***below was my initial review of letting go salon. I will say Lorraine's willingness to work with me and make this right was outstanding and exceeded my expectations by far. You can tell she really values her work and reputation which is respectable**** Lorraine asked me to call her an hour before my appointment to see how she was doing on time. She said i was good to come in at 7. Rushed over from work and wasn't seen until 7:40!! She checked the steelers score game, made a phone call, and worked on other customers nails while working with me. As you can see in the photos my fingers are inflamed and cut up. I showed her a photo of ombre nails with one rose gold marble nail. I have no problem with a manicurist saying they cant do a certain design but she seemed confident about it and this is how it came out! 3 streaks of paint and some glitter. She told me she couldn't do the massage thats usually included cause her fingers hurt but still charged the same price. You can also expect to be rushed out with crooked nails and gunk stuck under your fingernails read more

After observing serious sanitation issues at numerous nail salons in the Menifee area for 10 years, I decided to put my foot down and find a "real" nail salon. Thrilled to have found Letting Go in early March when Lorraine put me on a waiting list and got me in on a Friday when another customer cancelled. Perfect timing, too, because it was just a few days prior to me and my mother putting ourselves on "house arrest" because of the C-Virus scare. Although Lorraine is a "nail artist," I told her I only wanted something similar to what I have been doing a long time; purple base with glitter. I asked her, don't you have samples you can show me from a bottle? She says, "We don't do it that way here. I custom-make your gel colour and glitter to your specifications." I showed her some pix of my nails from the other salon, and she used that as a starting point. Now that I trust her implicitly, I will likely let her come up with her own purple colour and glitter ideas next time. It is nearly a month since I had the work done and only ONE nail is starting to chip so far. I hope I can hold out until my house arrest is over, like another month, by clipping the nails carefully. This is a small intimate salon, not crowded with people since is appointment only. Unlike most other salons, the technicians are not rushing, so plan extra time for this type of quality. Also, be prepared to pay more money here than at an assembly line salon, but it is worth every penny of it. (My last nail shop couldn't even get the colours straight cuz the samples were often in the wrong spot with the wrong number). That can't happen here because there are no samples with numbers! I can't wait to go back for my hands and feet, hopefully by late May! read more

Let's start by it is way over priced! Manicures 25 to 35 dollars. It better be good I tell myself. Here is some COLD water to soak your hands in. Wow, how did I deserve that bonus? They left some extra Cuticle skin. Like all of it! That's right why cut that build up off? Now let's paint these uneven nails. They will look so nice like my teen did them but the special part of this experience is got to pay for it. Save your money, time and go somewhere else. Just one more thing. This Nail Salon is outstanding! I came in for the 1st time back in June 2017. I had a job interview the next day and Lorraine did an excellent job on my nails. I have been religiously going here ever since. Lorraine is so kind and funny. She is very flexible with her scheduling as well. This place is not like your typical salon, it is very down to Earth and relaxed. There are only 3 nail artists, so that should give you an idea on how personable your experience will be. I absolutely love this place and recommend it to anyone looking for a remarkable spot to get your nails done. THE BEST NAIL SALON I'VE EVER BEEN TO !! Lorraine does free hand nails and personalized nail art.. Your nails will NEVER be the same as anyone elses.. She did my first set in October for my sons wedding. They were MAGNIFICENT.. And lasted a WHOLE MONTH( i dont suggest waiting that long) i just got my fill and another ONE OF A KIND DESIGN.. Where do I start? My first time here. I was forced to change from my original nail tech @ a different salon due to a move. There were several nail salons near my home. So I thought I'd try Letting Go Salon. When making my appointment I explained that I wanted a nail tech that could do a natural looking pink & white faded ombré. Of course I was anxious of the unknown outcome since this was my first time here, but Lorraine listen to every detail with what I wanted and she exceeded my expectations. I never really like my thick tips with straight horizontal white line with the ombré, but was told by other nail tech's that they had to be that way. So that is what I was expecting to get. In a timely manner, Lorraine gave me all new nails that I've always wanted, natural looking, thin nails, transparent pink, with medium white fading into extra extra white tips. She also gave me natural white moon shaped tips rather than the straight horizontal line across my nail. The thin tips & nails feel like my own as opposed to the bulky thick tips. I am so pleased !!!! I can't take my eyes off of them they are so lovely. Lorraine, YOU are one talented nail tech. I know you gave me extras without charging me, your generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank You for your attentiveness to my every detail. The picture does not do it justices. This place is A-Mazing! I called at the last minute to see if they can do my nails because everyother place I had gone to had a long wait. They were able to sqeeze me in. I have never been to a nail salon like this before, you are not just a number here. It is a very cute and clean little salon. Michelle did an amazing job on my pedicure, the pedicure was like one I never experienced before but it was fabulous and Lorraine did an outstanding job on my nails. It was my first time seeing her and she did my nails exactly the way I like. I usually have to file my nails they way I like after I get my nails done but not when I left here. Not to mention she is absolutely amazing with the file, she actually uses a nail file and not the drill file, she only used the the drill file to remove my gel polish overcoat; you just don't find that anymore. Both Michelle and Lorraine are extremely talented in their specialty (Michelle-pedicures and Lorraine-nails). I have always gone to different places but I have officially found my nail salon home, they are truly fabulous! I am very disappointed. I had seen such amazing reviews about this place and couldn't wait to get my nails done here. My appointment was at 6:30 and I walked in around 6:15 to make sure I wasn't late and with the possibility she could've started my nails early. When I walked in there were only two nail artists, and both were with a customer. I understood that she was with a client so I didn't mind waiting. I didn't mind waiting until it was 7:05 and I wasn't even sitting in a nail chair yet. I understand that working at the high quality they work at, it takes time, but there needs to be respect for appointment times. Not everyone can sit and wait for an hour. Especially as a student on a Thursday! I went in so excited and left completely unsatisfied and annoyed with the drive I made after seeing such great reviews, just to leave without my nails done. read more

I've been coming here for 10 years and I live in Oceanside. Why is that I drive all that way? Because they are the best hands down and you will not find another custom nail salon like it. This is the second time I have been to Letting Go Nail Salon and I couldnt be happier. Lorraine did them both times and they were beautiful. I was introduced to everyone there and was treated like I was special. Not sitting there being ignored while my nails were getting done like the other salons I had gone to. I wasnt rushed and felt very relaxed. Lorraine is awesome and very much a perfectionist. Love all the girls and all of their work. I will never go anywhere else. I won a gift certificate to Letting Go Salon so decided to call for an appointment for my mani/pedi. I was able to come in today and Michelle was just great. She explained all my options and I decided to upgrade to a gel manicure. I love that Michelle took her time to make my pampering perfect. Regarding the pedicure, I had my choice of two kinds: cappuccino or lemon mint. I chose the lemon mint and it was great. My husband needed his hair cut so Johanna cut it and even trimmed my son's hair also. I am so happy that I have finally found my nail salon. Thanks Michelle! read more

Where do I start ?! This was by far the best nail experience ever for me . I'm used to going to local nail salons where you get an over priced unsatisfactory full set , raw cuticles & sore big toes from over side clipping so this was such a wonderful change ! Loraine did my nails .. she's such a breath of fresh air & she is so knowledgeable at what she does I learned a lot about my nails while I was there .. I was going to get a simple full set nothing fancy Loraine said why not do something a little different? It's no extra charge (she'll specify On what is extra cost if anything ) it was such a pleasant surprise and a relief not to worry about 5 dollars more 10 dollars more ...she took her time I was her last client and she never rushed her work & did such an awesome job ! I met the other two girls briefly & they seemed awesome as well so I'm sure you'll have a great experience with whoever you get ... so anyways they don't cut corners on sanitation it was clean & cute in the salon . My advice would be to give it a try .. you get your money's worth and then some .. a great atmosphere, people you can hold a conversation with & enjoy & most Of all AMAZING WORK ! I understand we're in an economic downfall, but the salon was FILTHY. I WILL NOT be going there again in it's current state. The inside needs to be cleaned badly. Simple things like decluttering, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, wiping it down, etc is a good place to start. I could not believe the filth. It is obvious that health code inspectors (do they have those for nail salons?) have not been there in a while. Yuck. read more
