As a wedding photographer, I get to experience venues from a very unique perspective--and Ethereal Gardens in Escondido truly lives up to its name. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how intentionally the space is designed. It was a rainy November day and the gardens felt lush and intimate without being crowded, and every corner offers beautiful, natural backdrops that photograph effortlessly. Even though it was raining the greenery and gray sky created the softest light that felt romantic and dreamy. What really stood out to me was how smoothly the day flowed. The layout of the venue makes transitions--from getting ready, to ceremony, to cocktail hour and reception--feel seamless, which is a huge gift for both couples and vendors. The team at Ethereal Gardens was wonderful to work with. They were organized, calm, and clearly experienced, which made it easy for me to focus on capturing genuine moments rather than navigating logistics (This is HUGE for a photographer). Not all venues experiences are created equal and this team stood out. They were ready with umbrellas and fresh drinks for the Bride and Groom at every moment. As someone who photographs weddings regularly, I can confidently say this is a venue that supports both the couple's experience AND the creative process. Beautiful venue and great service. The only downside is that the parking is a dirt lot that was pretty rough on our car and that the view is slightly obstructed by an abandoned boxcar. I was the officiant for my friends wedding here. The groom and bride rooms were spacious and really clean. The ceremony under the hanging ferns has got to be one of the prettiest ceremony spaces I've seen. The dinner area that was under the white tent was also very well decorated and spacious. Everyone working was very friendly and helpful. Kind of cool/helpful that they have walkie talkies to converse with each other throughout the venue. read more

Loved visiting and attending a wedding at Ethereal Gardens in Escondido! Didn't know this venue existed but it was so beautiful and very simple. Arrived and the valet process was very smooth. They gave us directions on where to walk to the reception. The ceremony was in their woodland grotto which had a canopy of leaves/plants above. It was about to rain but as it started it cleared up immediately and the lighting got really bright. We then had cocktail hour after with appetizers and mocktails. One of their yogurts they gave out was so good and addicting. There was also a place to take pictures outside. Food during the dinner was amazing, loved that roast with mashed potatoes. Ethereal Gardens delivered an absolutely incredible wedding experience. The venue is stunning, the grounds are impeccably maintained, and both we and our guests felt very well cared for throughout the day. The food deserves a special mention.. from cocktail hour to dinner to late-night bites, everything was delicious and widely raved about. The dining experience to choose our menu was such a fun highlight and something we highly recommend. Bar service, valet, and overall guest experience were seamless and elevated. We selected our DJ from the venue's preferred list and Greg with SD Party Time DJs was phenomenal -- he live spun our wedding and somehow blended Taylor Swift with heavy metal flawlessly. The dance floor was packed all night. While there were a few things we wish we'd known ahead of time (design option clarity, food not being boxed at the end of the night, and end-of-night teardown logistics), none of these detracted from how magical the day was, but would have been nice to know before hand.. With a bit of advance planning, these are all easily managed. Overall, Ethereal Gardens felt like a true luxury wedding experience. Ethereal Garden could not have been a more perfect wedding venue. They've been in the wedding business for years, and it truly shows--our wedding exceeded all of my expectations (and I have very high expectations!). The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. I could not contain my emotions walking down the aisle in the Grotto--it was the most beautiful setup I have ever seen. The space was perfectly shaded, and our photos turned out stunning. After the Grotto, guests moved on to the bar area and starlit lawn, then under the tent for the reception. The flow between each space was beautifully planned. Not to mention the giant lawn, perfect for sunset photos. Our guests loved every minute of it. The staff were AMAZING! You could tell they knew exactly what they were doing. They checked in with us every step of the way. I tend to get anxious with events like this, but I had zero anxiety on my wedding day--which rarely happens! They took care of everything, from keeping the timing smooth to packing up at the end of the night. A special thank you to our coordinator, Alyssa Dubois. She has a natural ability to connect with people and make everyone feel comfortable, including my mother-in-law--which is no small feat! Ethereal Gardens is truly a magical venue! It was beyond what we could have hoped for a wedding. When starting the wedding planning process I knew I wanted a venue that was an expert at weddings and would guide me along the way. I did not want a DIY wedding where I had to bring everything in myself. From the beginning of our experience, we had consistent and great communication with Trademark/Ethereal. Our wedding coordinator was Jeselle and she was amazing! Highly recommend requesting her if you choose this venue. She had frequent check ins with us to keep us on track, provided us with some recommended vendors, shared ideas of items that work well in the space, helped create our vision and was our day of coordinator. The venue is absolutely stunning with so many options for ceremony sites and pictures. My guests loved the grotto. The staff was beyond friendly. The bartenders came up and introduced themselves to my parents and myself. As we were cleaning up some staff members went out of their way to compliment our wedding details. The food was very tasty! We loved the family style experience and they were able to cater to any necessary dietary restrictions. Overall, could not have asked for more from a wedding experience. This was literally the best day of my life. When I first saw the Woodland Grotto, I knew that this venue would be my dream venue. I've always wanted a garden wedding and Ethereal Gardens was the best place for it. It is super spacious and we get to have the entire venue to ourselves for our wedding day. From going on the tour, it was super easy to walk around the venue. There were multiple areas to have your ceremony, but I think the star of the venue was the Woodland Grotto. It was everything I have dreamt of and just beautiful. The whole garden was also very well maintained and everything was clean. The design and look of the suites were just amazing! They had showers, multiple bathrooms, multiple rooms, and this beautiful hanging bed for photos. The grooms suite had games, bathrooms, and a room to get ready in as well. There was a big field, a barn, and a chapel where you can also have your ceremony in! But if you were to choose Ethereal Gardens for your wedding, I highly recommend having it at the Woodland Grotto. The bride and bridesmaids had a bridal salon where you can get ready prior to the wedding as well that you are allowed to be in at 11:30 am. There were salon chairs, mirrors, a small kitchen, a shower, bathroom, and two extra rooms for storage and hanging out while everyone was getting ready. Marissa was my wedding coordinator and she was extremely on top of things for me throughout the whole process. From our first meeting up until the wedding day, she made sure that my husband and I were the priority of this wedding, which it should be. She had one goal and that was to make sure that it was the best day of our lives. I strive to become an event coordinator like her in the future if I were to ever take this through my career. She made sure that my vision came to life and come to my wedding day, she handled it so well! It was so easy to work with her as they have a certain way of doing things at the venue which makes it so smoothly and flawlessly during the day of the wedding. I cannot say anymore good things about Marissa, I am so thankful for her. They handled all the decor set up and tear down which made the process easier and had my family actually enjoy the wedding and not having to work on the wedding. The servers were super nice and the bartenders were on top of everything as well. I think the only downside of this venue is that we aren't allowed on property until 11:30 for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready and the groom and groomsmen weren't allowed on property until 2:30 pm which led us not being able to use the groom and bride's suite as much. You are welcome to come onto the suites hours earlier BUT having to pay $1500 was going to be difficult for me. BUT other than that, I think that was the only downside about the venue. read more

I highly highly recommend considering Trademark Venues when looking for a wedding venue. I toured 4 of their gorgeous venues and fell in love with Ethereal Gardens. It was everything that I imagined and more for my wedding. I booked the venue about a year out and worked with Amy Hayashi who was our planner/coordinator that came with the venue. She was so wonderful to work with and made a lot of the process easy and seamless. On the day of she made sure everything we had discussed was set up accordingly, ensured timeline was followed and made sure me and my husband were well taken care of all day. The trademark staff were also great and very professional. I can't say enough things about the beautiful venue itself. There are so many options with your ceremony and reception. We had our ceremony under the Woodland Grotto which was what initially drew me to the venue in the first place. It was truly a dream come true. I want to thank our team at Ethereal Gardens and Trademark Venues for helping make our wedding day absolutely perfect. Planning a wedding can be super stressful, but each person we worked with truly did their best to make things smoother for us. Granted, there were a few minor rough patches here and there but in the end it all worked out perfectly. It's definitely not a cheap venue to book, but you do get what you pay for! One thing I do wish could have been different was I wish we had more time in the girls and guys ready rooms. We both felt like we didn't get to actually hang out in them and had to immediately get dressed and start taking pictures. The guys room in particular is epic but there just wasn't enough time to fully enjoy it. I would suggest allowing the use of those rooms at least an hour earlier than currently. That was the only part of the day that felt a bit rushed. I recommend talking with your coordinators over the phone or in person rather than email, but either way they are very responsive and helpful! A special shoutout for our coordinator Marissa, who was just a delight to work with and be around. She impressed me so much with how she handled everything. She made sure everything went off without a hitch and on the day made sure my new wife and I were fully taken care of. She brought us food and drinks when we needed them and made sure we got to use our photo booth before it closed. Countless examples of how amazing she was. Another shoutout to the bartending team who helped make a custom drink we wanted to share with our guests. It was a big hit! Way overdue on this review!! Having our wedding at Ethereal Gardens was by far the best decision we ever made. Both my husband and I loved every photo we saw of the property before visiting but were in complete awe/fell in love with the venue after touring it in person. The venue speaks for itself - green, lush, beautiful flowers, ambiance, well kept; seriously a complete magical experience just being there...so gorgeous!!! Trademark is unmatched - part of me wanted to hire an outside planner/coordinator because I was told that sometimes it's difficult working with venue hired planners...this couldn't be further from the truth. I am so grateful for trademark and specifically for ANGEL BAZAN; our planner/coordinator. I kid you not, as soon as I was connected with Angel I probably emailed/called him once a week with questions/asking for advice/feedback/recommendations. Angel answered every single email, every single phone call with so much grace, with so much patience, with fabulous recommendations and was always so accommodating/understanding. Angel seriously went above and beyond to ensure every last detail was checked off and as a result made our wedding day a fairytale/dream come true. I also want to shout out Ashley, the night of our wedding her and Angel worked together to make sure everything went smooth and ensure both my husband and I were happy/comfortable throughout the evening. Ethereal Gardens will forever be our favorite place, trademark will always have a special place in our hearts, and we couldn't love Angel more if we tried. I just got married on October third, 2024 at Ethereal Gardens. Not only was this the most BEAUTIFUL wedding venue I have ever been to, the entire Trademark team was also amazing. We are still receiving compliments about how beautiful the space was and how attentive and wonderful all of the staff was. I had my wedding on 1/26/24 and I cannot put into words just how amazing Ethereal Gardens + their staff is. From the moment we got to the venue we immediately were greeted by our bridal assistant Kaitlin and my planner Gina. Kaitlin was constantly checking in on us girls and the boys, getting us drinks or anything we needed. She was also so sweet in helping to hold my dress as I was walking and taking pictures so that it wouldn't get dirty. She was so sweet and attentive. I like every bride was nervous in trusting people to bring my wedding vision to life and WOW was I blown away at how amazing they did setting up my decor. Their setup crew was phonmenal and not a single thing was misplaced. Now a moment for the food...the BEST food I have ever had at a wedding. We ended up doing family style and I am so happy we did. The chicken was delicious, the trip tip was so full of flavor and those mashed potatoes were delicious. I can honestly say every one of my guests said the food was the best they have had. Highly recommend doing family style that way your guests get to enjoy everything instead of having to only choose one thing. The staff was 10/10, every single person was so nice and attentive to me, my husband and our guests needs. My guests especially loved the two female bartenders we had (so sorry I do not recall their names). The venue itself is absolutely stunning. Congrats Matthew and Lisa ! Breathtaking wedding venue !!! This was a magical day filled with beautiful rustic views and simple, classy décor. I felt like I was in another country due to it's intimate location and setting. The whole property felt peaceful and tranquil. Every detail from the botanical gardens to the barn where they married and exchanged vows were incredible ! It was just perfect ! The mix of cultures from Matt's Mexican side and Lisa's Chinese side was such a memorable site to see. They had Chinese dragon dancing and traditional Mexican music and line dancing for entertainment. Both cultures collided to bring a beautiful experience for everyone to see and enjoy. The indoor/outdoor set-up of the wedding was wonderfully organized. Dinner was outdoors where we enjoyed the amazing buffet style cuisine. I was fortunate to have a special made vegan dish compliments of the bride, groom, and chef ! It was the best stuffed red bell pepper dish I've ever had in my life. No joke ! Trademark Venues was the best company to work with when it came to planning and carrying out our dream wedding. We got married at Ethereal on August 24th and had the best day ever! Our coordinator/planner Amy was there for us every step of the way in the months leading up to the big day. She is super sweet, very approachable, frequently communicated with us and responded to all of our emails and questions in a timely manner. She was very organized and detail-oriented. We had so much fun picking decor, designs, and food for the big day with their client privilege program and food tasting event. Amy made sure to be in communication with our vendors prior to and during our wedding which was extremely helpful. Everything about Ethereal is stunning. Flowers and greenery everywhere, and the Bridal and Gentleman's bath houses where you hang out with the wedding party is stunning for getting ready photos. All of our guests commented on how this was one of the most stunning venues they have ever been to. On the day of the wedding, EVERYTHING went smoothly because of Amy and the amazing Trademark team, and even if something didn't go according to plan I probably have absolutely no idea because Amy took care of everything. Everyone working at the venue that day brought my wedding vision to life and truly made that day about me and my husband. Everyone constantly checked in on us and our wedding party, offered us water and drinks, made sure we were on schedule, and reminded us to just have fun and soak in every moment. Ethereal gardens is a gorgeous venue and my wedding was stunning. That said, there are several things that Ethereal Gardens/Trademark Venues needs to improve on. 1- The contract includes additional costs (service fees, bar, additional guests, decor, etc). It becomes overwhelming and confusing to understand exactly how much your final cost will be. This needs to be better organized. 2- The invoice is the only location where you can see your cost breakdown, and they do not date any changes to the invoice. So one day your total cost is X, the next day it's Y, and you have no idea what was added to the invoice. There is no record of changes. This is not a best practice for running a business and it caused us extra stress. 3- The contract states that you cannot have a coordinator or a wedding planner because Trademark IS the wedding planner. This was frustrating because I did everything that a wedding planner should have done (creating the floor plan and seating chart, coordinating meetings, timeline, selecting/communicating with vendors...). It would have been nice to be able to have a planner to do those things like we were promised. 4- My planner tried to start my ceremony almost 20 minutes early! Even though most of my family wasn't there yet! Luckily I said no and it went on as planned but starting early shouldn't have even been suggested. Again- this just adds stress to an already stressful day! 5- The security guards were VERY rude to guests who showed up late. A security guard also snapped his fingers at one of my guests to tell them to leave when he was just waiting for his girlfriend to get out of the bathroom. 6- The venue set up my guest book upside down so the signatures are at the back of the book, the welcome table was messy, and my gorgeous seating chart was set against an ugly brown wall so all photos of it are ruined. It's disappointing that there was no attention to detail for this part of the wedding when I spent a lot of time and money on these details. 7- Two full rows at the front during the ceremony were empty because people didn't know they could sit there. This ruined certain photos because it's very empty looking. Why did the coordinator not ask people to move up? Were none of the staff members paying attention to this very important detail? 8- Getting-ready rooms are available at 11:30am (bride) and 2:30pm (groom) regardless of when your wedding starts. The venue does not accommodate based on your specific wedding timeline- unless you pay $1500 which only gets you an extra hour in the rooms. Wish we would have known that up front. It caused more stress and confusion and we had to get ready in an ugly hotel room instead of the venue we paid for. 9- The staff started taking tables apart as our wedding was still going on! This led to one of our guests losing a jacket that was on the back of a chair someone took away. It also felt like we were being rushed out. I really didn't appreciate that being the ending of our special day. Summary: I give 4 stars because my wedding was beautiful, food was great, venue was gorgeous, and I genuinely loved my day. However Ethereal Garden's processes are messy and very greedy/money focused, and some their staff is rude and made guests uncomfortable. I hope someone from the venue sees this and makes necessary improvements for future couples getting married. read more

I scoured all of Southern California for the perfect wedding venue that would fit my vision of whimsical, fairy tale, garden party and when I toured Ethereal Gardens, it stole my heart. I'm so glad that I chose to have my wedding here because it was truly the best day ever! Amy was my coordinator and was so organized and responsive to our extensive list of questions we sent her way throughout the whole planning process. Ethereal Garden is an all inclusive type of venue, so you get food, décor, table/chairs, venue coordinator/day of coordinator, and so much more. I didn't have to stress about finding/booking all the little things, and I really valued that. You also get a bridal assistant on the day of! I felt very taken care of. I didn't have to worry about a single thing because Amy and the Ethereal Gardens team did such an amazing job coordinating and making sure that the whole day went perfectly. Our friends and family had such an amazing time with multiple compliments saying that it was "the best wedding" that they've ever been to. Ethereal Gardens is a beautiful venue with everything you could ever want! From the lush gardens to the updated facilities. Everything is top notch! But the REAL magic is the staff. Amy is an incredible coordinator. As a bride I had so many things coming my way. I felt so much anxiety to have my big day. But all of that went away once Amy took over. She was like a fairy godmother to my fiancé and I. Anything question we had, there was a rapid response. Any concern we had, she found a solution. She is truly what makes trademark special. This was by far one of the most breath taking weddings I have ever been to. We were all extremely lucky because the day before the wedding, it was raining pretty hard. The next day, May 3rd, the weather was sunny and so beautiful! The bride and groom decided on a very rustic, simple, but so very beautiful wedding (I continuously say "beautiful" but I am actually in a lost for words). The theme fit the bride and groom very well, and being a guest here made me want to have my wedding very similar to this, and at this exact location! My boyfriend and his friends were the groomsmen, and helped with the decor. The venue was already so beautiful and very intimate, then just adding my boyfriend and his friends' decorations/ signs/ games just made the whole ceremony come together so beautifully (Original Greek located in Walnut, CA). One of my favorite parts of this wedding was the men's washroom. There were games inside the lounge room and their restroom is ridiculous! I hadn't seen the bride's washroom but I'm sure it was probably more mind-blowing than the mens! The servers walked around with delicious hors d'oeuvres while everyone played games and took photos. As dinner came, the employees brought out plates and bowls of mashed potatoes, salad, and steak that we could all dig in from. There was a bar open throughout the ceremony and only $6 for a sangria?! Recently attended a wedding here, and the venue is absolutely beautiful. The wedding coordinator was very nice and helpful. The only issues were, we were told the dinner and reception tent had heaters, but they only had two that I could see, and there were a few openings so it was freezing which led to a lot of guests leaving early. The other issue was that the bride and groom paid a lot of money for the flowers they bought for the wedding, and never have permission for the staff to take the flowers as they were planning on donating them to a local cemetery. They noticed some of the staff walking away with flowers and told them they needed them back, instead of the staff understanding, the proceeded to argue with the bride and groom, this should never have happened and I hope the staff is disciplined for their actions. read more
