Acosta & Sons is our new go-to company for septic! We are currently in escrow and needed a septic…read moreinspection done. We originally reached out to Gopher (Gopher and Acosta are known as the top 2 companies in the area), but Gopher's customer service was awful... they couldn't answer any of our questions and were not friendly at all. Then we called Acosta & Sons - Marisol answered right away and she was beyond helpful/knowledgeable. She helped us find out more about our septic system (which no one knew existed for 20+ years) and explained everything to us in detail. We had our inspection today (led by Bernie) - Bernie was so helpful communicating with me and the listing agent to address any digging concerns, and he also answered all of our questions throughout the inspection. If you want septic services by a company that cares about its customers and won't treat you like a number, I highly recommend choosing Acosta & Sons.

I cannot recommend this company enough! Bernie and his crew are awesome!…read more I had previously hired a rooter company that tried to rip me off. Thank God, i felt they were shady so i sent them away. Bernie came out and said the work the other company tired to do was not needed. He fixed the issue in 1 day and all is working great. They are honest and hard working. Their prices are great too. I am so happy i found this company on Yelp and i will never use anyone else. Thank you to Bernie, Myra and their crew. I am so relieved my septic system is ok and working great now.

This company showed up the same day (the toilet/bathtub kept backing up) and told us what the issues were. It was an unexpected major expense, but the septic tanks (2 not 1) needed to be pumped as they hadn't been pumped in decades. At first, my dad and I were skeptical and thought it was a simple drain issue, but after they located and dug up the two septic tanks, we discovered that they were indeed full. The guys did also check the drain pipes (my dad insisted) but they were clear except the one drain pipe coming from the bathroom, which was corroded and had collapsed. We are grateful that this company was honest. Alex knew what he was doing and did not do anything that was unnecessary.

Called and texted them with no result. No communication, rude, unprofessional. Nary Lopez hung up the phone on us. But they are very quick to collect payment and will contact you immediately if they know the new job with potential payment is coming. All we wanted was a report or estimate as a part of the real estate transaction to provide to Escrow. Trivial request that should take 10 min tops. Lazy and money hungry, no respect for client. Not sure how they stay afloat .

The next day I was waiting and waiting and finally at 5pm the owner texted me and said he was going to be late. Since it was Friday night and every other septic pumping company were closed I had to wait for him. 8pm came around and the owner texted me and asked if he could pump tomorrow, so I asked him what time? I never received another text. I had to call another pumping company (Kurt Bohmer's plumbing) and get an emergency pump which cost me an extra $100! Moral of the story is that "All American Septic Service" are flakes and if you want the best deal on a septic pump call " Kurt Bohmer's " $275 for a regular pump and $375 for an emergency. My pain is your gain.

I'm sitting here currently at 2pm with A & B Malibu Plumbing, who I called today after messaging AASS 10+ times trying to figure out when the hell they would get here. Use A and B, don't bother with these guys. They don't respond to messages, texts, voicemails. They clearly don't give a shit about their job or their customers. Seriously pathetic. The review at the bottom is an obviously fake one. It's infuriating how little of a crap these guys give. It sucks that you can't give zero stars, because that's what this place deserves.

While he disagreed with my assessment, and was combative...my perspective didn't change... It only worsened in terms of the company... I'm the paying customer, and the experience didn't meet expectations... I deal with a lot of vendors across the state for my facilities so I know the difference between acceptable and unacceptable. My biggest issue was the lack of cleanup and how quickly the crew seemed ready to leave. My entire back patio was left covered in mud and debris. The mess extended to my pool (which required a separate cleaning), the side corridors, walkways, my new doors, and even my barbecue area... It was pretty nasty... The new barbecue just got put in so the white stucco is going to need to be repainted. The street in front of my home.. including both neighboring properties...was left with significant sludge and sentiment buildup. I ended up having to apologize to my neighbors and personally pressure wash the area myself. To be fair, I was told the pool might get dirty, but this was far beyond what I expected. They also backed up and blocked my pool overflow system, which had been working fine prior, and didn't address it before leaving. From my perspective, the crew seemed more focused on moving quickly toward cutting concrete and scheduling additional work rather than fully resolving the issue at hand... They were eager to get the initial job going which is fine, and said there are three guys ready to work, but unfortunately one guy probably should have been out on disability with what seemed like a broken arm. No disrespect, they all seemed nice from a personality standpoint... But when you're being billed per hour, you expect three healthy workers. I've had similar work done at my other properties, and this experience felt rushed and not up to a professional standard. What didn't sit well with me was the owner's lack of receptiveness to respectful, direct feedback... especially from another business owner. In summary: The issue was not resolved (roots were visible on camera but not cleared).. out 1300 bucks.. did you get a second opinion and a trenchless option with more appropriate tools was presented and being executed on. There appeared to be a push toward more invasive and costly work... And they couldn't really confirm where the actual blockage was. It was more of a guessing game. Cleanup was far below expectations I was left to handle the aftermath, including cleaning and neighbor impact This may not be everyone's experience, but it was mine. I'll let others decide accordingly.
