I've used them a couple of times now to go Cancun airport to PDC. They are a very good price and very dependable. The guys at the airport are particularly helpful. It's a bit crazy of a scene with all the various taxis vying for your service, but they make it simple. I prepay, so they have my name, they're on the radio and within 10 minutes we are on our way to Playa. Today, my adult son and I arrived are different terminals from different cities and it took a little while to figure out. Next thing you know, texts are flying between the eTransfer guys and my driver picks me up at terminal 4 and we go to terminal 3. There's a quick text and an eTransfer guy escorts my son to our car. They made a somewhat confusing situation simple and got us to our hotel. I'm always going to go with them. read more

We waited almost an hour at the Cancun airport for etransfers to pick us up. I had received a confirmation email giving instructions on where to meet the driver that would be waiting for us. When we landed, I received text messages via WhatsApp from two different numbers confirming that we landed. Yet nobody was there to pick us up. I called, no answers. They kept texting me that the driver would be right there. About 45 min later is when we got picked up. Upon departure, the rep didn't want to give me a pickup time of 1p as I requested. They were demanding 11:30am, or cancel the reservation. Finally a kind woman by the name of Pamela got on the chat and changed the reservation. I had a very disappointing experience with this company. My husband and I booked a transfer with them in advance of our arrival in Cancún, expecting a smooth and reliable service. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there was no sign of anyone from the company. We did see a similarly named "E Transfers Taxi," but they informed us they were not affiliated. We tried calling all the phone numbers provided in our confirmation, but none of them worked or were answered. After multiple failed attempts to reach anyone, we were left stranded and had to make alternative arrangements. Due to the lack of communication and failure to provide the service we paid for, we contacted our credit card company to dispute the charge. This company is a fraud! Do not book! I booked because I was scared I could not find a reasonable accommodation to get to and back from the airport. They were about 20 min late to pick me up and had no one waiting for me and then said there was an accident. I reserved the private premium transfer round trip. On the way from the airport I had a suburban car but it was old and not taken care of. On the way back they sent a small Mitsubishi suv which wasn't taken care of. I did not blame the driver because he was assigned but he proceed to yell at me because I took a picture of the accommodation. And threw my suitcase out the car so I unloaded my own suit cases. He also showed up late picking us up after they send messages to be on time. I called the booking WhatsApp several time no answer. They don't respond and scam you. You can take an uber or taxi through the Uber app at a fraction of the cost. The customer service is garbage and dishonest. On the website booking private premium doesn't mean anything. read more

I pre-booked with this company and I wish I didn't pay because I ended up waiting a long time for the driver didn't show up. I had to call the main number but driver wasn't responding through WhatsApp. I ended up calling the main number where they just had me wait at one of the number parking for a long time no point where I had to go to their counter and have them find somebody give me a ride which I ended up riding with another customer when it's supposed to be a private transfer. They were 37 minutes late, so i ended up getting an uber from resort back to airport because again, they response on whatsapp was extremely slowly. They would text me back with almost no updated every 9 minutes. When i asked why are you so slow to respond the employee said "im only one person working".... I booked a round trip service from the Cancun airport to my resort for this past September. When I arrived in Cancun I was told that no van would be available for up to several hours. That was unacceptable, so I paid for a cab to take me. I later called them and they apologized and agreed to refund my money. In the 10 weeks since then and despite numerous phone calls to them and their promises to post a refund to my credit card, nothing has been done. I guess they're hoping I give up so they can keep my money. I'm angry enough so that won't happen. Upon arrival & after about 11 hours of traveling, the representative said it would be 20 minutes or so for our shuttle to arrive. We waited and waited and waited. They kept saying 20-30 minutes. Very bad experience on landing in Cancun. Customer service was terrible. We had made the booking 2 weeks ahead of time, made the full payment, shared the GPS location and address of the hotel which clearly said Playa Del Carmen. Being asked to pay an additional $50 once your agent met us was not expected. If there was an issue with distance, we should have been informed when we provided the address, not at the time of pick up. Your agent Ivan Angel was disrespectful, gave us conflicting information several times & insisted on cash payment in USD for the balance amount, even after we agreed to pay it and refused to accept credit card even though his colleague said card payment was ok. This service is way, overpriced, along with all the other taxi vendors who are fighting over tourists. I'd highly suggest that you have airport shuttle service to and from your hotel pre-booked your arrival, so that you don't get overcharged or taking advantage of. It's very clear that there is no oversight or government restrictions, of this supposedly official transportation service. Because we was quoted prices for round trip fares to and from our hotel twice what I'd pay in like NYC, Chicago, New Orleans, etc. But after haggling with many of the vendors, we ended up paying half the price that we were initially quoted. This is not how I like to start off my vacation...feeling like I'm getting ripped off within 15 minutes of arriving into Cancun. The driver was pretty friendly even though he couldn't speak hardly any English. But atleast he got us safely to our hotel without any accidents...which is saying alot considering how the locals drive. I booked and paid a premium price for a Suburban or like luxury SUV that seats 5 people (exactly as the eTransfers website says with a picture of a Suburban). For those who have been to Cancun, the luxury SUV is either a Suburban or Ford Expedition. What showed up was a Nissan X-Trail that at most could squeeze in 4 passengers. I contacted the service and they told me that it was the vehicle I'd receive and to board or to lose my ride. When I requested at minimum a partial refund, I was told that there was no recourse and no refund would be issued. We had used eTransfer private vans several times in the past without issue. This time around, I was scammed by eTransfers. I do not recommend, and will not use in the future. Car is nice and clean but... They say their values on line is integrity, honesty, transparency but when we got to the airport they said it would cost $75 to go from the airport to the hotel in downtown. After a ton of back and forth in talking to them and a bunch of other taxi services, I went onto the website and saw that the cost on their website to go from the airport to my hotel was only $35... You can also literally book the ADO bus for $5 per person to get to the Cancun downtown terminal which takes 25 min and from there you can take a much much cheaper taxi from that terminal to your hotel in Cancun. Make sure that when you get to the airport or before you do, book your car/bus trip or they will hustle you. All of the taxi services there do it and they band together, but I took this service so I am reviewing it. read more

just the worst. We waited 2 hrs in the airport to get to our destination and they kept saying "2 more minutes". Then when we left the hotel, they asked for the ID of the person that booked the shuttle, which we did not have because we booked multiple shuttles for the group - and the shuttle as already Paid for. They can't seem to communicate with their headquarters so we stood around while they sorted things out. Lastly, i lost my airpods in the shuttle and they sat there for 4 days while i tracked them. they promised to call the driver of the van but they never did. my airpods are now in England. We booked round trip from CUN airport to the Hyatt in Riviera Maya - which is about a 35-40min drive. The team is extremely helpful when you land but we did have to wait 15min for a driver to show. We also got cold waters provided by the driver which was included. The experience back to the airport was flawless. Driver was early and the team also confirmed via email what time they would arrive to get us back to the airport the day before we were leaving. I love good communication. I would absolutely recommend if you are looking for reliable! We also felt compared to other services offered - the price was reasonable. Do your research people! Great experience overall! read more

Do not use eTransfers in Cancun or trust them with your credit card as they are disorganized and essentially fraudulent. My young children, wife, and I recently booked a ride a week in advance from Cancun airport to Playa del Carmen. Upon arrival, we proceeded to the agent as instructed only to learn they did not have our reservation. Despite repeated attempts to contact the company through the provided Whatsapp number, neither the agent nor I were able to contact the desk. After 15 minutes of being stranded in the heat with my two young children and wife, they still could not produce a taxi let alone confirmation of my prepayment and right to a taxi. They then said we would be treated as a walk on, with an additional delay of 15 minutes *if* they confirmed our payment, which they hadn't done yet. We opted for an alternative taxi service, costing us $120 USD as a direct consequence of eTransfers' failure to produce a taxi as promised. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and requested a full refund for the trip, I initially got an OK but got the run around later. Eventually their customer service stated that I was not eligible for a refund, citing that their staff did not deny me any service. We are out $80 even though they agree there was no taxi ride to Playa Del Carmen. I hope this review dissuades anyone from using them or trusting them with your credit card. I am writing this review as a content creator, so this is more of a review of how the eTransfers team operates as opposed to the service they provide as a transportation company. In a nutshell, I was swindled into joining the eTransfers affiliate program to recommend the brand to other travelers. Once I started generating sales from recommending eTransfers to my audience, the affiliate manager went completely silent on me. I had sent multiple emails over the course of 1 month, reached out to them on their website and on Instagram, and have been completely ignored on all channels. Needless to say, I have yet to receive a single dollar from them. This is a testament to their low integrity and untrustworthiness in terms of partnerships. Because of all of the good reviews, we decided to use eTransfers to go from Cancun to Tulum instead of booking a car. When we arrived, we were told there was a lot of traffic so we had to share a shuttle instead of having a private shuttle that we paid for. For the ride back to the airport, they were on time which was good. However, the driver decided to stop to use the bathroom and buy himself some food. I don't know why he couldn't have done that after he dropped us off because we were so close to the airport... Also, we paid for the most expensive private shuttle. I would not recommend doing that because there is absolutely no difference in what you get. Overall, I'd maybe consider renting a car, especially if you're driving all the way to Tulum because cabs in that area are SOOO expensive. read more

Overall, I was very pleased with the transfers and service especially considering it was for a group of six people. We needed two vans because of the amount of luggage/bikes we had for the Ironman race in Cozumel. I was VERY satisfied with the online chat service and responsiveness of the coordinators once actually in Mexico. We used WhatsApp to communicate and they answered a ton of questions and also helped me adjust our return pick up time very promptly. My only issue was that we had to wait almost an hour after arriving in Cancun before we loaded the vans, which was quite frustrating as we had to catch a specific-timed ferry in Playa del Carmen to get to Cozumel. The one driver was just standing in a group of other drivers from eTransfers soliciting business from other travelers. He initially told me it would be a15 minute wait due to traffic but then it became another 15 minutes and another.... I finally messaged the coordinators via WhatsApp and inquired about the delay. Within minutes, the driver came to get us and we left. I'm still not entirely sure what the issue was as everything was booked ahead of time. Well, overall, the transfer to and from the Cancun airport was successful and as promised. We were able to navigate through the chaos at the exit of the airport and found an employee holding an eTransfer sign like they described. The company communicated thoroughly and accurately and conducted all business professionally. The driver's were friendly and one utilized a translation app to assist in our conversation. Understand, if you're looking for upscale transportation, this is not it. Maybe I am mistaken and they do offer it and I just missed it, but this was in a mediocre white van with zero frills. The road to anywhere south of the hotel zone is jenky at best. And riddled with traffic depending on the time of day. I am giving 4 stars because the vehicles could have been nicer and we had to wait about 15 minutes for our van when arriving to Cancun. They were scheduled to arrive at 10:55am and at 11am when no one had arrived I used their What'sApp to chat with someone real time. We realized there was another property with a similar name that the van was posted at so the contact helped steer the van over to me without being too inconvenienced or set back time wise. We will never use this company anymore. No correct information was given on the night of heavy rain pouring. 1. We were ripped: We got quoted $58 over the phone and later we realized it only costs $45 or $30 between Airport and our hotel through its own company's first sent email and other company's quote. We have questioned this but with a lie said the 1st email just a confirmation of our reservation so that he needs to manually change price to raise the fee to "correct" it. 2. No one showed after half hour waited: We were instructed in the email days before arrival that "A representative will be waiting for you at our module, which you will find before the sliding doors inside the airport terminal. In case you don't find the module you can find our staff in the reception area near the Margarita Ville." It was raining hard night, we have to keep checking in and out on both places and standing under the Margarita Ville outside made us wet by the rain badly. 3. Giving wrong instruction by its booth: we eventually boldly walk out of the waiting area to seek for help, then saw its office like booth nearby. We went for asking help, the person told us to go "Number 12" station by bringing us to wrong place then irresponsibly left us right away. We were lost for almost another half hour to figure out what "Number 12" means. 4. Nothing there after found the right spot: we have to run back and forth under the rain at dark night between the stop and its "office" to clarify if that is the correct spot and convey no one there for us. The office carelessly demanded us to just waited there. We kept waiting for another almost one more hour and scared we will standing in this foreign country overnight. 5. Someone showed up but reject to helped us: we finally saw a shuttle with eTransfers logo. We approached the driver, the driver said he is not responsible to our issue and not able to help us even though we requested him to contact his company. 6. Finally someone showed up to help us but let others intercepted our priority: as a result, we were not able to left the airport for about 3 hours after landing, and with whole body totally soaked rain by getting fulfilled its promise of receiving us.
