We stopped here for lunch on our way to Florence, because my husband was craving Italian food. Everything was excellent! The lasagne was some of the best he's ever had, and my chicken salad croissant was fresh and delicious. The tomato cheese bisque was delicious, and had just a little "kick", which I loved! Of course, we couldn't leave without splitting a cannoli. Like everything else, it was excellent. Not a great spot for lunch. Wife and I hopped in for soup and a sandwich and it took way too long for not being busy. There was someone prepping food in the dining area. Which is wild. 1 star review, why? 45 minutes for 2 sandwiches to come to the table. One sandwich was wrong. My water glass stayed empty. Then the bill comes and it's wrong too. My husband stopped into this cute little place for lunch to go. He picked up a pastrami sandwich and the special bbq meatloaf sandwich. He chose potato salad as both sides that came with a pickle spear and orange slice. They were all so delicious! He met the owner Julie and the chef who was just taking the meatloaf out of the bbq. Paper towels from Costco tucked up on a shelf. Pastry shelf appeared lacking and underwhelming. This place is amazing! Everyone is very friendly and the food is phenomenal. I don't think I will ever be able to eat minestrone soup from anywhere else. My daughter also raved about the potato soup and said she didn't even know soup could taste so amazing. We also had the Rueben (highly recommend!) and the chicken salad on a croissant. For dessert we ended our lunch with a cannoli...it was so yummy! I can't wait to come back to try the pavlova. read more

Always a thrill to discover a new superb addition to the growing Springfield restaurant offerings. The Italian sandwiches, home made pastrami and amazing king sized cannoli made our trip to Springfield most worthwhile. Nice addition are the several interesting antique shops, Western wear and other stores sharing the spacious parking lot. Amore was a good find. A good meal but definitely different. Ordered the smoked turkey sandwich with potato salad and was very good but something about both items was too sweet. Even the potato salad tasted almost like they used sweet pickles which isn't a personal favorite for me, and the side pickle was sweet also. Also ordered the raspberry lemon cream roll and it was delectable but again very very sweet - overwhelmingly for me. Don't think I'd return due to personal preferences but overall not a bad experience here. read more

Amore is located in an unassuming strip mall in Springfield but once you step inside it's absolutely charming. Flanked by an antique shop and a flower shop, Amore is delightfully decorated and welcoming. The service was wonderful but the real surprise was the absolutely delicious food. My friend and I ordered the chicken salad sandwich but requested that the chicken salad just be served on a bed of lettuce. It's the owner's family recipe and was excellent. Even though we had a light lunch, we couldn't leave without a cannoli. Oh. My. Goodness. Best cannoli I've ever had including in Italy. The owner/chef makes every part of it himself starting with a whipped ricotta cheese filling with lots of orange zest. The cannoli shell itself is a crisp cookie that's generously sized and just the right amount of sweet. Each end of the filled cannoli is dipped in chocolate sauce then rolled in crunchy, slightly salty crushed pistachios. Need I say more. Visit soon. Amore is a gem. read more

Sadly witnessed discrimation and rude treatment at this estaishment. The owners lied about what this person was required to provide to prove their disability. In addition, I heard them explain after the customer left was that they felt she would steal from them and had been telling her to leave several times before. I addressed this with Owner as I work in disability services and instead of acknowledging the error they insisted they were right. Sadly, people should not be decimated against having a disability that requires a service animal or one that may be invisible. I will no longer support this business, they have much to learn about protecting people's dignity and how to be openings learning when wrong. It should be a negative 10. read more

This place is great! Very cute bistro / bakery style atmosphere. My mom and I were looking for a place to grab some lunch, and we both had the 1/2 sandwich + soup option. She had the Italian Sub, and I tried the Chicken Salad Sandwich, and we both got one of the soups of the day, tomato bisque. Perfect sized portions for a lunch and a reasonable price. Good coffee too. They also make their own pastries, many of them Italian specialties - I tried out a Pignoli cookie for the first time and it was delicious! read more
