Caesar salad with baguette; 3 wine flight
    Rick S.

Had a nice wine and dinner here the other night. I'd say it's more a casual hang spot than more trendy (at least the night I came). Pluses: select your own wines (half sizes possible) for a flight; they offer quarter pours of 5 different wines you could choose from a limited list. Helpful bartender with good suggestions Neutral: prices Minuses: food options seemed on the buttery/oily side, and not always things that would pair well with wine (e.g., broccoli), yet I didn't try pasta which is apparently a specialty; music/vibe was kind of strange. I probably wouldn't hurry back, but enjoyed the visit.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Bloomingdale area in DC. Slightly biassed as I live in this neighborhood It's a nice fusion between Italian and American cuisine. Depending on our mood we order either a combination of deviled eggs, pizza with a cocktail of red wine / flight of rose with Italian options such as shrimp scampi and lamb meatballs. Portions are great. Perfect quantity and the rest is so good. I am a huge fan of their lamb meatballs. Service is very good. They keep it very classy. The restaurant a nice vibe of classy and rustic. Love the ambiance. On a nice summer or fall day, love their outdoor seating and seeing some of our neighbors walk by and even bring them in for an impromptu dinner. Highly recommend this restaurant.

one of my favorite neighborhood spots! it's adorable inside, like semi-casual but also a nice spot for a date night, and has a huge patio with fans and such so, also very fun when the weather is nice! they have an excellent wine selection; you can do wine flights as well (you can customize one too). the cocktails, though, are honestly my favorite! they're all very cool and delicious. the food is wonderful; the pasta is my absolutely favvv ill get any kind they have! the grilled cheese and brussels sprout salad are also fantastic. the service is wonderful; everyone is very fun to talk with!

The Burrata with the buttered baguette was amazing!

My cousin and I dined at Etabli for what has become our traditional Christmas get-together for indoor wine tastings. I found them on Yelp when searching for a new restaurant that had both wine flights & various food options. Made a reservation for Saturday evening and luckily I was able to find parking on the same street as the restaurant. The host let us pick our seating since the restaurant was not full. We sat at a high-top table but they also have outside patio seating for warmer days. Etabli has a nice, intimate vibe and our waiter was the lovely Adam. He was so patient with my cousin who had many questions. I knew what I wanted for food and received his recommendation on which flight based off what I had the taste for that day- Rosè lol. There are about 7 flight options ranging from red, white, sparkling, a mix blend & rosè. For food, we started with the burrata appetizer to share. It was our 1st time having and it was so amazing! We then ordered our dinner which consisted of the Chicken Marbella for myself and my cousin ordered the Meatball Arrabbiata pasta. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and left completely full. My cousin ordered another flight and a side of green beans before the kitchen closed. We were actually the last dine-in guests who closed down the restaurant lol. We ended up meeting the manager to tell him we had a great dining experience and can't wait to return for future date nights and day dates :) 5 stars for my last restaurant of 2021!

    Blue cheese stuffed date- yummy!
    Maria-Elena T.

We ordered the dates stuffed with blue cheese and a piece a prosciutto on top. They were served warm and delicious. Five of us split it and there were enough. There was one left over and we fought over it! We also split the charcuterie plate. It was a small amount for 5 people. Three kinds of cheese, salami slices, dried apricot, dried figs cut in quarters, jam, balsamic drizzle. All ingredients were awesome. The bread served with it was ok. Mixed feelings by the group. I thought it was too oily but one person really liked it. We also split the Brussels, Tataki tuna, broccoli, and potatoes . Everyone loved both wood fired veggies but the fingerling potatoes stole the show. They were awesome. They were tasty. No leftovers! One person said she usually doesn't like broccoli but loved these. The Brussels were crispy and charred to perfection. Lastly we split the burrata with strawberries. Wow. Yummy. The marinated strawberries really added to the dish. Then we went onto share the Margherita pizza, crudi (meat) pizza, and potato and pesto pizza. All three were good. They were cut into 4 pieces and, since we were 5 people, we asked for a knife to cut them more. Two of the 3 knives were dull (my only complaint!) . By this time were almost full, and did not finish them. I am looking forward to the leftovers. My favorite was the Margherita. We had a lot of the pesto potato one left. But due to already having eating the potato side dish. Matt, our waiter was extremely attentive. He was always watching and got what we needed. He seemed so professional despite his young age. And always smiling! Kathleen the owner checked in on us. I didn't realize they had been open only one week! Place was cozy. Only about 7 regular tables. There were also some high top tables in the bar area. The lighting was flattering. The music jazzy and good background volume. Very comfortable place for a group to go. We were able to talk and laugh. If I lived nearby, this would be my neighborhood restaurant. Bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen in a restaurant. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I'll be back!

    Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza
    Bri H.

Etabli was great! My friends and I started with the fig appetizer which was 3/5. It would definitely benefit from more toppings especially the sweet sauce that was on the bottom. The main courses were excellent. I ordered the lamb and sweet potatoes which came slathered in a delicious garlic aioli which was so so so good. I had to shoo my friends away from dipping their pizza crusts into it! My friends also enjoyed their pizza and shrimp pasta. I'll be back!

    Rack of lamb

This is a great cozy spot offering both indoor and outdoor seating. You can either sit in front of a big brick oven or enjoy the sights and sounds of DC. We were able to find a table right away with plenty of seating both inside and out on a weekday. I recommend getting a wine flight to try three different wines and it is reasonably priced. All of the wines I had were delicious and incredibly smooth. The food was also really delicious all of the flavors complimented everything together. I highly enjoyed the rack of lamb. Served with a yogurt sauce, potatoes, and veggies. The flavors made everything pop and some of the best lamb I have ever had. I also got the spinach artichoke dip and shrimp. Everything can be shared together and I do recommend that route. Service was great I didn't have to wait to long for food and they came around and checked on us multiple times. A great neighborhood spot to check out!

Can you use that in a sentence? Flight
    Chenée T.

Such a great neighborhood spot that I understand just opened in the area. Service was fast and our waitress had great recommendations for appetizers. We started off with the peach burrata and enjoyed two flights: Can you use that in a sentence? and the Pinot Noir, you're a star. Both were excellent! I really enjoyed the white flight as it had Spanish, Armenian, and Portuguese wine that were all delicious and flavors I hadn't tried before. We finished off our meal sharing the southwestern sour dough pizza. The sourdough crust was really fantastic, but the flavors on that pizza felt a little disjointed and it was also hard to eat because they weren't combined together well. The dough and the crust were really great though. I would love to try their other pizzas or their pasta the next time I visit.

It's a basement bar with a bit of a dive vibe, but it's hard to ignore the nautical, blue crab theme throughout. Not saying that dining companions are distracting, but I felt like I could fully experience the flavor of both the Taglioni Neri and Gnocchi, both half portions at $10 each, better on my own. When the dishes came, I saw that the sauces were both red and feared they would taste too similar. After one fork full of each, they are quite clearly distinct. The standout in the Neri were the shellfish for me. Even though they were small bits, the pieces tasted fresh. In the Gnocchi, the saltiness of the prosciutto, though not overwhelming, paired well with the basil sauce. I finished a little more than half of each plate before boxing it up for a small lunch the next day. The service was great and the tall ceiling and windowed dining room provided a nice atmosphere. It was a cloudy and rainy Memorial Day, but I wondered what the sunlight looked like shining through those high windows. How lovely a space they have created to enjoy fine Italian dining in.

Ambiance: the restaurant is beautiful but note that martini hour takes place in a small bar area with limited seats. Bites: there weren't much to eat at martini hour so we moved to the general area afterwards to enjoy some food. Service: the staff was amazing and very accommodating. Shoutout to Nesto, the best bartender around! Martinis: Morini Martini: I absolutely love this drink. It was crisp, refreshing, and had a little bold flavors from the white pepper. I absolutely loved this drink and would get it again Sicilian Martini: another fav! Think summer time refreshing with a hint of sweet and citrus burst from the mandarin and lemon Espresso Martini: this drink was another great selection. Freshly brewed and perfectly prepared. I loved it Least favorite: Cala Rossa. I only disliked the drink because it was very sugary and I don't really enjoy sugary drinks. Food: Rigatoni: this dish was divine! And quick note, the smaller plates were perfect serving sizes. But back to the dish. The pasta was cooked al dente and the lamb ragu was soooooooooooooo good! No seriously, it was absolutely divine. Perfectly seasoned and rich in flavors. Other members of my party enjoyed their dishes: Cappelletti and Paccheri Alla Norma, both were described as absolutely perfect. Excellent evening, great service, incredible food and perfect drinks! What's not to love about this place?! I'll be back!

Ddukbokgi is chewy rice cakes, gochujang, onion, and bulgogi. We thought it was only ok -- we've had better, including at Mandu in the past. Yukgaejang was a new dish for me. The menu described it as a "spicy beef stew, brisket, noodles, shiitake, bean sprouts, and egg." I expected the brisket to be sliced and recognizably brisket, but it was pulled -- it looked and tasted more like pulled pork. The dish also didn't have any noodles in it. I didn't like it. The banchan was seaweed, bean sprouts, kimchi, and cucumbers. It was okay. Service at the bar was fine.
