Dining at Estrella's is like having your mom cook you a meal at home. And I mean it will taste like someone cooked it at home. I got the Chicken Fajita Omelet, Egg Whites, and it was very good--too much salt for my taste, but good. Came with breakfast potatoes--excellent. Brought one of my sisters with me and she has been dining here ever since she liked it so much. Everyone should try Estrella's at least once and see what you think? Local yo-cal family restaurant.

Great meals at a great price. Easy going Diner atmosphere. Had the chili relleno and wife had chilaquiles verdes. Both were equally superb. Service was very nice, thanks! Will be back for sure. Second visit was as good as first. The stuffed chicken dish was unreal (see pic after I poked at ric). Diner setting but much better than diner food. Yet they also offer some diner classics if not in the mood for great Mexican food. Wife said her Cuervo Margarita was superb. Enjoy! Fourth time and the best so far! Moving them to a 5 star! Ok it's a very nice diner setting, so don't expect a 5 star exotic restaurant. For what they serve and what they do, they deserve what I gave them. This time I again had the Estrella's Stuffed Chicken which was again amazing and prettier than last time! Wife had the Camarones (shrimp) Enchipotlados which she loved. Also they make a superb classic margarita! Keep up the great work!

Estrella's was really good. A local family run business. The service and food with both very good. Definitely recommend this place for breakfast and if you like hot sauce, asks for the house made hot sauce. They have really good fresh squeezed orange juice. The Side of fruit was fresh as well. Really loved the house fries.

I took advantage of my day off on a beautiful Monday to grab some brunch here & spend some QT with the family. I always get breakfast at diners, but for a change I decided to try some Mexican food at this place. I really had no expectations whatsoever since it was just a diner. This place is really authentic, it just opened so there's rarely a LOT of people there which is nice, it's run by a family and the food is delicious, awesome art on the walls and plenty of personalized service You could stay in a booth at a table or at the counter, they serve breakfast and lunch, closes at 4 but again they just opened. I really can't recommend this place more if you like Mexican and diner food. On Main Street, parking isn't that big a deal since there's parking in the back. The owner is really nice and her daughter is the waitress, 100% recommend. read more

Hubs and I have been here twice for breakfast (today and a few months ago) after realizing that Ihop is kind of overpriced for what they give you, and we were very happy with both visits. Service is pretty attentive, and the food is fantastic and is prepared well and quickly. Today I had the breakfast burrito, which was flavorful and satisfying-creamy from the cheese, hearty from the eggs and beans, with little pops of flavor from the peppers and tomatoes (and I love my cilantro!). The salsa and guac that came on the side were delicious. I finished the guac and took the salsa home with the other half of my burrito. Last time we went, I had the breakfast panini, which was also good. It's hard to foul up eggs, cheese, and sausage encased in crispy bread, and it didn't disappoint. Their food is the perfect combination of flavor and comfort. I could see making this a regular spot. They have a good variety of standard dishes and dishes with Mexican flair. Hidden gem next to Nanuet Mall. Great food, great service. I enjoyed the avocado omelette, delicious and it comes with a choice of cup of fruits or oatmeal. The place is casual, nice atmosphere. Kids and family friendly. Coffee is good as well and nice to have a good alternative to Starbucks. Very reasonable prices. Check it out. I will come back with family and friends. read more

This is an interesting café with your typical diner food with a Mexican flair. The place is small inside but lucky for us it was not very crowded on a Saturday night. We had a very large party and pretty much took over the place. I think we overwhelmed the staff with orders, needing separate checks and getting the food out together. The have a limited bar menu and mostly imported beers-no drafts. Those in our party really liked the margaritas. The menu is massive with a lot to choose from. I love places that serve breakfast all day and went with French toast for dinner. It was very tasty and just the right amount of food. What an amazing breakfast! Why is this place not packed on a Sunday morning???? The prices are great, the staff is friendly and inviting and the flavors are spot on. I had the Estrella Special with homemade hot sauce on the side. The hot sauce was very hot, so not for the amateur hot sauce eater, but the flavor was incredible! read more

I was looking for a diner and stumbled across this GEM on Yelp! Staff was friendly and attentive. Tabels and floors look clean, menu had a lotbof yummy choices. The food came fast & was delicious, we ordered the cheeseburger medium well and it came out perfect and juicy, fries crispy with fresh lettuce & tomatoes. We also got the steak fajita, it was flavorful and loaded with yummy juicy steak, the veggie rice was fluffy and the beans had the perfect amount of spice to give it a good kick. The prices are super reasonable and we will definitely be coming back. If you are craving a quiet environment with great food and variety Estrellas Cafe is a must go to! read more

This is definitely one of Rockland's best kept secrets. I have been here numerous times for breakfast, and not once have I been disappointed. I have ordered something different every time and I have not had a bad experience. The staff is extremely friendly and assure a great time. Even the owner walks around to make sure everyone is happy. I have yet to come for dinner, but I am looking forward to it! Highly recommend it to everyone!! read more

My daughter and I really enjoyed our breakfast at this family owned restaurant/cafe. Javier waited on us and he had such a great demeanor about him. Great for breakfast! Loved the breakfast burrito. Was very filling and all ingredients were fresh. My mom enjoyed the silver dollar pancakes with sausage. Portion size is huge and prices are very reasonable. This family owned restaurant is on my favorites list now. The owner was very nice and staff friendly. Highly recommend. This is one of those hidden Rockland gems. Forget any diner near 59, 303, or 304. This is old school diner fare at a decent price. Lots of food!! And their Mexican food is hearty and rich. I love when my plate is colorful and coaxes me to stuff my already stuffed belly. read more

While it seems that their brunch/ breakfast gets most of the attention on Yelp, I can attest that their lunches and dinners are fantastic also. Especially the Mexican dishes. Everything is fresh, homemade and packed with flavor. Red sauce on the side is a must- especially for the sopes and tlacoyos. read more

Thanks to Yelp your saved me from another unnamed questionable Mexican chain restaurant nearby. This place was spot on delicious, authentic Mexican fare for lunch and I'm sure dinner too not to mention they have other types of food in the menu as well. I had a delicious lunch special that came with a free soup and luckily I took their suggestion and had the chicken tortilla soup with fresh avocado and a little spicy kick for taste. Then had a delicious burrito, everything was fresh, no added chemicals here. To top it off it was clean, had a very hip vibe from the interior decorating and most important friendly and fast wait staff. Stay away from the "fake food" at the chains and reconnect with the real deal here. read more

Great breakfast spot in Nanuet. Plenty of mexican/spanish themed options but I went for the farmer's omelette which was perfectly executed. Home fries were extra crispy too which I liked. Wife had burrito which she really liked...but to me it looked a little soggy so I would like it a bit crispier so it could be picked up more easily. She said it tasted really well though. In conclusion - def stop by for breakfast for great food and friendly service. read more

This is an update from a review for I made on Estrella's Cafe a couple of years age. You need to know that this is so much more than a Mexican restaurant. Now, not only is it the best place in the county for breakfast and still wonderful for lunch, but they are serving dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. Dinner specials come with soup or salad, entree with two large side and dessert all at a most reasonable price. I have introduced several friends to Estrella's for their dinners and every one of them has been as impressed as I am. I love their salmons stuffed with goat cheese and spinach topped with a lemon dill sauce, and their honey mustard topped salmon is also a favorite. Neither of these are on their menu but they will gladly make it for you on request as a dinner special. You must try this place. You will thank me as my friends have. read more

The menu had mostly Hawaiian options to choose from. The pricing was very reasonable as well. I had the customizable poke bowl ($15.95). There was a number of different options to choose from with different proteins, toppings, sauces, etc. I had a base of brown rice with avocado, cucumber, sweet corn, edamame, mango, ahi tuna, spicy mayo, ginger, wasabi, jalapeno, green onion, and cilantro. This was nicely done. Everything appeared fresh and it was a good size portion. I would have just liked to seen a little more ahi tuna present, but besides that, very pleasant and filling. I also had the spam musubi ($2.95) and a side of macaroni salad ($3.95). The musubi was okay. It was a little dry. There needed to be more sauce present. The macaroni salad was a heaping portion, and it was tasty. There looked like a lot of mayonnaise present, but it was not too overpowerful as some type of sugar seemed to be incorporated to balance it out. Regardless of what it was, the salad was flavorful. Will I go back? I would.

Hawaiian Kitchen, based in Bethpage, absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the start, they were incredibly easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I had originally requested 2-liter bottles of soda, but since they didn't have them in stock, they proactively delivered individual cans instead to ensure our team had plenty of drinks. Now, for the food--it was phenomenal. Our office hasn't stopped raving about it! The Coconut Shrimp and Grilled Shrimp were huge hits, and the Angus Steak was incredibly tender. Even the Chicken Fried Rice was a standout, and all of their signature sauces were delicious. They also did a large house salad for us with the most incredible Ginger dressing. I had numerous people ask me where I found them, and I couldn't wait to order for their next small house parties or to pick up dinner on the way home. It was all so fresh and not greasy.
