I have ordered from Fetta Republic multiple times on DoorDash, but had never stoped by the restaurant in person. Yesterday, I happened to be in the area and decide to stop by. When I arrived, there was only one other patron inside having lunch. I was immediately greeted, warmly I might add which I always appreciate. I knew exactly what I wanted and went for the Gyro platter. The food came out in lightening speed and was presented beautifully. Everything was absolutely delicious and the portion size as enormous. I ate about a third of it and packed the rest for dinner. I will definitely skip the DoorDash and come in person the next time I'm craving Fetta Republic! read more

We've eaten here a few times - mid afternoons and early evenings. Always been a great experience. We have been going to Fetta Republic for many years and usually we get either the Gyro platters or lamb chops Today I wanted to taste the chicken Gyro platter. I would never order it again. First of all it was over price for the little bit of chicken they put in. It was bite-size pieces for a child and the portion was for a child. It was extremely dry. I'm excited to have found this authentic greek restaurant. Since I'm always in the area and tend to visit the same places for lunch, I will definitely be back. Our server was attentive and the food was prepared quickly-- the location on Yelp needs to be updated as this is closer to the Winn-Dixie than Michaels/Homegoods as is shown on the address. There is lots of parking available (always a plus). The lemonade is refreshing and not overly-sweet. Appetizer "chips" are small pieces of lightly toasted bread. We tried the hummus and tzatziki, both were delicious. The lentil soup is the perfect texture, not watery but also not super chunky. Flavorful and the portion is just right. The falafel wrap was filling, however it was missing some flavor imo but would order again. Don't forget dessert! The Baklava is served in a generous portion, enough for two to share. It is unique in that there is quite a bit of cinnamon added on top. If you are not a fan of this spice I would recommend letting them know beforehand. read more

Recomiendo "beef souvlaki" que yo pedí, que consiste en un pincho de carne, acompañado de arroz o papas fritas, con pan de pita y ensalada de vegetales (tomate, pepino, cebolla...) Además probamos las papas fritas con queso feta, muy sabrosas y para acompañante del "skirt steak" excelentes. First time and I've been pleasantly surprised. Despite some of the reviews have mentioned regarding the portion to value being under, I would say the portion overall is satisfying and the ingredients rise to the occasion. I had the gyro wrap with the salad and took 2 more home for my family. The service was efficient with no frills. Restaurant and bathroom was clean. The place was clean and very well lit. And the girl helping us was very kind and patient. She brought us waters right away and we ended up ordering the Gyro Platter off the bat. It was the perfect amount of food for my mom and I. It came with plenty of gyro meat, pitas, a small house salad. and some French fries. The price was fair and the entire process took less than 30 min from the minute we walked in, to signing the check and walking out. I'll definitely be back here to check out more things on the menu. I explain it to him and he throws a temper tantrum about the coupon company " frauding" him, and he did not give me the discount. Please advertise your product correctly. All I wanted was a gyro pita and not gyro meat with pita bread separately it totally ruined the experience. I would've given 5 stars if it wasn't for this, because food is in fact flavorful. On ubereats you have "gyro platter" as something that I did not receive. A disappointment. NY'ers who regularly have authentic Greek in Astoria and LIC. on vacation with my family of five and was told Fetta Republic is good dinner spot. Good is an understatement, this place is fantastic! We went multiple times during our 1 week stay in Sunny Isles. My 6 year old who is the pickiest eater couldn't get enough of the calamari and aioli dipping sauce. Both lamb and chicken gyros were cooked perfectly. It wasn't overly seasoned, oily or dry. It was honestly made perfectly and tasted so fresh! Salad was great, everything we had was great, honestly I wish there was a place in NY that could compare to how good the food is. Highly recommend to anyone livening in the area or visiting. Wish I could give this 0 stars for the owners attitude. I was picking up a order for 3 different names, he starting yelling at me and saying that I'm not saying the names correctly. One of the names was mine, and my friends. Weirdo. Plus he tried snatching my phone out of my hand because he couldn't see the names, I said don't touch my phone I will turn up the brightness. Either this man needs to enter a nursing home or have someone competent to run his business. But just leave. It's an old guy white hair and black framed glasses. We came to this place only because we were on our way to Aventura, and needed a place to eat. Located almost next to a Wynn Dixie, it looked relatively new judging from the look and how recent everything in the restaurant looked. We were seated immediately. We ordered a lemonade and a Diet Coke and a saganaki which is a pan fried Greek cheese. On the side, it came with arugula, a couple of lemon wedges and tomatoes. The only thing missing was a side of pita bread. Other than that, the cheese was really good and you could tell the ingredients being used were all fresh. For our main dishes, we ordered a gyro platter and a falafel platter. I ordered the Greek fries instead of the regular fries (there's an up charge but no worries). When the food was delivered, everything was fresh, crisp, tasty and well seasoned. The platters came with pita, tzatziki, salad and your choice of rice or fries. The Greek fries are housemade fries with crumbled feta and oregano. Tasty and oh so good! Unfortunately, and I'm not sure what happened but our server seemed more interested in whatever was going on on her phone than with us. She never once came to ask if they food was ok, only at the end when I signaled that I wanted to check. The restaurant had two servers, the other one seemed more attentive but hey, maybe ours was having a bad day or the drama on the phone was well worth it. It happens. Menu looked great! Was excited to try a few appetizers and a entree. We saw a lot of vacant tables and we got there around 9 pm. There was only two other tables with guests sitting at them. I saw one server the entire time I was there and after a bit of standing by the front door, I asked can we sit Outside and she said sure, sit wherever you'd like. The table had some water spots and a few crumbs on it. We sat down and waited for her to clean it. She was helping the other 2 tables and then she never did give us menus or offer to clean the table. She didn't even motion to give her a minute. After 10 minutes of waiting, we left. I was hungry and didn't want to deal with bad service. It was only 3 of us in the party, not sure why a menu and clean table wipe seemed to much, but maybe it was. I ordered take out from here. When I got home I realised the side of rice was replaced with a salad, so not only did we get one horrible salad, we got two. It was swimming in sauce and very basic. Secondly for $18 to give me a Chicken Souvlaki platter with one skewer of flavourless chicken and 4 small pieces of chicken is a disgrace. Thirdly the amount of fries I was given made me feel like I was being rationed. As well as all of this, the pita bread was stale and hard to the point I couldn't eat it. Finally the calamari I could've picked up frozen from Walmart, again, bland, flavourless and boring. I could hardly eat any of this and it will be the last time I visit your establishment.
