thin nails. I was so upset I told her no and she kept yelling at me "ma'am give me your hand". I decided to let her put the gel on so I could attempt to grow this damage out on my nails. The gel was lumpy since my nails were shaved and damaged shape. I'd like to start off by saying that I had a wonderful experience but unfortunately that didn't happen this time! I went in for a basic mani/ pedi on 4-28-22And by that evening my toes were itching by the next day they were burning and oozing, by Saturday evening my feet were swollen from toe to ankles with huge fluid filled blisters on 8 of my toes! Made a trip to urgent care Sunday to be told that They were obviously infected and staph was highly suspected & a course of antibiotics would need to be started and a culture of the fluid was taken to rule out staph. So after 2 injections & a prescription for antibiotics The swelling has gone done substantially but I am still unable to wear any closed toe shoe.
