We loved this spot. The food was so fresh and full of flavor. The service was quick and attentive and the decor was very true to the restaurant. It is a bit on the pricier side but well worth the quality

Unexpectedly found this restaurant after being in the area and reading these amazing reviews. The restaurant is tucked in a small strip shopping center and can be easily missed. Dined on a Thursday evening and place was busy, but not packed. First they provide some free apps. The menu is extensive with options and overall for the value you get your moneys worth! Service was great and food is fresh. I definitely would recommend this place for anyone who enjoys Israeli food!

Guys don't sleep on this place! Oh my... authentic Israeli food perfectly prepared... We've only ordered from here never sat down to dine... friendly family service! Their form of a "bread basket" was all these deliciously pickled mini dishes! So good... and their homemade lemonade with mint is a MUST!!! Absolutely delighted!!!! And fulfilled!

We were in Miami for a md appointment and looking for some where new to go. We decided to try Etzel and we were not disappointed. We were greeted with a bunch of little starters. They were all delicious. I had the falafel and it was the BEST I have ever had. The falafel was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I kept eating past full because I just couldn't get enough. The space is small and every table was taken. The parking is a little difficult, but that shouldn't deter you from going. Next time we are near there, we will definitely go back!

This Middle Eastern spot located in North Miami serves kosher Israeli food in a deli diner style restaurant. Complimentary Israeli salad is served upon seating. The casual cozy atmosphere is inviting for authentic cuisine. I had the Sabich $11.95 with brown egg, salad, hummus, tahini, samba, eggplant, scallions and pickle. It is high quality and delicious. Service is very friendly and efficient.

Family run restaurant with many local patrons. Service was very friendly and prompt. My husband and I ordered standard dishes and they were delicious, filling and affordable. I'd happily come back and try many of their other dishes. There is a 3% credit card charge for those using a card so if you want to save money, cash is king. They have shared parking in a small plaza where other shops are located. Street parking is also available, but might be hard to find during peak hours.

Family restaurant, great spot to share a quick affordable mean. It is also super casual and has a diner vibe. Needless to say, A great classic to keep on your list. Service is ok; what you would expect for a dinner, quick and friendly. The highlight for us were all the pickled goodies and small bites They bring out soon as you walk in the door. It was amazing. We have never been in a place that has done that! Definitely try the hummus, the chickpeas and rice plate were great, The lamb kebabs were juicy too. The only thing we were crazy about, were the falafel. It wasn't bad. It was just kind of bland,

When we walked in, I wasn't sure we were staying, it was busy and I didn't see any open tables. Luck for us the place was larger than it looked. Before we even looked at the menu they brought out all these small plates. For a moment I thought it was eating a Korean restaurant. There was pickled carrots, beets, cabbage, pasta salad, corn, chick peas and two kinds of coleslaw. They were all good except the the coleslaw, I don't like coleslaw. So you know I didn't eat it. I was pretty full after eating all the appizer plates, but I still managed to eat lunch. With a little help from our server to decide, I went for a chicken shawarma pita. It was so good! My favorite part of it was the pita bread. It was amazing! The fries were my least favorite thing. I only like fries when the just come out of the and are really hot. As far as the restaurant, I felt like I was in a different country. Everything was in Hebrew as well as in English. We plan to eat here again the next time we are in the area. Is one other thing, the parking sucks.

Etzel Itzik serves authentic Israeli food that truly hits the spot. I had the shakshuka for breakfast, and it was incredible--piping hot and perfectly spiced. Their limonana is hands down the best I've ever had--so refreshing and full of flavor. We also tried the Yemenite soup, which was rich and flavorful. Although it had a bit too much cumin for my taste, it was still very enjoyable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a taste of Israel!

Hole in the wall vibe with the BEST FOOD!! You can't go wrong dining in or taking out. I've done both & highly recommend. You will not walk away hungry because they have huge portions and what feels like a million sides. The sides include things like beets, carrots, salads & pasta. My go to here is a babaganoush and hummus (with tahini of course), falafel balls, and anything with cabbage. If you're there on Saturday, try the Cholent which is a hearty beef and bean stew. Also, try the mint lemonade for a refreshing twist with the crushed ice & mint leaves!

For this particular dinner, we were also focused on finding a truly vegetarian friendly restaurant where we could take our dear friends. Kabobji was a wonderful choice for vegetarians, omnivores, and carnivores alike. It's a large restaurant with plenty of booths and large tables for gathering with friends and family. Someone I suspect to be an owner was working hard alongside his wait staff and displayed a sense of genuine hospitality. Above all, the restaurant has a rock solid kitchen. The falafel ($13.99 / 5 pieces) here were ****STELLAR****!!! They're shaped like Indian medu vada (fried with a hole in the middle), probably for the same reason: to allow as much of the surface to fry to that perfect golden crisp as possible. And Kabobji's falafel were, in fact, awesomely crisp and well textured, made from soaked chickpeas in the traditional style, perfectly sized, nuanced and subtle in flavor -- some of the best we can remember having. (For reference, we love Nish Nush and Tanoreen for falafel in NYC -- and I think our neighborhood must be one of the major international epicenters for falafel.) Also excellent: the baba ghannouj ($10.99 for the small size), just a bit chunky, enriched with a lot of tahini, a moderate amount of garlic, a touch of lemon. This is how we like to make it at home. The vegetable ghallaba platter ($20.99) was simply made with thinly sliced onions and bell peppers, a small amount of zucchini, I think, and a touch of tomato. I would've loved to have had a spritz of lemon or sprinkle of sumac for a more acidic component, perhaps a little less onion. Note that this dish works better as a main course when accompanied by something protein-y like hummus, but it was pleasant to eat alongside our other orders. A convive, who went with the mixed shawarma platter ($27.99), found it to be a generous portion size and enjoyed it, especially with a side of well composed fattoush salad (+$5.99 to upgrade). Beef shish kebab ($14.99) and lamb shawarma ($15.99) wraps were both excellent and moist, a good balance of protein and vegetable. I didn't try them, but the "cheese pies" ($12.99) turned out to be pitas covered with a large amount of melty white cheese that some young children might enjoy as pizza. (Mine probably would've found them to be "too cheesy," but they're mutants.) They came three to an order. When you dine in, they bring a big basket of warm pita / pida to the table -- quite a generous touch!! I think it's house made and of course went beautifully with our food. Bottom line: GREAT FALAFEL! Great, low-key, family-friendly vibe. Good for vegetarians and non-vegs. Go.

Because we had a large group, we ordered two veggie mezzas for the table. They come with grape leaves, baba ghannouj, and hummus, which makes them perfect for sharing. And the unlimited pita bread is always a win. The salad, so refreshing. The Lebanese cheese rolls are also amazing. Some of us switched it up and tried the spicy fish, sautéed shrimp, and the mixed shawarma platter. No regrets. The fish was so flavorful and the perfect size. LollllpThe rest of us stuck to the kabobs and lamb, which are consistently a safe bet. The space is great too. The huge windows give you beautiful lighting, and they have seating for large parties that still feels more private. We'll definitely be back.

We usually get our usuals in this food court but we decided to get something different this time around and saw Yalla Motek. We love Mediterranean food so we thought this would be a great option. The service was super fast and the menu was easy to look through. We ended up getting two chicken shawarma pitas to go. The food didn't take too long to be ready. We took the food to eat at home and it was a good size portion. We also got a side of waffle fries with their sauce on the side that was said to be spicy. The food here was't my favorite Mediterranean food but I've never really had this style street food before. They DRENCHED the sauce on it and I actually wasn't too sure what it was made out of but it wasn't my favorite flavor. I didn't get to finish everything and I saved the other half of my pita for later. Since the sauce was covered all over it, it didn't save too well so I ended up not eating the rest. The waffle fries were spiced and good. I'm glad I got to try the white sauce on the side because it also wasn't my favorite but it was pretty good. My biggest note would be to maybe ask for the sauces on the side. I might still try to get something else from here next visit to the mall.

The manti were small beef dumplings served in a delicious tangy yogurt sauce with some sort of spicy oil on top. They were very filling. The chicken soup was rich, with chicken, carrots, celery and parsley. It had a nice lemon note as well. The entrees - the kabab and the guvec - were hearty and had good flavor. The guvec was really hot (temp wise) because of the clay pot. Kunefe rounded out the meal. Could have used a bit more nuts but otherwise great. Great little spot for dinner!

The restaurant is kosher. My husband and I shared a felafel platter. First off they bring a dish of pickled veggies to the table and a basket of fluffy pita -- even before you order. I really like the beet marinated turnips. Some of the "pickles" were a bit spicy for me but my husband liked them all. The felafel were wonderful. Perfectly cooked and still moist inside. You got to choose six salads from the "bar". We selected hummus, Israeli salad, babaganoush, beets, and a chunky eggplant. My favorites were the hummus and the eggplant. We were given extra pita as well. In addition, we got a side of beans and rice. The white beans were soft and flavorful as was the rice. My husband brought half home and had with his eggs the next day for breakfast (!). Our friends had a veggie platter and a salmon pita wrap. The veggie platter was their choices from the salad bar. The salmon was hot and freshly cooked and served as a sandwich with condiments added. I decided to go to the "Falafal" version of the "Achla" empire because it looked newer from the outside. Before I get into this review I'd like to say I risked my life for a falafal, by trying to cross Hallandale on foot. Y'all need some crosswalks my Miami people. But I was still light on my feet (pre-falafal) so was able to play live Frogger like a G. On to the food. I had a falafal sandwich. What's very nice is the owner literally scoops fresh falafal into balls and fries them up on the spot. The result is a moist falafal that's still lightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The falafal is a bit hard to eat and it's messy, from the huge dollop of tahina sauce that dresses the top of the sandwich. But I like saucy food so that's not a problem for me, plus I was impressed the pita held up all the way until the end of my meal. Wow. When I make this at home my pita turns into a soggy and ripped mess every. single. time. Inside the (very fresh) pita is falafal of course, Israeli salad, and hummus. What could have make this better? Something tangy or sour to to play against the other flavors. I would have enjoyed a pickle of some sort in there. This one falafal filled me up real good and I was starving. And for less than $8 that's a good deal these days. I have no doubt this food is authentic. The owner is Israeli and looks like he's been working with falafal since back in the day. And the restaurant itself is very new, clean, and nice looking. Why not check it out? Just look both ways before crossing the street, and never, never ever, try running across Hallandale with a stomach full of falafal. (I was between 4 and 5 stars and with a few more choices for toppings I think this would a slam dunk 5-star. But Yelp doesn't allow 4.5 stars and with room for improvement I can't give 5 stars.)

Julie caught wind of this and immediately swooped in. The menu is pricey but I assumed that the portions would make up for it. This assumption was correct, but my food's presentation was the equivalent to what you'd serve a dog. I ordered the egg salad club with a side of fries; if you're searching for an establishment that cooks with love just leave. The egg salad was unseasoned and I'm unsure that half-smashed boiled eggs constitutes as egg salad. The fries were piled on top as if a tired teenage McDonald's worker was cooking it up in the back. My partner also agreed that their tuna melt was unseasoned. As we were leaving we decided to take a peek at the baked goods. In a final attempt to give this place the benefit of the doubt, we eyed a delectable looking chocolate chip cookie. I called over the employee behind the bakery counter to which she begrudgingly trudged on over. I took another look at the display to solidify what I wanted, but I noticed something unappetizing. FLIES. Not one fly, multiple flies having their way with the baked goods. We told her never mind and left the establishment. Never again will I step foot in this atrocity.
