Gotta stop in - a time or two or three - when visiting Maui! We love the creamy piña coladas, and once in a while, ya just have to get it with a rum floater! We also love their pizzas. We ordered a 50/50 pizza of Chicken Thai-phoon which has a sweet chili sauce, tasty chicken, green papers, pineapple, basil, & cilantro. The kalua pork has bbq sauce, succulent pork, pineapple, & green onions. Both pizzas are unique, mouthwatering deliciousness that combine sweet, a bit o' heat, and lots of savory flavors along with textures. The unique sauces really amp these pizzas up with flavor. However, when we order next time, we'll likely ask for light sauce as even though it's incredibly tasty, it was on a little heavy for our preference. The tiki fries were also delicious! On one of our trips we polished off two baskets full! Savory with umami flavor and crunchiness, it's easy to have two baskets disappear quickly! Service is always friendly! We were a group of nine and stumbled upon South Shore Tiki after doing a grocery run at Foodland while on vacation. We ordered three large pizzas: regular cheese, margherita, and sweet kalua ($75). While we waited, we sat outside on the patio, where there was a live musician who was really good and entertaining. The staff was friendly and checked on us to see if we needed anything while we waited. It also seemed like a chill bar where people could grab drinks and hang out on the patio. We took the pizzas home, and they were delicious. Our favorite was the sweet kalua. It was not overly barbecuey or sweet, but actually pretty savory. The margherita pizza was good too. In general, their pizza stands out because there is not too much crust. It was not crispy, but instead airy and on the doughy side. The reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 5 is because one of our group members found a blonde hair baked into his pizza slice, not just sitting on top. Decided to stop by after a tour guide told us some of his favorite cocktails were at this place. There seemed to be a nice mix of tourists and regular locals. We went at dinner time, and it was steadily busy. We just sat at the bar for cocktails. The bartender really nice, and he was super honest that many cocktails were really sweet. We of course had to try the mai tai first. I would say maybe the second best one I had during our trip to Maui. We left after a couple drinks to walk around and check out other places, but found ourselves back there at the end of the night. A DJ was out on the patio and everyone was dancing. It was a good mix of music, including some 90s and 2000s, so we had a great time. Love that this place is a fun dinner spot with good island vibes, but then also turns it up a notch later on weekends if you want to partake. If I get to go back, I will definitely try the food next time. We heard good things about it. I did leave my credit card sitting there after paying, but luckily they had it the next day. They of course asked for my ID before giving it back, and were super understanding about it. read more

We got out drinks - Mai Tai and a Lychee Martini and the waiter warned us that the drinks are supposedly strong but they were normal. It seems that there isn't much nightlife on the island, so after reading numerous reviews, it became clear that this is the place to be. I arrived early, before the fun truly began, just to try the pizza. One of the great things about Tiki Lounge is that they let you do half-and-half pizzas, which is a nice touch. Their pizza has eight slices, large enough to share. I went for half No Kai Oi and the other half Jungle Pie. Both pizzas feature a white sauce, which was perfect as the person I was sharing with can't eat tomatoes. It was so nice to have that option. The staff was friendly, though understandably busy, but they still made sure to check in on us when they could. I also ordered a piña colada, and let me tell you, it was strong! The alcoholic drinks were not good, but I loved the POG juice. There is an artificial syrup taste to the drinks and the alcohol used tasted very cheap. It was well priced though. The staff are super friendly and service was great! the lounge is located in a plaza with a ton of things to do. Parking was somewhat easy to find. The closest thing to the club in Maui. This was one of the few places that was still open after 10pm. We ended up walking here since it was close to where we were staying. We didn't try any of the food since we weren't hungry. We did enjoyed our pina colada. There's a dance floor outside and around 11pm, it was packed with people. No drinks on the dance floor though. They had pretty good music and it was a lot of fun. Met a few friendly people. We were one of the few people that weren't locals there. Just yuck. This place smelled like a mix of pinesol and puke. The drinks were horrible and don't be deceived by the title tiki bar. This is a dive bar and not in all the ways you love. Service was fine. Waitress was a no nonsense kind of gal and I don't mind that. She mentioned the bar tender was new and you could tell this was a source of annoyance for her since he was super slow and making what were probably worse than usual drinks. But honestly with the well liquor they were using in their drinks even a mixologist couldn't have saved those things. We were going to eat there but thought better after it took twenty mins to get one round of drinks in a bar that had maybe 7 tables going and four people in the bar. read more

This is one of the few spots opened at 10, and after a long day of exploring, my partner and I came here for dinner. I'm a big fan of speciality pizza, so I had high expectations. We were greeted with the most friendly servers! It was open seating and we didn't have to wait long until ordering our food. There was a bar and outdoor seating. Outside had live music!! It added such a lovely ambiance and I enjoyed the artist and her music. We asked our server for recommendations, and she suggested Sweet Kalua, Surf's Up, and Chicken Thai-Phoon. It pains me to say this because of the circumstances, but my Tiki lounge experience was decidedly mediocre. The Margherita pizza was essentially just a smaller Costco cheese pizza with sliced tomatoes for double the price. It also took about 20-30 minutes for them to make it. The entire place seemed incredibly busy and their staff were rushed and stressed. That being said, their head chef was absent due to the Lahaina fires, so being understaffed and down a chef, I completely understand their predicament. They couldn't even make anything other than pizzas, and only the simplest 4 (Hawaiian, Cheese, Pepperoni, and Margherita). Therefore, I want to return soon when they're back to full strength and change my criticism into a raving 5-star review. We always hit this dive bar for the VERY strong mai tais. The inside bar is mostly regulars where we typically sit. The last two visits we've been "welcomed" by very inebriated "regulars" which while annoying, they were not rude or offensive. During the last visit the bartender quickly noticed our table and spoke woth the guy and we were not bothered the rest of our visit. The outside deck is less noisy and seems to be where more tourists hang out. Live music is common with common genres.
