My husband and I were visiting Colorado for our honeymoon, and we came to E-Town THREE TIMES during our week here. Needless to say, we quite liked our experience at this restaurant. Our first visit was decent- we stopped in for drinks on a Sunday evening simply because nowhere else seemed to be open. We were not disappointed! The drinks were good. The atmosphere was chill. We sat out on the patio and loved that it was so dog friendly- we made a couple furry friends! On our second visit (Thursday evening), we came in for happy hour drinks and stayed for dinner. We each ordered salad- the steak salad is definitely the way to go! We also ordered "well drinks" and the Irish nachos off the happy hour menu. The atmosphere was, as expected, slightly busier than Sunday evening, but we didn't mind a bit and we were again able to enjoy the patio seating. The food, drinks, and service were all superb. So much so, in fact, that we came back to back and stopped by again this evening (Friday). Tonight was probably our favorite experience of the three- we again came at happy hour (seriously- such great deals!) and were able to order our entire meal from the happy hour menu, which left our wallets quite happy indeed. The patio was again our choice for seating, and we enjoyed the upbeat and busy atmosphere that came with the live music. Perfect for a Friday night! We will be letting all of our Colorado-visiting friends and family know about E-Town, and we will plan to return next time we are near Edwards! read more

Service was great and so was the food. Went with the kids, 6&8 yr olds.... and they were more than accommodating. Garlic shrimp appetizer and the dessert doughnuts were the highlights of our meal. I had the steak salad and it was good but could of used a little more steak. Wife had the salmon and it was good as well.. the vegetables that came with the salmon were the better half of the meal though. You would think a sports bar would somewhat cater to sports fans who call ahead of time to find out if the sound is going to be in for a game...not just any college game, but The Rose Bowl game. Since they said yes, we came here and were told when the game started, the manager said it MIGHt bother the other customers IN A SPORTS BAR if the game was broadcast. The rudeness of the bar and management staff was unbelievable. NOTHING is playing in the background other than the replay of a random high school football game and they felt it would disturb the other patrons to have the audio broadcasting sports....in a sports bar. We were given our check! Maybe this mediocre bar in a tourist area doesn't want visitors to patronize its establishment. Message received - loud and clear .... unlike the audio for the game. Prior to my last visit, I would have given E-Town at least four stars. Having been there multiple times and had very decent experiences. However, my experience on 7/2 wasn't the greatest or what I've come to expect from this establishment. When we walked in, it wasn't terribly crowded and we were seated. It took a little bit for our drink orders, but I thought nothing of it. Then it took a little bit for our dinner orders, and I didn't think much of that either, or the delay in receiving our dinners. Or the fact that we saw two different servers during that time. After our food was received, we did not have any service for 45 minutes aside from someone grabbing our dirty plates and taking them away. We sat at an empty table with no one offering drink refills or asking if we wanted dessert (which we did) or bringing a check. Finally, once we asked a couple of people if we could place an order/get our check and were told that they would 'find our server' (who seemingly didn't exist) we managed to get desert and subsequently a bill from an entirely new person. By this point the restaurant was busy and we had watched tables next to us come and go upwards of three times. We spent a total of two hours on what was supposed to be a quick dinner stop, and most of that was waiting with the table empty before us. No apologies or discounts even though the ridiculous amount of waiting was mentioned. I'll likely still go back at some point, but it was certainly not my best experience there. P.S. If you're a fan of vegetarian food: E-Town has a great veggie burger and their sweet potato fries are delicious. Order their donuts (made there!) for dessert and it's heaven. read more

After waiting 45+ minutes for an appetizer to arrive and 75+ minutes for our dinners, our entrees arrived to our table cold. We wanted to give the staff the benefit of the doubt (as it was a busy evening during one of the busiest weeks of the year); however, after requesting that our entrees be reheated to an appropriate temperature, the manager of the restaurant proceeded to tell us that we displayed an unnecessary "attitude." In what can only be described as a disaster, the managerial staff convinced a group of loyal, repeat customers of 5+ years never to return to this restaurant. TL;DR -- we wanted to go back to one of our favorite restaurants in the Valley, but were disappointed not just by the poor quality of food, but more importantly the disrespect the managerial staff displayed towards its customers (visited evening of 12/30/15). read more

The food is always cold and extremely overpriced. 10$ for sugary mixes and weak cocktails. We ordered a beer befire dinner and after asking twice it came at the same time as the check and we were still charged. I've come here many times as it's close to home and easy. One of the dirtiest patios I've ever seen. We sat outside for lunch on the patio with our dog and my dog was eating lemon seeds, lettuce, dried smushed tomato, etc.. The concrete was stained and filthy. We asked the waitress for a water bowl for the dog; she came back with a dog bowl with water and placed it on the ground. The bowl was filthy inside. I asked to speak to the manager who came out and had every excuse in the book: they sweep, but the wind blows it all the food and filth back, they can't wash the patio because they would have to close the restaurant down to do it?!?!?. I asked if they served breakfast and when she said, no, I suggested that they wash it down in the morning before they opened, but she said it would just cost way too much to pay for that service. Wow! We all agreed that she gave the wrong answers to every question. She did agree take the dog bowl was dirty and took it in and washed it. I also didn't enjoy looking at whatever sauce was dripping down the wall under the TV hung on the wall - it was red. Food was fine but I don't think I could ever sit outside again on the food stained, filthy patio. Are there no codes about cleanliness in the patio area? read more

What a horrible experience! Extremely unprofessional management was displayed. There are far better and more pleasant places to go even within walking distance. Try Woody's or Gore Range Brewery in Edwards, but highly recommend you steer away from this place at ALL costs. read more

Love Etown. There's a great bar scene and kid friendly too. I love to take my kids or go by myself. It is amazing that they do both. The food is delicious - best ribs ever and quality tuna. The service is friendly and perfectly timed. It is a favorite with locals and our favorite when we visit the Vail/Beaver Creek area. They have a kazillion tvs and great bar food for watching games of any sort. I'm not even a sports fan and like to go for the lobster tacos and asian lettuce wraps. read more

This is a great place to spend the entire afternoon having lunch....While the food is pretty good, they still haven't figured out the whole service thing after all these years. The kitchen seems to get quickly overwhelmed for the amount of seating space that they offer, translating into elongated lunch outings. One has to constantly ask to have waters, etc refilled, even if you have an alcoholic drink you have to flag down your server to get another. This review doesn't come from a single visit, it's been the pattern having visited the restaurant several times. Etown is a fun local hangout that gets mobbed by tourists in the winter! Sweet outdoor tv with a fire pit! Great for sports night, dinner with the fam or a quick bite for two! This could be my favorite burger in the Vally. read more

A laid-back, welcoming place. My companions' food (beautifully fried fish and chips, tasty blackened chicken sandwich, good burger w/ bacon and onion rings) was better than mine (sesame ahi tuna was flavorless and under-seared). Delicious and moist carrot cake was a great share for dessert. Overpriced, but no more so than everything else in the Vail Valley. Good choice for family dinner or bar / patio. read more

Great stop after a day of skiing. We had a party of 9, and we all gathered comfortably in one of their big booths with a great view of the Olympics on the TV overhead. There was something for everyone, and it was all good...appetizers, pizzas, salads and sandwiches. We are wing lovers, and these didn't disappoint. The BBQ chicken pizza was standout. Never again. Had a sandwich that was ridiculously small and when I asked the waitress about it she said "what do you want me to do about it". When I told her don't worry about it, the owner/manager then came and explained that it is "pre portioned" and asked to make me another."I told him don't worry about it." We stopped here to try and beat the high prices of Avon and Vail. We cruised in from a day of fishing and luckily it was happy hour and a Monday night. Monday night is Rib Night with a full rack plus mac and cheese and sweet potato fries for $16.95. What a deal. And they were juicy baby backs. And the Happy Hour fare was very inexpensive and delicious. Blackened Salmon Ceasar, Chile Lime Wings, some Irish Nachos, and sliders hit our table. My kids loved the wings and we had 3 orders. Service (Erica) was friendly and efficient and I liked the vibe of the place. Pretty quiet on a Monday afternoon but we did not mind. We will try E-Town again for their Burger Night too. The Riverwalk is a neat spot as well. Very happy to have found this spot. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE: FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. The restaurant advertises burgers special for $7.95 on their website and put a picture of a high pile loaded custom burger. When you try to order, they will tell you that only a simple cheese burger what they will give you for this price. When you show them the picture of their website, they explain that they know that their website has the "wrong picture", but it is too hard for them to change the picture. Then they become rude and tell you that you can leave if you don't like them, The entire restaurant is a nothing special atmosphere with the rudest servers and manager. In November Etown hosted a fundraiser for a local family. They offered 10% of the night's proceeds to them. Their baby son just received a bone marrow transplant. We brought in at least 75 people to this restaurant for dinner. Friends and family made it a priority to support this family and spend money at Etown that night. The event was November 16th. It is now February and this family has not received a single dime from Etown. The restaurant was packed. Standing room only. There were only probably four other customers there not associated with the "fundraiser". I am mortified for the owners and employees of Etown. I will never, ever, ever go back. read more

The food is OK, but not worth the prices, and the wait staff is consistently awful. We are in Vail Valley for one week and try a different restaurant for lunch and dinner. Last night, we ate at E-Town and have decided to break our pattern and go back again. Our food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and upscale, and the place was spotless. There were so many dishes served to nearby tables that we wanted to try. Price-wise, E-Town was one of the least expensive meals, but I rate the restaurant as the nicest dining experience. It was a great value. read more

My family (3 kids) and I have been coming here since it opened in 2008(ish). It has always had great food, great prices, great atmosphere, and a great staff. Other mountain eateries act like you should be lucky to eat there and treat you as such, even the dives- service sucks in the mountains. Not at Etown. As a former waitress I always watch for quality of service-Etown has it. Fast, courteous, and friendly. The atmosphere is like you are at home or a friends house. The owner has frequently stopped at our table to see how things are going or just to chat-lets you know he is truly invested in his customers. read more

Etown is so fun. Really great to get away from the resort areas and hit up a local hot spot when we were there skiing. The setup is really nice with circular booths to watch the games on t.v. The food is great and prices are really reasonable too. Asian salad wraps, burgers and sandwiches are great as well. Just a chill place to grab a bite, watch a game, and hang out. Just ate at E-Town. Poor service, my wife ordered grilled chicken on her salad The "grilled" chicken comes breaded. When asked for the chicken to be grilled the waitress disappeared for much longer than normal. By time she returned with grilled chicken I was finished. As we left we asked to speak to a manager. The manager was less than customer service oriented. He could not understand that generally "grilled" chicken does not come breaded and that the waitress should have let us know that. In addition the service was slow and lax. The manager wanted us to tell him exactly how many minutes it took once we re-ordered. When we told him he disputed our response. The manger compounded problems, did nothing for our inconvenience and was rude. I do not have to have poor servie for fair bar food. read more

Out of all the restaurants in the Valley E-Town definitely made a lasting impression! The atmosphere is great. It's comfortable, the food is incredible and the prices you couldnt beat. Called ahead to ask if there was a wait for a party of 5 and if they accepted call aheads, the hostess said it would be a 25 minute wait and that we could put our name on the list. We called at 7:05pm and arrived at 7:20. When we arrived, the hostess apathetically asked how we were doing and when I returned the question and she just stared at me...awkward. She didn't give us a wait quote update upon our arrival and we ended up waiting for a while. I watched her interactions with other guests and I noticed she never smiled (maybe she was having a bad day?). We were seated at 7:51pm. She finally approached us and told us she had a table ready, promptly took us to the table, dropped the menus and walked away. No dialogue or introduction as to who our server would be. When our server arrived, she didn't introduce herself or mention any specials (advertised in the menu). Overall, she met our bare necessities but never really engaged us in conversation. Appetizer (chiecken lettuce wraps) were delicious but took over 15 minutes to come out. Our entrees were good but didn't reflect the prices charged (ahi tuna sandwich- very small portion for tuna, salmon entree, mahi mahi tacos). Overall, I would not recommend this place. I'm wondering if there was discord between American standards and the Eastern European staff, but I may be biased considering I am in the service industry myself. Long story short: food was ok but not worth the price. Service was sub-par. read more

had high hopes after seeing 4 out of 5 stars on YELP, but don't be fooled. Make sure you check the "not recommended reviews" at the bottom of YELP page. Food was decent, my friend had the lettuce wraps which she said was good, i had the chopped salad which was fine, but prior to all that we had the chips and queso with chorizo for $11. The queso ratio to chip ratio was 20% queso to 80% chips and chorizo was only sprinkled with a few nuggets. We asked the waitress for a tad more queso to go with all the chips with had leftover but she said it would be $2 xtra. I thot that was too much since we'd already paid $11, so we changed our request to salsa, thinking that would be easier on the kitchen. She came back saying the manager said that would also be $2. When I asked to speak to the manager after getting our check and letting him know we'd have spent another $40 on additional wine which would've negated the queso/salsa cost he got argumentative in front of us and other customers and was basically an a-hole telling us that he doesn't give away free food, but he mentioned if it were a busier time of year when he wasn't pinching his food cost he might have. Really? You can't make a couple locals happy with a tiny cup of salsa that probably cost the kitchen 10 cents? We won't be back now bc of this. I've lived in the valley for four years and the one thing that it's lacking in terms of restaurants is moderately priced cuisine that is CONSISTENTLY good, but that is exactly what e-town has to offer. I've never had anything sub par. The Philly is my go to but I'm also pretty obsessed with the tuna entree, the queso appetizer and the donuts (when I'm feeling saucy). I prefer to sit at the bar but whenever I've sat at a table the service has been friendly and attentive. The bartenders there are great and clearly have a longstanding rapport with the locals. I also really appreciate the variety of events that they host and the occassional big-city DJ nights on Fridays to help shake off a long work week. This place is tops! Oh wait, stop everything! I forgot to mention the bloody Mary bar and breakfast on weekends during football season! Great food, better drinks and a fun sporty community vibe that's a pleasure to be a part of. read more
