Ethereal Gardens delivered an absolutely incredible wedding experience. The venue is stunning, the grounds are impeccably maintained, and both we and our guests felt very well cared for throughout the day. The food deserves a special mention.. from cocktail hour to dinner to late-night bites, everything was delicious and widely raved about. The dining experience to choose our menu was such a fun highlight and something we highly recommend. Bar service, valet, and overall guest experience were seamless and elevated. We selected our DJ from the venue's preferred list and Greg with SD Party Time DJs was phenomenal -- he live spun our wedding and somehow blended Taylor Swift with heavy metal flawlessly. The dance floor was packed all night. While there were a few things we wish we'd known ahead of time (design option clarity, food not being boxed at the end of the night, and end-of-night teardown logistics), none of these detracted from how magical the day was, but would have been nice to know before hand.. With a bit of advance planning, these are all easily managed. Overall, Ethereal Gardens felt like a true luxury wedding experience. We're so grateful for our day and would absolutely recommend this venue to future couples. Posted some personal images but the Professional Photos from Sierra Dawn Photo. Beautiful place, I didn't even know it existed before but was very happy to learn about them. They have a very nice venue. And the bride and groom rooms are a dream for us photographers.

Top notch wedding venue. Beautiful views all around the space. Great outdoor areas overlooking the hills. Highly recommend!

Ethereal Garden could not have been a more perfect wedding venue. They've been in the wedding business for years, and it truly shows--our wedding exceeded all of my expectations (and I have very high expectations!). The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. I could not contain my emotions walking down the aisle in the Grotto--it was the most beautiful setup I have ever seen. The space was perfectly shaded, and our photos turned out stunning. After the Grotto, guests moved on to the bar area and starlit lawn, then under the tent for the reception. The flow between each space was beautifully planned. Not to mention the giant lawn, perfect for sunset photos. Our guests loved every minute of it. The staff were AMAZING! You could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. They checked in with us every step of the way. I tend to get anxious with events like this, but I had zero anxiety on my wedding day--which rarely happens! They took care of everything, from keeping the timing smooth to packing up at the end of the night. A special thank you to our coordinator, Alyssa Dubois. She has a natural ability to connect with people and make everyone feel comfortable, including my mother-in-law--which is no small feat! I hope I get to come back as a wedding guest at Ethereal Garden in the future. I cannot recommend this venue enough. Photos shared were taken by @arcfilm Videos shared were taken by @jvcam.co

Ethereal Gardens with Trademark venues was an exceptional location that my daughter and son-in-law planned their wedding. Makayla was AWESOME and went above and beyond with the help of her staff to make the experience of planning, preparing, and having the wedding a truly wonderful stress free, beautiful, and FUN ceremony and reception. Billy was also very appreciated for all his help in making sure everything flowed perfect. He even had the right words to say to a very emotional bride right before she walked down the aisle . We all appreciated the staff and all they did to make this wedding celebration so perfect. Thank you!!!!

This was literally the best day of my life. When I first saw the Woodland Grotto, I knew that this venue would be my dream venue. I've always wanted a garden wedding and Ethereal Gardens was the best place for it. It is super spacious and we get to have the entire venue to ourselves for our wedding day. From going on the tour, it was super easy to walk around the venue. There were multiple areas to have your ceremony, but I think the star of the venue was the Woodland Grotto. It was everything I have dreamt of and just beautiful. The whole garden was also very well maintained and everything was clean. The design and look of the suites were just amazing! They had showers, multiple bathrooms, multiple rooms, and this beautiful hanging bed for photos. The grooms suite had games, bathrooms, and a room to get ready in as well. There was a big field, a barn, and a chapel where you can also have your ceremony in! But if you were to choose Ethereal Gardens for your wedding, I highly recommend having it at the Woodland Grotto. The bride and bridesmaids had a bridal salon where you can get ready prior to the wedding as well that you are allowed to be in at 11:30 am. There were salon chairs, mirrors, a small kitchen, a shower, bathroom, and two extra rooms for storage and hanging out while everyone was getting ready. Marissa was my wedding coordinator and she was extremely on top of things for me throughout the whole process. From our first meeting up until the wedding day, she made sure that my husband and I were the priority of this wedding, which it should be. She had one goal and that was to make sure that it was the best day of our lives. I strive to become an event coordinator like her in the future if I were to ever take this through my career. She made sure that my vision came to life and come to my wedding day, she handled it so well! It was so easy to work with her as they have a certain way of doing things at the venue which makes it so smoothly and flawlessly during the day of the wedding. I cannot say anymore good things about Marissa, I am so thankful for her. They handled all the decor set up and tear down which made the process easier and had my family actually enjoy the wedding and not having to work on the wedding. The servers were super nice and the bartenders were on top of everything as well. I think the only downside of this venue is that we aren't allowed on property until 11:30 for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready and the groom and groomsmen weren't allowed on property until 2:30 pm which led us not being able to use the groom and bride's suite as much. You are welcome to come onto the suites hours earlier BUT having to pay $1500 was going to be difficult for me. BUT other than that, I think that was the only downside about the venue.

This was the dream wedding venue! We got married here in March and it was the most perfect day. Amy was our coordinator and she was amazing. She made our vision come to life and it was the perfect day. The whole process was seamless and I can't say enough great things about this place. The gardens are absolutely beautiful, the food and apps were perfect and everyone on their staff was so kind. They really made my wedding day a dream!!

This venue has dedicated cottages for the Bride and Groom that have been decorated with them in mind as well as photographers and videographer; every corner has been styled while also allowing natural light to stream inside. Organic tunnels throughout the venue where vines flourishing over each arch. As we have the bride and groom or wedding party stand together, it becomes a tunnel vision of beauty and green moments captured. The most unique ceremony site as it takes place in a concave hanging greenery arrangement. The 'ceiling' is curved create a tunnel purely made up of plants while the sun beams in from the west.

We just had our wedding at Ethereal Gardens in November and this was the best decision we could have made. The Trademark Venues team and our wedding planner Natalia were amazing. They handled all of our decor set up and tear down which was a huge relief. We were in good hands with Natalia and her assistant on our big day. They really went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. And the venue was magical. Our friends and family are still complimenting us on how beautiful our wedding was. I would highly recommend using one of their venues for your wedding.

We just had our beautiful wedding at Ethereal Gardens! Morgan was our coordinator and she was amazing!! They were so attentive to us on our big day and leading up to that day they were amazing with email communication! 10/10!!! Such a memorable day!

Ask the Community - Ethereal Gardens

Curious on the most common ways of transportation for guests at the end of the night? I know guests can leave cars over night but do most people Uber? Shuttles?

Since ethereal is practically in the middle of nowhere, we didn't want our guests to depend on the availability of Uber and Lift. We hired two shuttle buses to pick up our guests from the Welk resort and to take them back to the resort after the… Read more

Are there any hotels close by?

Our party stayed at The Welk Resort in Escondido which is only 6 miles from Ethereal.

Do you allow open bar for all locations?

We had open bar from the time the cocktail reception started up to a half hour before the wedding reception ended.

How was the reception tent area during summer (June), curious if the A/C and heaters were adequate?

Yes I have been in the tent during that time of year and they are more than adequate. As a matter of fact there was a client privilege event with photo booth and dancing and such just the other night and it was beautiful in there

They went above and WAY beyond to ensure our special day was perfect. My husband and I had the luxury of getting married last year at their location and our postponed reception this year. When planning our wedding we originally booked a different location, not knowing that Las Mariposas existed. We found Las Mariposas Estate and IMMEDIATELY fell in love. We threw all original plans out the window and booked at the estate in a heartbeat. Arleth and Mario, the venue owners, hosted a mixer where all vendors were present and it was the easiest decision, other than to marry each other, we have ever made. (You can bring your own vendors, but they picked a good set of vendors as recommendations). Their venue is stunning and their vendor recommendations are affordable and over the top amazing. I highly recommend Las Mariposas Estate to anyone and everyone. They are even growing their venue to include an amazing ballroom!! Thank you for everything, your hard work didn't go unnoticed one bit! We always thought the wedding process would be stressful, but Las Mariposas took the stress out of planning! P.S. if you like lemonade, you have to ask Arleth and Mario about their lavender lemonade. Hands down, the best lemonade we have ever tried.

When we arrived, we couldn't help but notice how filthy this place was. There were cobwebs in every room, including the bedrooms. There was filth behind the pedestal sink, in our room as well as others and the floor beneath the trundle bed had not been vacuumed in ages. The windows, kitchen floor, oven range hood, range top and dishwasher were filthy. I had to wash the coffee maker because it had old dried out coffee grounds inside. The kitchen floor was so filthy, I wiped up a small bit of water, with a paper towel and was nearly black. The oven would not close properly, which rendered it nearly useless. We were only able to use it by propping a trach can against the oven door, to keep it closed. The seal, for the freezer drawer, was literally hanging out of the bottom of the drawer. There were no dish towels and insufficient washcloths, bath towels and face towels for guests. Several bedroom smoke alarms still had the yellow "REMOVE TO ACTIVATE" plastic strips in them, which meant they were inoperable. I removed those strips, from several smoke alarms, only to find the batteries were dead and expired 22 months earlier. The pool was too cold to swim in. It was supposed to be heated and it was not. We had to request paper towels for the restrooms, in the reception hall, because both dispensers were empty. Several guest rooms smelled of sewer gas. We contacted the owner regarding the odor however, maintenance personnel were unable to resolve it. For the prices this place charges, they should be ashamed.

But here's my notes on the property: overnight accommodations, great place, only issue would be parking. For 3 days and 2 nights you rent the guest cottage as well as the ballroom/main kitchen and terrace areas of the main house for about $8,500 for all the events. The only thing they would like is to not use both locations for any particular one event. But you can have the rehearsal at either, the wedding/cocktails (pretty much anywhere food or beverage is served) at one or the other, the ceremony at one and Sunday brunch at either. More than likely, it works the best with the cottages being the place for a rehearsal dinner, maybe ceremony, the main house for ceremony and reception, and guest cottages for Sunday brunch. They are flexible on outside vendors, but do have a preferred list. Outside vendors must be insured and licensed. This place reminds me of much of Montecito except Bonsall is re-surging from strictly old rural areas to newer neighborhoods so there are still pockets of rural/horse farms in between nice properties. The view is country hillsides. The roads as of 2012 were undergoing construction. Would have to check back and see what progress has been made to make the trip there more beautiful and to see what Saturday afternoon, Friday evening, Saturday night and Sunday morning traffic would be like. May cost about $2000 to solve the parking issue. Not sure what the costs are going to be for on site transport. Overall the customer service was good, but it definitely seemed for a property that wants to do weddings on an exclusive basis there is way too much DIY costs here to accommodate it. It's just a great house on a tree filled property that originally wasn't meant for events. The layout alone provides conflicts and at first they seemed flexible but as I asked further questions about working around the issues there seemed to be less flexibility. Couple that with the owners living on site and you essentially borrowing their space, it just feels awkward and less exclusive to me. The lose a star for that, but other than is a great property. If you aim low, have a small guest list, your guests won't mind a shuttle or carpooling, can do without a valet, do not mind sharing a property with someone, do not need to accommodate disabilities/elderly much or require more than 2-4 peoples worth of overnight accommodation, you should be fine.
