I was sure it was my sprinkler valve, but had an issue changing the valve: The pipes were too tight! I texted Don and got my hacksaw, but luckily he texted right back. He was able to squeeze in a quick visit before the weekend, and found that the water regulator for the entire house was making the pipes shake. My sprinkler valve was just fine. That regulator had given out after 30 years. With that replaced, all problems were solved. He even arranged for a quick stop in on SUNDAY MORNING to make sure we were set. I've happily referred a couple of my neighbors to Don. He's a true master of plumbing, and I wouldn't call anyone else.

Flatirons quoted us $1300. I paid less than $50 for a new flange, pvc pieces, some putty, etc. and installed it in less than an hour. I don't know how they can justify their pricing. They were prompt and professional, but do yourself a favor and line up a couple different quotes because this one was offensive.

I later got an email with a recommendation for a cleaning at $1400 and a bill for $154 for scoping the line. I already have an appointment to have the line scoped after the cleaning tomorrow by the original company who scoped it. Never asked for a scope, asked for a cleaning. I've attached the communication that they could do the cleaning while in site. Really challenging when the technician said no cleaning necessary, no repairs necessary and then sends an estimate for recommended cleaning and repair. Moving on to the next company who can maybe do the work we hire for and not waste hours of our time and now days.

James also helped me get my Water Heater (that a different company installed, that was no up-to-code) up to code, per the retroactive Home Inspection, and James helped me install a mainline water shutoff. My house is finally in ship-shape - on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC - all thanks to Kyle, the owner of Hyper Flow. Highly recommend! FYI, they've also jetted my lateral sewage line pipes - twice - and I will be hiring them for the excavation of the line that connects to my HOA main sewage line, before it connects to the City of Denver, once that time comes. My house is a mix of eras, from original construction in 1950 to an addition from 1979 to remodels of much plumbing oriented rooms, kitchen and 2 baths and laundry room in the early 2000s. Factor in a rather unique yard irrigation system from 2009 that hooked into the old plumbing, many systems have had problems. Mark was recommended by the contractor who did much of the upgraded rooms, the baths in particular. As parts have worn, he has been ready and able to get us out of many a bind. He has never been intimidated by my low dirt crawlspace. In the past, I had a plumber look at it from the entrance door and simply refuse to go in to fix the pipe involved in the problem. Mark, like my electrician and most but not all of the irrigation techs who have looked, went in and took care of business. It is not wet, it does not smell, there are no large animals, just a few spiders. If you are a workman in this field, it should not be scary. Mark's work inside the house has always been efficiently completed, neatly cleaned up and he has gotten it right the first time, every time. He always returns calls when I have a problem. He has been a solo plumber on our household jobs. He has an answering machine for requests but does have a cell for emergencies. He is not available weekends though, so for a really desperate emergency we once had on a Sunday, I did have to call one of the overpriced rescue companies in town, but just once in the 15 years he has worked on this house.
