a menu on the wall of a restaurant

Came in at noon today for a meeting. Although they open at noon, the 1st smell that hits you is cleaning fluid. Not sure if that's a good thing or just not. Cool electronic iPad menu. So the cleaning smell faded fast. Just went for the Udon Noodle Soup, which is pretty big. My associate went for a main and a soup as well. The place was empty and nearly an hour and a half later, still empty. I'd go back but later in the day anyway, or for dinner when I hear it is busy.

Estihana is kosher Asian fusion/sushi bar in a fine dining atmosphere. Think smaller-scale PF Chang's, with Israeli music playing overhead as you dine. Crispy beef and crispy chicken are their most popular dishes. The food is delicious, although what I had was very sweet. Almost too sweet for me. Price-wise, Estihana is expensive, especially if you compare it to regular Chinese takeout. However, Kosher dining is expensive in general. If you keep kosher and are looking for a restaurant for a date, a nice night out with the family, or to celebrate a special occasion, Estihana is the place for you.

Tables of young men, looks like a yeshiva (Orthodox Jewish school) must be nearby. I order shawarma platter: shawarma, several salads, fries. Spouse orders a shawarma sandwich. Salads are spot-on: sautéed onions, sautéed mushrooms, chickpeas, Israeli salad, red cabbage salad, guacamole. Each lovingly and perfectly prepared. Chicken shawarma is flavorful, could have been moister but no complaints. Service friendly and efficient. Value typical for Kosher, $44 for our meals & drinks. Would definitely recommend and return

Large take out business but perfect for a night out if you're looking for great food and have no time to dally. Portions are HUGE! The 2 of us split a platter and added 2 pitas. We had a hard time finishing all of the food. I saw most people ended up with doggy bags. It was a sweltering night and they immediately brought over a huge pitcher of water which was most appreciated. Ample street parking. Go for the great food and service. Skip if you are looking for a fine dining experience !

I had in my mind a superior dining experience in Israel, a similar schnitzel-in-pita storefront in Hod HaSharon. There, because it's Israel, every aspect was superior: fresh, crispy, assortment of salads, and super fast. I was hoping for something similar here. Orange and chrome mid-century modern decor. Simple menu. Good service. Clean. Super impressed at first glance. I got schnitzel in pita, spouse got same in laffa bread, daughter got schawarma in laffa. All delicious and fresh. Service was friendly. It took a few minutes to get our order and they were not particularly busy, luckily we were not in a rush. Once the food came, it was worth the short wait! Bottom line: it's not Hod HaSharon, but pretty darn good for Teaneck! Would definitely return here! The only negative is that parking seems to be an issue. We visited this restaurant at 12 noon on a Sunday and it was impossible to park. I don't know where the people in all these cars were shopping, I sure didn't see a high amount of foot traffic. I have a feeling people just parked and left their cars, maybe attending an event elsewhere. So if you visit: plan time to park and walk!
