Pricey, quality. Service is great. It is in the montage so expect the price. The real location is shutdown, but it's still open next to cane and canoe.

We came by here randomly as we waited for our reservation next door for dinner. This spot is located inside a hotel, as is the restaurant we were going to (Cane & Canoe). They also serve food here more causally if you decide you need a meal, too but they're a full bar. We opted in for drinks: gin & tonic and a tequila cocktail with strawberries. They were both very strong drinks for someone that's not into drinking. Those who do like drinking would appreciate it more. Two drinks was around $50 which is expensive, but they don't skimp on the alcohol. The waiter was super friendly and nice. We were able to bring our drinks over to the restaurant across the hallway when our table was ready.

    The spa day drink! Yum!

Best place we've eaten at yet! Amazing atmosphere, view, live music. Must try the hot wings, lobster Mac and cheese, and the day spa mocktale. Soooo good! Highly recommend!

We had the montage Mai Tai and the olive oil Cake, both were amazing, the drink like nothing I have had before with lots of flavors yet not overpowering.

My cousins ordered cocktails and our server was so kind to let them know if they weren't happy with it, they could exchange it which they did. The first course of delicious appetizers was the Caesar salad with anchovies and the Kahuku Sweet Corn Agnolotti with Keahole lobster! That was so buttery delicious and small enough to make you want more! The homemade taro rolls with butter, oil and honey was a nice accompaniment. Our second course was just right portion wise and savory. My cousin even said he was full, which never happens since he loves to eat! We enjoyed the 48-hour Wagyu Prime Rib which was so tender and easily cut with a butter knife. Yummy dollops of potato purée and broccolini were beautifully placed around the meat. My other cousin enjoyed his Shrimp Scampi with fresh house made tagliatelle, capers, Kula tomato and basil. The dessert course was a great way to end our meal. I got the Pineapple Upside Down cake with a scoop of Ube Ice Cream, biscotti crumble and Kula Rum Caramel. My cousin's panna cotta was made with local Maui Kuia Chocolate and chantilly cream with a tuile that had light sprinkle of black pepper. Overall, a wonderful experience and only $79 for the 3 courses! We will definitely be back.

So of course we ate at Cane & Canoe nearly every night of our stay. We also ate here for breakfast one day. For the price, I think it's very overrated. But here's what I think are good. - the bar menu has more casual food (burgers taste good, fries are good) and for staters, they give you gourmet popcorn - the dining room has yummy bread starters with honey, whipped butter, and olive oil From the dining room, I really liked their jidori chicken!! more than their steak. Their pineapple upside down cake was yummy and warm too. Their normal price seems really steep though and the views aren't that good. As for service, all of our servers were friendly and made small talk with us, and delivered every plate with a smile. Overall solid 4/5, 3.5 if I had to pay full price.

Definitely make a reservation as this plays gets rocking in the evening. I was only able to get the bar seating and we thought this was going to be bad. Quite the opposite, the bar facing out to the ocean is the way to go. The evening breeze (they open up three sides of the restaurant ) was simply put amazing. The service was impeccable, the food and the drinks amazing. Probably up there with one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Oh and did I say free valet (tip them well, they are busting their you know what to get your car). Okay so only one thing that was just weird. They had this dessert I believe it was called a chocolate purse. Just strange to eat, so that was my only thumbs down.

It was raining on and off but we grabbed Mai Tais and found a spot under an umbrella. We enjoyed the views and chatted until our table was ready. Once our table was ready we were promptly seated. Our server was Barry. He was very nice and helped answer any questions we had. I am gluten free and he told me what items were gluten free or could be made gluten free. I had many options to choose from. We had shrimp as the appetizer and both my husband and I had the macadamia crusted fish. Everything was excellent. For dessert we had the crem brûlée. Normally I'm not a fan but this one was very good! They even brought out a nice little s'mores dessert for our celebration. For the most part every table has a beautiful view. Outdoor patio is first come first serve and I believe a different menu as well.

I've had the Aloha Burger cooked rare with fries. The wagyu patty blend was juicy, delicious and cooked to perfection according to what I love, little bloody. The pineapple, sweet & spicy aioli and the buns were so well complimenting each other. The fries were awesome and so tasty as well. The ambiance was beautiful right by the beach and very casual. Bartender was good but we had to wait about 15 minutes for our drinks after paying upfront because she was having to change out three kegs by herself with no manager or dude to help her out; evidently management at this Ritz-Carlton property. The poor bar tender could have been selling more food and drinks which is the name of the game for business; however no bar-back or even management engagement. The Mai Tai was good when finally received but I was frankly ready to cancel my order. Wife's chocolate coco peanut butter drink was a great dessert first drink but took forever to make. Bartender did apologize for the wait but a little late. I don't mind if not busy but the bartender had to do it all.

We originally had called in for a reservation for 12 and they scheduled us for a 7pm table. We had some of our party not able to join us so I called them back and asked if we were a party of 9, could we be seated sooner? They opened at 5 and we requested to have an earlier dinner appointment. The hostess was quick to accommodate and gave us a 5pm reservation. - I felt that the servers were very attentive our entire meal, always making sure to get any extra plates out of the way and refilling waters often Bad: - it was quite overpriced. I understand that this is a tourist-centered area, but I cannot fathom paying $40+ for pasta... the serving size for most of our food was disappointing to say the least. The Alaskan roll had barely any fish and the rolls were not very big. It was falsely advertised to us by our waiter that a roll could easily feed 6-7 people. Please refer to the pictures below to reference serving size. - the food itself was not up to standard, especially for the outrageous price we paid for it all. The short rib wontons... first of all, I recommend Sansei changes the name of this dish because are a far cry from wontons. They did not taste good and there was barely any filling in them. The Alaskan roll tasted like only rice and cucumber. The cooked salmon was dry and came with a single jumbo shrimp... - our main waiter was rude, he did not seem to have much patience, giving us attitude and tone that did not feel appropriate. Conclusion: Overall, we were disappointed with our experience at Sansei. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, visitor or local, and we will not be coming back.

We came for dinner and a show, and a tour of the grounds, but not a hotel stay. I can confirm the grounds are spectacular, with courtesy cart for longer distance. We came to the Ritz-Carlton expecting the level of service and attention to detail that the brand…read moreis known for--especially considering the premium price and the fact that we're Platinum members. Unfortunately, our experience fell well short of those expectations. Our stay started with being checked into a room that hadn't even been cleaned. After bringing it to the staff's attention, they did make an effort to recover by moving us to a new room, providing $300 in resort credit, and offering us an Oasis bed at the pool, which we appreciated. However, the service inconsistencies continued throughout our stay. One evening we returned from dinner to find another couple's honeymoon welcome package--including champagne and banana bread--delivered to our room. While not a major inconvenience, it highlighted a lack of personalization and attention to detail that you simply don't expect at this level. Pool service was another disappointment. Our initial lunch order of avocado toast, poke, and carne asada tacos took over 30 minutes, and a later quesadilla order also took more than 30 minutes. The staff did comp us a round of drinks for the delay, which was appreciated, but the food itself was underwhelming and didn't justify the premium pricing. What stood out most was the disconnect between the cost of staying here and the overall experience. When you choose a Ritz-Carlton, you're not just paying for a beautiful property--you're paying for exceptional, personalized service and flawless execution. That's the standard the brand has built its reputation on. While the staff consistently tried to make things right after issues occurred, there were simply too many preventable mistakes during one stay. This is a beautiful resort with wonderful employees, but at this price point--and as Platinum members--we expected a much more polished, personalized, and consistently exceptional experience. Recovering from service failures is appreciated, but ideally, guests shouldn't have to experience so many of them in the first place.
