Wine pairing event
Teri T.

If I lived on Maui this would be my go to spot for an evening out with friends, date night, or just a relaxing afternoon with a glass of wine and a book. My visit to Devine was with two friends I know who live on Maui and we signed up for a cheese, chocolate, and wine pairing event. The entire experience was spectacular, with a range of tastes to pair with each other and friendly knowledgeable hosts. I regular food and wine list provided well curated ample options for any palate preference. One of my favored from the tasting is their house white blend from France. It's light and refreshing but still carries enough complexity to make it interesting. Add this to your list of places to visit, no matter if you are a local or just visiting and looking for a nice place to sit and relax with good company.

Amazing wines, great service, delicious charcuterie boards and awesome ambiance!! I'd recommend this wine bar to locals and visitors alike!!

Needing a break from Mai Tias and beach decor? Inside deVine Wine Lounge you will find upscale, modern, and mature atmosphere. The wine list goes far beyond what you will find at a hotel bar. It comes by the glass or bottle. The menu included orange wine, bubbles, alcohol removed, old and new world wines. Charcuterie and small plates round out the experience. The service is friendly, helpful, and well paced for visiting with your group. The setting looks best for groups of 2-5. deVine is in Azeka Shopping Center facing S Kihei Rd. Map apps may try to send you to a back corner of the mall parking lot so keep an eye out and don't miss it.

We don't go to Devine Wine Lounge often, but it's always a great treat when we do! The Moscato d'Asti is a must, definitely get the bottle. The daily dip is always tasty, the naughty gnudi is rich and flavorful, and the mixed charcuterie is perfect for sharing. Trish gives fun, friendly service that makes the experience even better. Always a good time here! We have sat inside and out, love the vibes of both. Pro tip, they just started Sunday brunch!

If you're in the mood for lovely conversation, many wine choices, and a dessert that is fabulous, then stop in at deVine. Very welcoming team here!

Menu of flights- can't go wrong with either one of these!

I'd like to give this more than five stars if possible! We will definitely be back and we have told 1 million people about this place. It is a wonderful spot to relax and have a mature glass of wine and bite to snack on. The prices are so reasonable And their house red wine is absolutely spectacular. The ladies that work there are so friendly and entertaining - the entire spot is very welcoming and I love the purple and green/teal decor. Now this isn't on the water, and having a beautiful view would definitely add... But add to the prices unfortunately I'll take the no view with better pricing! So this is a win for us if you are a true wine lover or want to stop and have a relaxing drink. This is the spot!

The New Zealand Sav Blanc with the butter combo that comes with bread (not in pic) I chose the truffle and the lilikoi!

100% recommend you check this little gem out. A lovely chill ambiance to meet with my lady friends for happy hour deals and actually able to have a conversation without yelling over loud music or too many people. The geode looking side tables and purple velvet seats make it a sexy chill vibe. The staff are the sweetest people. The prices are right for what you get. Well worth it all. Would also make a great date night. But my favorite is being able to hang with friends and be comfortable with the seating they provide. The charcuterie boards have more than what you pay for imo. Plenty of food. We rarely even finish it all. Parking is easy and they have their own restroom which is a big deal for Kihei A special local spot to meet up!

We loved date night at the wine bar! It's such a fun and new experience for Kihei. It's also affordable! Thursday night we got the board and two glasses of wine for 45. We will be back.

Patio seating areas allow you to take in the lovely ambience of the property. I was nicely surprised to find some very good reds. I liked their 2022 GSM the best. Mele, a red blend was also good, a lighter red than the GSM. We later found Mele in local markets, making it an easy choice of a bottle of wine to buy and take back to enjoy at our hotel. Maui Wine will definitely be on my list for the next time we return to Maui.

It feels like drink prices are finally leveling out even while food prices keep climbing! Food-wise, we sampled every flavor of the sliders. They were all very tasty, though a bit heavy on the salt for my personal palate. We also tried the wings, which come in a great variety of flavors. My only real gripe was that the fries were a bit overcooked, but the service was so fast and attentive that it made up for it. Overall, a great neighborhood spot for a casual hang. Walked in before 5:00pm with no reservation for a party of four. Well, that was a mistake. Despite idle wait staff and maybe only five occupied tables out of 20-30 total they made us wait for about a half hour. The reason was other people made reservations and were expected. When they finally sat our party the restaurant was still 2/3 empty. There was really no reason to keep us waiting that i could see. When you see someone in the party is disabled and using assistive devices you should be more accommodating. It kind of felt like we were being punished for not having a reservation. Also, expect a 3% service charge for the back of the house. Really, for the prices they charge for mahi fragments you could pay those people without a surcharge. Portions here are tiny. My mahi fragments were dry, over spiced and served with two unseasoned baby bok choi leaves and a slice of grilled tomato. For the price of almost $40.00. The beer was good and so was our server so they got one star for that. Otherwise, this place is touristy, overpriced and the maitre d' is slow on the uptake. Overall, there are plenty of great restaurants on Maui, recommend you try one of those.

Thankfully the food is MUCH better than "just okay", it is generally outstanding. I rotate starters and salads because there are so many great choices. The Caesar Salad is about as good as they get, but I really, really like the Maui Greek Salad. With at least four people we start with the Seafood Tower, but find it just too big for two of us. Other than that the Kalua Pig Pot Stickers, Charred Octopus, Crab Cakes and Blackened Ahi are the starters I rotate through. For my Main, I am less eclectic. Table next to us raved about them and although the tortilla and the fish were fresh, the 'blackened' seasoning did me in. Overkill on a nicely cooked piece of fish - hard pass. Lamb, although cooked properly, (and I thought interestingly presented but) hubs is a meat guy and felt all the additions - sauce, relish, goat cheese - was overkill. Have to also say he didn't enjoy the waiter taking his knife to hand prepare a bite the way he thought it should be eaten. We barely saw him after that which further soured the experience. He vanished after the big ticket part of the meal (the 82$ lamb) and mentioned a comped panna cotta for our anniversary after we'd ordered a paid desert. Oops we owe you that next time (but you'll take our money today) Our food runner was great! Super upbeat, always with a smile. Bar area was relatively quiet until it wasn't. We wouldn't spend $350 this way again but would sit at the bar for sashimi and bounce.

Working in customer service means you don't let a bad day trickle down to your guests, and unfortunately, that's exactly how this experience felt. As for the food, it was just okay--nothing memorable. What really stood out (in a bad way) was the pricing. Charging $17 for a burger and then an additional $5 just to add lettuce and tomato feels like nickel-and-diming customers. At that point, just price the burger at $22 and be upfront about it--it's a much better experience than feeling upcharged for basic toppings.
