Ken was extremely knowledgeable about the coins my father kept over the years. Ken's business is coins and their value, while you might google the value of some of your coins, unfortunately the internet can be misleading in what the true values of coins actually are. Something I, myself, had to learn first hand regarding a platinum Manx Noble. While some people have attempted to sell the same coin on EBay for an extraordinary amount of money. Truth is, it's true value is based more off its value as a coin made of platinum than as a coin. If you want to take a chance at getting Google value, then by all means try your hand at Ebay. Because I didn't want to do the hard work of reselling anything on the internet, I had taken my fathers collection to a number of places previously, yet never felt comfortable with selling them for the price offered. Ken not only went through the entire collection, piece by piece, explained their true values (this comes based off a publication that is used by coin dealers as well as the prices of the metal used, not just the internet), and gave my sister and I a more than fair price for the coin collection. I wrote a glowing review for this guy. We found some more coins however and my brother went to Wilshire Coin where he got full silver value with a 3% surcharge. My friend here at Estate coin went through every coin and told us we didn't have anything special and then took 40% for 2 hours work and the use of his expertise. So we lost 2400. That's a lot of money for 2 hours work. Now he didn't do anything illegal. He told us exactly what he was going to give us. The only thing he might of imbellished on is how Wilshire coin would only give us the price of silver, (that being worth 2400 more). It's not so much the money, but my Dad just died and my whole family is upset the way I got ripped off. Leave this guy alone.
