I regret going to to this dentist. I had a front tooth crown that didn't quite match from another…read moredentist. I went to Dr. Sullivan in hopes that after more than 5 years of hiding my teeth when I talked or smiled, I'd be able to get some confidence back. I'm uncomfortable all the time after a front tooth crown he placed back in June. I've made many, many visits back to get adjustments as none of my other crowns on this same tooth have been uncomfortable, so I knew it wasn't supposed to feel this way. At my last visit, as he was adjusting the back, he must have accidentally hit the bottom of the crown and sliced part of it off. This is one of my front two top teeth, and now one is shorter than the other. I noticed it immediately and asked him about it. He completely denied having done it, even though I pointed out that I walked into the office that day with both of my two front teeth being the same length. What followed is nothing short of shame tactics on his part. Telling me he can never make me happy (gaslighting), when all I've been striving for is to make my mouth comfortable again, the way it was before this crown. I never nit picked the aesthetics of his work. His crowns have all been beautiful and matched perfectly, which I've let him know each time. I went to a different dentist and upon examination he let me know that I am uncomfortable due to crowding on my bottom teeth (something Dr. Sullivan had recognized in December and was working on for me). Basically, my bottom tooth wants to be where my crown is, so of course I'm uncomfortable. I'm going to an orthodontist next and hope to finally feel better. What's heartbreaking is that I am hiding my smile again, as the bottom of the crown has been sliced off. And since I don't plan to get the crown replaced, I will be hiding my smile for a very, very long time. I don't expect perfection in dentists, as they are human, too! But owning up to and admitting mistakes instead of gaslighting and demeaning me would have been a better way to handle that situation. I probably wouldn't have gone back, but I also wouldn't be writing this review right now. To his credit, he did give me all my money back. He also does work with labs that create perfect looking crowns.

Which was so odd.... but the nurse was a little more informative! Then after my child's sleep study, he invested 2 minutes into our appointment total, including asking why we did a sleep study, saying she had no issues with apnea... and said her issue is a stressful house because she slept okay there. What a joke!!

Told me it was a good thing I was doing this or I would die. Seriously! Then, two times during the night, I woke up to him in my room, moving my blankets. Both times he said the equipment showed that I was sweating. I was not, the room was cool and I was not perspiring at all! It totally creeped me out. Maybe if I had been sweating that would have been one thing, but, I was not. (Are they supposed to come in and move blankets? Ever?) So, I woke up those two times, and once to use the bathroom, but curiously, my sleep study report said I slept through the night without waking up. I never went back for my follow-up visit. I really cannot express enough, how disturbing it was waking up to him beside my bed, messing with my blankets. I really wish I knew if that was normal practice.

This is specifically about the part of Samaritan Health Services that provides cpap equipment. Was…read moreany of my experience good? I suppose one or two things - a couple of the techs were nice and helpful- but no one could return a phone call. I've had a cpap machine for 14 years with a different company, which I only left because my insurance made me. I had zero problems in that 14 year period, and I had two machines that lasted 7 years each - and the water reservoirs had no problems. This water reservoir leaked after a couple of months. I left several messages with a receptionist who said someone would call me back. Didn't happen. I finally called on a weekend and the weekend guy got me to someone who got me a replacement. Then the machine itself started emitting a high pitched whine - constantly. These machines cost around $1400 to $1500 each and at that price ought to work without trouble. They don't. That machine was replaced, and I only had to make 3 phone calls before someone called me back. It came with a new reservoir, which after a few months began to leak - exactly like the first one. Again I phoned repeatedly, without a call back, and finally went to the office with my water reservoir in my arms, and was told by the receptionist that "the supervisor is in a meeting" and all the "respiratory techs were also in a meeting." Imagine my surprise to see one of the techs come out to speak with a patient, and a woman pass through the reception area who I later learned was the supervisor. I phoned the main Samaritan office and complained. Then I got a phone call from the cpap supervisor, telling me to come pick up a new reservoir. I was asked to speak with a tech, who told me that this was all my fault, including when the machine was squealing. I think after 14 years, and no malfunctions, I know better. The word "supercilious" is a 5 syllable way of saying "snotty." If you can get your insurance company to let you - do not use this service. Some insurance companies will give you an exception and let you use another company - do it - it will be a much better experience. They didn't have their act together a year ago - they don't have their act together now. Some customer service training for the supervisor and staff (every receptionist I dealt with was pleasant and tried to be helpful it's the tech staff and supervisor who need some work) might help - returning phone calls would be a good start. Attitude and help might be another place to work on.
