Best bar on Maui hands down for drinks and speak easy vibes! This is our favorite bar on Maui! Only one thing missing live music. Still the best bar on Maui regardless!

Stumbled upon this bar our last night visiting Maui, and it was such a delight! Adam, our bartender, took great care of us. I started with the Only Fans, which was crisp and refreshing. Next was their Mai Tai, which was far more authentic than all the touristy punch-like liquid I was drinking all week prior to this. I also tried the Mad Hatter, which is quite good if you're looking for something on the heartier, creamier side. Vibes are whimsical and clean. There is a parking lot right beside the bar.

Esters is a great tiki bar with local/ neighborhood bar vibes. I had the Mai Tai but it was a difficult choice, their personalization and twists on classic tiki drinks all sounded delicious. Inside is gorgeous and gives all the tiki vibes you need. We sat on the street-side patio and enjoyed the beautiful weather, some dog table neighbors, and a relaxed setting. Got some yummy Guac to balance with the beverages and would love to see more default vegan options for snacks. Ester's is a busy, lively place. Located in "downtown" Maui, prepare to meter park a few blocks away and walk. Highly recommend Ester's for solid drinks and a comfortable neighborhood bar feel in an exotic place! And if they bring back the "Last Call" drink - that's a fun one!

Friendly and accommodating staff. Cozy cute environment. Love to support new businesses and I had been dying ti check esters out. I don't drink much but what a great vibe.

We visited Esters Fair Prospect on our trip to Maui just over a year ago, and we loved it! It's a cute, vibrant cocktail bar, and it was packed when we went during happy hour. Everyone was talking to each other, and it was fun to meet locals. They offer farm to table small plates and tropical drinks. We had the guacamole as a snack. They had a special on their classic daiquiri, and it was delicious.

The cutest, coziest, vibey tiki/cocktail bar in Maui minus the tourists. :) My husband and I were visiting from out of town and staying in Wailuku. We were so pleased to find EFP when scouring yelp for a local cocktail bar. Upon walking in you're surrounded by different seating, an eclectic atmosphere with great music and funky decor. We found this spot to be primarily filled with locals which made the vibes 10x better. The drinks were spot on. We ordered the Milk Punch, Velvet Elvis, Kali & Fernando and a beer. On the side we ordered the oysters and let me tell you... I'm still dreaming about the mignonette they were topped with. The staff and service was impeccable. Shout out to Kyle the head chef (ps: they have a small but tasty snack menu) - we even got to enjoy a few cocktails with him after his shift. This is your PSA to sit at the bar and mingle with the staff and locals. 10/10 recommend visiting Esters the next time you're in Maui! ** there is a small parking lot attached in case you're driving here!

Thank you, Esters, for being open when we needed you. We wanted to have a drink with friends before the theater doors opened. You provided us with a friendly place out of the rain to chat and sip. I had the Maui Brewing Co. Coconut Porter and Bar Ba poured it like a pro. We shared the Guacamole & Chips appetizer. Not as spicy as I would like and a bit heavy on the lime, but it was fresh and tasty. Maybe this is their signature. Plenty of chips included. Definitely our go-to drinking hole in Wailuku.

Great little neighborhood bar. Small enough to make it seem exclusive. Some folks say hipsters but it's just a crowd who enjoys a craft cocktail. Great staff and owner who love mixing and discussing spirits.

Women owned this local bar and eatery, has some of the bestdrinks on the island. And don't just take my word for it, we sat with our bartender friend who couldn't agree more. Cool vibe, perfectly balanced drinks, great service and patio seating to take in the Aloha. What could be better!?

Per usual, unique incredible drinks and lovely cute aesthetic laid back but fun quirky vibe. Honestly the perfect cocktail bar. Top 3 bars on Maui.... maybe in all of Hawaii?!??? The drinks are hand crafted by some of the best bartenders around. Everyone who works here knows what they are DOING. People are friendly and there always happens to be the perfect amount of people there? Hahaha indoor and outdoor options for seating. The apps are good- my fav is the grilled cheese one-I forget the name but it's CRACK. Anyways, if you're even considering come here you can assure yourself it's a great choice.

Best way to find a local gem! No one greeted us as we arrived at 2pm, offered menus, anything. We sat ourselves, ordered beers at the bar. Great beer selection. Found out after looking online that they had food and happy hour from 3-5pm. No problem, just don't expect a tip. Menu changes regularly based on old photos. We tried the roasted eggplant for $15, and waited until HH to get $2 off the smashburger. While the latter was quite good, the eggplant dish was standout unique and tasty. The sauce in which it was served harkened to African spicy peanut marinade, excellent match with the perfectly roasted eggplant. Wonderful salubrious surprise that will be recreated at home. I asked a fellow clearing plates the inspiration for this dish, he said he'd ask the chef but never got back to us. With all of 3 tables to concern himself with... Everything is a la carte so if you want fries, just know they do not come with the burger. Everything was delicious. The Smash Burger was perfectly cooked, seasoned wonderfully, and so juicy! The burger also had some spice to it! It had some pickled jalapenos on it and they added the perfect heat. I loved it. The garlic fries were perfectly fried and crispy and had a great garlic flavor and kick. I will definitely come back here on my next visit to island.

Quick Kine Pickle Cucumber - nice refreshing appetizer. Personally I would have liked a little more pickling Spicy Eggplant - this was the winner of the night for me. Great chile crunch and fried garlic sauce to make the eggplant incredibly delicious!!! Panko Mahi - standard breaded mahi, nothing special for me to want more of this. It was also a little dry in my opinion. Fatt Chow Fun - Super FAT. I'm not used to this but it did the job. The noodles were 1/8" thick, rectangular cut 1"x2" pieces. I would have liked the meat to match the heft of the noodles. Cheeseburger Saimin - I didn't taste either but the kids whacked 'em. I'm guessing it was good! Kalbi - this hit the spot! The ribs were a good thick cut. The marinade was a tad salty but the rice totally balanced it out. Churro Mochi Munchkins - this reminded me of mix between andagi and poi donuts. Super good, the cream cheese dip was delicious with the donuts. Sweet Corn Mousse - corn mousse over taro paste on cookie crust. I wanted more corn flavor and a nice sour cream/corn drizzle would have made it really good for me. There's expanded parking across the street in a dirt lot.

The restaurant is located at the shopping center where the Maui Ocean Center is. There is plenty of parking. It has great views of the harbor as well as air conditioned inside seating, and a very clean private bathroom. We spend a lot of time here and have watched restaurants not last quite frankly because they have a hard time staying consistent. It took us a couple of visits to give this place a try and we are bummed that we waited, because it is SO GOOD! Our server, Riley, was super friendly and offered us his suggestions, which we took. We started with the crispy kanpachi toll. Then tried the special (uku), the scallops, a salad and cioppino. Everything was so fresh and perfectly cooked. The mash was perfect with whatever sauce the scallops had. We topped it off with two desserts because we couldn't make up our minds. The chocolate cake was okay - we opted for no caramel so maybe that was the missing piece, the cookie in the cast iron skillet was SO GOOD. Gooey, and perfect with the mac nut ice cream. Kudos guys, please keep it up! If you're on Maui, definitely give them a try!

Service: 1/5 Food: 3/5…read more To start off we were celebrating my friend's birthday. The hostesses fake smile upon entering could be better, we mistakenly gave her the wrong amount in our party and apologized, she sat us at a 4 top at first, until I asked her to be moved to a bigger table with at least one more seat for a child, I apologized again. Her tone and demeanor were trash. Mind you we got to the restaurant at 4, there were 5 tables dining outside. Our waitress I think Alyssa? was her name hadn't introduced herself yet just kept reminding us she'd be right with us so cool, fine. She seemed to be taking care of more tables than she could handle alone. By the time she came to us to take our drink orders it was 4:40, she reminded us about happy hour which ended at 5 so twenty minutes for us to get a margarita or two in before it ended. Although drinks took longer than usual. We had to bother her at 4:59 to put in our last happy hour drinks. The margaritas were inconsistent bc the second round for me was stronger than the first the opposite for my friends who ordered a different flavor. The coconut heaven wasn't very good for an $18 cocktail. Food wise, their crostinis for the appetizers were stale and the braised short ribs my friend ordered was dried out on the outside and a bit gamey, which was unfortunate. Our steaks, the salmon and the risotto were a hit. Just to get to the dessert portion of our meal and to get another drink we waited 20 minutes for our server to come back, I had to step outside, sure enough our server is at the hostess stand leaning on it on a phone scrolling probably talking stories with the rude hostess. Server brought out the birthday dessert we sang hbd, she left and didn't take our dessert order until after almost 10 minutes. Birthday girl and I ordered a tres leches cake.. barely any leches it was dry just by looking at it, her and I agreed it tasted like pancakes with syrup. We were both disappointed, my friends ordered the brownie which the birthday girl tried and enjoyed most. Please don't get me wrong Alyssa was kind and friendly. The attentiveness to her guests is the issue. We spent most of our time waiting for her to return and check in on us. Also an FYI, for those thinking of visiting Fuegos. They charge a service fee. In your tab there is three different total amounts at the bottom. Your actual meal total then a cash payment amount vs a non-cash payment amount which is more. Unaware of what percentage the service fee is, they could be adding any amount they'd like for all we knew. No breakdown what-so-ever. If they intend to charge a service fee I believe it should be company policy that they notify guests as well as on their menus/website and by mouth from servers about this service fee. I understand it's common amongst businesses, but a simple notice would suffice. I asked the server about them and she said "it's not the tip, but a service fee we have, I'm sorry". It wouldn't have made us wonder why our bill could've been less instead of paying more. We know now IF we ever choose to come back.
