I came to Pearl River with my friend and decided to try Coopers. We ordered a lychee martini and tots. The tots curry sauce was way too salty but tasty. The lychee martini $6 up charge was ridiculous for Ketel One Vodka. The rice and tofu was ok not really spicey or flavorful. My friend enjoyed the pork rinds and shrimp tostada. read more

Finally! A place in my own town that I can rate 5 stars. Cooper's is a small pub located in Pearl River. There's street parking around the neighborhood that becomes free after 6. I suggest you head towards the houses, away from town, if you can't find a spot. I've been anxious to try this place as the pictures look solid enough and reviewers thus far seem content. My wife and I entered with plans to have beer and apps. We ended up getting Guinness, onion rings, fried calamari and the Cooper's Burger. You can't beat a 22oz Guinness for $8. The prices on their website also match what you'll see inside. Lately I find so many restaurants are charging more than they advertise online. Service was great, friendly and very attentive. I was also surprised to see how well they clean tables between customers. Spray, wipe table, wipe lamp, shakers, etc. It's totally clean for the next customer. There are only 8 or so tables in here, plus bar seating. We enjoyed some comfy seats at a high top table for two. The onion rings were great - crisp and battered nicely so they hold together. While almost a little overcooked, they were still good and better than I had at the last high end steakhouse I went to. The fried calamari was fairly priced and a good portion. It had a light crispness, though bigger pieces would've been nicer. They were mostly small, but certainly a lot of it. The accompanying marinara was good and plentiful. We got the Cooper's Burger cooked medium and it came out medium. It's a simple burger that comes with lettuce and tomato. Some red onion wouldn't been nice. They charge extra for all sorts of stuff you can get on top - fried mushrooms, fried onions, eggs, etc. It also comes with fries, which were good. Overall, it was a nice cozy time. Several middle aged couples ate here that night and a couple small groups. No loud bar crowds as they're all on central avenue. In fact, I was surprised how nice the acoustics were inside. You can hear people at your table no problem, can hear the music inside at the right level and don't hear a lot of background chatter or noise. I'd most certainly return if in the mood for pub food. And ... No credit card fee! read more

my husband and I went today, haven't been there since Rhodes, wanted to see how things were going, well a very pleasant surprise, the place looks great the outside has been painted and new. sitting areas . The outdoor area in the back overlooks a water view, very nice and quiet.my hus tried the pork hero, was good except he misses the ajou that went with it, I had the chicken pot pie, very good. our server was Nicole, very nice, served us well answer all our questions in a polite manner. The place is relatively small. The bar and dining area blends smoothly. The high top tables and chairs setups are cozy, has a romantic cabaret touch and seats are surprisingly comfortable. The service is quick and friendly staff. The food was excellent! It isn't your typical pub, more like a classy pub style restaurant. I really enjoyed my cheeseburger. Cooked perfectly rare. What annoyed me was being told there would be an up charge to order mashed potatoes instead of fries when they were the same exact price in the menu. Other than that a good meal. Re: owners reply. It had nothing to do with portion size. I would have preferred mashed potatoes but was told to switch there would be an up charge. If the mashed were more expensive I'd understand but they were priced the same as the fries. read more

We returned for 3rd time and had a great meal. I realized when it comes to pub food you can't do a lot better, so pushing Coopers to a 5 Star. I tried their Shepards Pie and it was simply great. Not only do they pay attention to presentation (see photo), but it carried multiple smooth flavors, not a single overpowering flavor like others down the block. Large serving that I was told many don't finish, I did, it was that good, but I did skip lunch.., Wife had the Salmon which was fabulous, very fresh and tasty. I tried a bit and must say they found a very good cut. The veggies are also crisp and fresh. Nice job! Coopers has been added to our very short local fallback list. For very tasty and fresh Pub Food in a very friendly setting, you simply can't do much better. Keep up the good work, we will be returning soon! read more

The 1st time I was there I was disappointed as the menu is limited if you dont eat beef, I spoke to the GM about the limited menu as she told me they were adding more items to the menu. I went back over a month later and its the same menu nothing new. A turkey buger or veggie buger would have been nice. So I ordered the wings and asked for ranch instead of blue cheese, the order had blue cheese so I asked for ranch again and got blue cheese again. Also someone there kept playing with the lighting. First they were bright and then dim, then bright again. This kept going on for over a half hour. I won't be going back read more

Customer service is horrible walked in with a party of 8 can't begin to explain how disrespectful and disgusting the hostess was. She yelled and complained that she was busy. We didn't even get the opportunity to sit. The hostess slammed a table against wife complaining that she does not have time for this. Felt I was being racially profiled because I was Hispanic. What is going on man we're in 2025 that's not suppose to happen. We literally just walked out. If your going in with your family don't waste your time. Garbage service. Coopers was a nice small bar in pearl river. The atmosphere was more of a local spot where i didn't feel too welcome as a non-towny. Maybe it was since we came close to closing hours (9pm) felt a little rushed as soon as we walked in. Food was good no complaints on the burger and wings. Definitely go here. The food is amazing. We walked in on a whim and didn't regret it. We tried the chicken Caesar wrap and the Cuban sandwich. The food was fresh and delicious. We also had some signature cocktails. The espresso martini was made with fresh espresso and the margarita was the best we have had in a while. The restaurant is clean, cozy lighting, not too loud. Great vibe. We sat at the bar, but lots of families came in. Our bartender/ waitress was friendly and efficient. You can tell that she knows what she is doing and likes what she does. My wife and I decided to try Coopers on a quiet Sunday night. We both decided to have the fish and chips. The fish was excellent! I've been to London several times, and I must say that the fish and chips in Coopers was at least as good, if not better than what I got in London. The fries were great too! We also shared a Caesars salad and the Chocolate Mousse Supreme for desert -- both were very good. Add a couple of Guinnesses and how could we go wrong. The service was also excellent, and the owner was so nice -- he really cared about our experience, and checked on us throughout the meal. The place itself was very nice. It was quiet when we were there -- although I would bet it would not be as quiet on a Friday or Saturday night. I would highly recommend this place, and we will certainly go back -- next time on a busier night. read more
