Here at Esthetic Haus, our client's health and safety come first. If there is a possibility that an injury will occur we let you know and won't proceed with the service. Your service was refused because of your medical condition not because you didn't have a doctor's note. Consultations are the day of the appointment. For this reason, the website states all contraindications and other important information regarding the service you booked. In place of the nonrefundable deposit, you and I came up with the alternative of waxing and tinting your brow, waxing your lip, sides, and chin. Respectfully, Esthetic Haus " In response to the above: I was told I needed a doctor's note upon coming for my scheduled appointment in order for the service to proceed following the consultation. A consultation should have occured before a down payment was made then if this was how you would proceed, otherwise this service and how you go about it, is quite discriminatory towards those with this dermatological condition such as myself. Needing a doctor's note due to my medical history was never communicated beforehand. That is an issue; if there is a possibility of refusal of service then a full refund should have been granted, if refusal is a possibility then there should be an exception to the no-refund policy as the service I booked and paid a down payment for was not done. We did not agree to the alternative services, instead the services were done without prior discussion that those would replace what I had come for. When it was realized that those services were being done in lieu of what I scheduled, a credit was requested because those services still did not amount to what I booked for the down payment fee. Overall, this was handled extremely poorly. I expressed my concerns then, at the time, and on private reviews to your follow up emails, so how is calling now an option. read more

As a redhead, I get a monthly brow wax, brow tint and lash tint. This place is a hidden jewel. I don't trust anyone with my eyebrows besides Courtney .. she knows exactly what shape works for your face and her execution is flawless. I want to respond directly to Ruby's review because she was charged a fee for missing her appointment. I have been a client of Courtney's for almost 10 years and have watched her hustle to open her own place. I happened to be the client she was working with when this phone call came in. Courtney took the call and listened to the customer and simply reminded her of the policy. While a family emergency came up (and I hope for a positive outcome) and Ruby missed her appointment, she had an appointment time that was missed... meaning another customer, on a Saturday morning, couldn't book and therefor Courtney loses the revenue. Courtney has had to shut down half her services (aka revenue) purchase PPE and cleaning supplies, and decrease the number of clients that can be in the spa at a time. Supporting small business, especially during a pandemic, means paying your late/cancelation fees and not blasting them on yelp with a negative review (plus posting a photo of your father just exploits him). Even if you offer to come in at a different time, your taking away from a paying customer at that time. Also, brows by Courtney are also 5+ stars. read more
