The Burg Loft hit me with some lofty burgsquirt this time around. So lofty and luscious that I had to return to update my review. I rarely do that, it's so rare that you'd call it raw. Hit em with a claw. Chomping down at the jaw I roar a raw roar of surprise and roar so joyous in nature that it reminds a chicken that it was once a Tyrannosaurus rex. Always remember who you really are under that grease ball facade you keep. The years have served ya well, Burger Loft. This classic was scrumptious. One of the best double smashed I've had. Not overly salty, not overly greasy, not too crisp, not undercooked, super juicy, great taste, perfect amount of cheese and a nice homemade sauce on a solid but undemanding bun. I love an undemanding bun that deserves some funk and crunk out of some quality meat. Woof woooooooooof. Awooooooo. Oh no. The blue moon beckons me. I must wrap this up quickly - You won't like me when the clock strikes midnight. Simple. Traditional. A classic. Burger Loft - A true BILF. A fine wine. Stopped in the Burger Loft with family on a Sunday afternoon. My brother always told me good things that he's tried via takeout but it was the first time coming for him as well. We shared the BBQ Wings before all getting our own burgers. I went with the Mushroom Burger which I thoroughly enjoyed along with a side of fries. However, their "side" of fries is pretty huge so I ended up taking it home! Didn't love the wings but the burger and fries were perfect -- guess that's why they're called the burger loft haha. read more

They don't have an extensive menu, but their food is really good. The Burger Loft/ District 96 never ceases to satiate my cravings for amazing burgers, fries and wings. They brew their fantastic beers. I enjoyed their pils "circle back" which super clean and crisp and pairs well with all of their food. So happy to find another spot where we can enjoy an outdoor lunch with the kids....and have a beer. When its warm enough the windows are open and the courtyard is available to enjoy the outdoors. The BBQ burger is great. The sauce ties the pulled pork, coleslaw, and burger all together. I would definitely recommend it. The kids had the squashed (that's not the right word!) mac and cheese, which was pretty good and had a neat presentation. I was not a fan of the lemon added to the Caesar dressing in the salad but it was still fine. I was annoyed that the tap list on their menu was out of date. There is also way too many IPAs. That being said the kolsh was very refreshing. I also enjoyed the oatmeal stout and Belgian I bought to take home. No complaints about the service. We will definitely be back! read more

Burgers are always on point! The service how ever is more miss than hit... To sit at the bar and have the previous patrons empty beer bottle and napkin stay there for over half my meal was beyond disgusting. The bar is as sticky as a fly trap. Our friends love this place, and when we went to go visit, I made sure they took us. It was a late Saturday afternoon, and the Burger Loft side was packed, but we were able to sit on the brewery side, which is connected and called District 96. The combined space is really large, and it's pretty cool how they are sort of different but run together. I had the Butterfly burger, which had avocado, bacon and cheese on it. You don't get to order the temperature you would like it cooked, they cook it as sort of a smash burger. It came out really good, and it was delicious. The fries are so good as well. I had ordered the 3 Chili sauce which was great on my burger and as a dipping sauce for my fries. My fiancé had the original burger and added avocado. She really enjoyed this and also mentioned how great the fries were. Our other friends ordered the mushroom Swiss burger, and the other also had the butterfly burger. We were all very happy with our meals. The service was great, they filled up our water multiple times, food came out fast and overall it was very reasonably priced too. read more

This is by far the best burger you can get in Rockland County. Can't say enough about this place. The food is great. Today, we both had the butterfly burger, which is appsolutly delicious. We had the fries (shoe string type) cooked perfectly. They share the location with District 96 micro brewery, which has excellent beer. I had a kolsch, and my wife had an IPA. These were excellent as always. We sat in the outdoor patio area, which is a fabulous space on a beautiful day. The service was perfect as it always is. I never have a bad experience here. read more

Came here after being out with my mom and grandma because we were craving burgers. Haven't been here since they opened and was excited to come back and try again. I ordered The Classic but subbed american for cheddar cheese and it came with lettuce, tomato, onion, and their 'loft sauce', which I believe is just mayo and ketchup. The burger(s) were more smash style, so on the thinner side and crispy around the edges, which I really enjoy. The toppings added a nice touch and the sauce was tasty and not too overpowering. I actually was dipping my burger in the truffle aioli and that was delicious. The fries were thin and crispy, all different lengths but majority very crispy and paired well with the sauces. We were all very satified with our meals. The bar was busy due to all the TVs and the restaurant side just started filling up as we were leaving. First off I have to start this review by saying that their food is great. Been here more than enough times to know that their food and drink is consistent and never fails. My go-to is the classic burger and my wife loves the grilled chicken dish. Fries are top notch. Service is always great. My only issue is the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Food: Came here with a party of 3 after some awesome hike near by and filled up on some delicious burger, side dishes, and drinks! We ordered the buffalo, the mushroom and the butterfly along with their French fries, coleslaw and roasted corn! Needless to say- the meal definitely hit the spot! My burger was super juicy and the side dishes were all pretty delicious as well. The drinks were also very refreshing and everything came together very well! Cost: The total price was very reasonable for some burger dishes, side dishes and drinks for 3 people! Environment: The place has this beautiful backyard seating spot that is very well decorated. Very spacious and perfect to sit down and enjoy some delicious burger with some good company while staying socially distanced! Service: We actually arrived when the place was about to close down their kitchen- the waitress was super nice and was very quick to get our orders in so we can fuel up after a long day of hiking! After a 4+ hour hike up near Cold Spring, we stopped here for lunch on the way back to NJ. Well, it's 7:45pm and I show no signs of wanting anything for dinner except a glass of water, so that should tell you something about how good the food was - and how much of it there was. I haven't had a proper burger in a long time, and the double patty classic, sub cheddar for American, was about as proper burger as it gets. Good meat ground in-house really goes a long way. No complaints at all. We also had the double fry fries and split the very intriguing flat mac and cheese, which I thought was very well done for not being creamy. Not a dry noodle in the house. Not feeling the carbs? Get your burger on a gigantic salad. The kind of salad that would be over $20 in the city, especially with the generous amount of everything, including avocado, on it. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, we ended the meal splitting one of the best chocolate milkshakes I've had in a really long time. Sound like a lot? It was. But the hike was long, and we figured we earned it. Should you arrive not having just completed a very long hike, call it a fat day. Thirsty? We were too. It's connected to District.96 brewery, and serves all of their beers. We both enjoyed some excellent hazy NEIPAs, and as much as I wanted to try the pumpkin, it was unfortunately tapped out. Oh, and the kicker? All of this was less than $50. COVID stuff: Plenty of outdoor seating, with a few takers sitting at the bar inside. I am still very wary when it comes to going out during quarantine. Outdoor dining has been opened now and we decided to give it a whirl. I stalked them on their social media and the tables looked well-spaced and not too crowded. When we got there this was the case so we felt confident to grab a table and have lunch. Once seated, there is a QR code to get the menu up. Our server came over with a mask and took our drinks and food order. She even brought some water for our dogs. Food came out shortly and everything was delicious. Fries came out crispy! There's an additional cost for special dipping sauces. We were invited to dinner by friends. I did check out the menu prior to coming and it's a good variety. We ordered the classic burger with fries and the tuna burger with fries. We also had the Caesar salad with chicken. The burgers were well seasoned and cooked well. They give a ton a fries which is great for sharing. The place was packed on a Friday night and the parking lot was full but we found a spot. Our server was attentive and friendly. It was very loud so we had to raise our voices to be heard. What I liked about this place is that the owner was at the door in the front of the house. That's good to see.
