The dr. Was so rushed at the consultation, didn't listen, talked over us, interrupted us, didn't give us a chance to ask questions, and got up and left. Which was so odd.... but the nurse was a little more informative! Then after my child's sleep study, he invested 2 minutes into our appointment total, including asking why we did a sleep study, saying she had no issues with apnea... and said her issue is a stressful house because she slept okay there. These guys suck. It has been over 6 weeks since I talked with a guy claiming to be a doctor. Have never met him. He said he was going to check if a new machine was covered by my Medicare. Have not heard back at all. The night staff were all great but aside from them the outfit fails. read more

I was so traumatized by this visit, that I still have nightmares. The tech was asking me personal questions the whole time he got me ready for my sleep study. Told me it was a good thing I was doing this or I would die. Seriously! Then, two times during the night, I woke up to him in my room, moving my blankets. Both times he said the equipment showed that I was sweating. I was not, the room was cool and I was not perspiring at all! It totally creeped me out. Maybe if I had been sweating that would have been one thing, but, I was not. (Are they supposed to come in and move blankets? Ever?) So, I woke up those two times, and once to use the bathroom, but curiously, my sleep study report said I slept through the night without waking up. I never went back for my follow-up visit. I really cannot express enough, how disturbing it was waking up to him beside my bed, messing with my blankets. I really wish I knew if that was normal practice. read more

Read before you go to Willamette Sleep Center!!! I believe I was Dr. Gabr oldest patent, and by that I have been seeing him for 20 years. I started seeing him when I was six. In the last five year his practices at exploded. He hired more staff and a bigger office. He is one of the foremost sleep doctors in the Valley. Everyone want him as a doctors. I am no longer his patent. Dr. Gabr has no bedside manner. He works on a very strict time clock. He just throws pills at you. He doesn't want to fix the problem he just wants to treat them. If you are fixed he doesn't make money. My ENT said I could get off my CPAP machine if I had a surgery. He said 95% chance I would never need one again. Dr. Gabr said I would have my machine for life, and why was I complaining, because it's a pain in the ass. That's why! I have suffered under him for too long and left. I completely agree with all of the bad reviews. Mark Gabr is a poor excuse for a sleep doctor. He is in bed with the medical supply company, Apria. After one month of his service, I had to fire him and get a new doctor. Then it happened. Apria illegally started extorting money from my bank account and I ended up having to contact the Oregon state attorney generals office for help. The Apria medical wound up with about $250 of my money and was unable to retrieve without taking them to court. Do yourself a major favor and go somewhere else or you will be sorry! read more

I suffer from a sleeping disorder and found Willamette Sleep Center and Dr. Gabr, accidentally while looking for another sleep medicine office. I'm glad I made the mistake. I just arrived home from my sleep study. I have to give props to my tech. Dol, or Dal, not sure which way he spelled it. This is my second sleep study that was done on me, and the first study was done by another doctor that "specializes" in this field. I do believe that the first study was flawed due to the fact that leads came off of me in the middle of the night, and the study was rejected by my insurance company. I'm glad I found DR. GABR. Once hooked up to a cpap and titrated correctly, I slept like I have not done in years. Again, I have to commend my tech for being so vigilant and having a great attitude towards things. The night of my sleep study I called to make sure it would be OK if I drove myself to and from the office (they prefer someone pick you up in the morning) the person I talked to was rude and acted like the question was absurd accused me of not having a driver's license he acted kinda nuts so I canceled my study I didn't think I would get any sleep with this guy watching me. Frustrated about lack of care in support staff in charge of prescriptions. Called Wednesday. Was ignored until Monday. Finally approved and called in to pharmacy late Monday. Pharm had to order meds. Order coming in 4pm Tuesday. Cant take til Wednesday morning. Full week without meds. Miserable. Glad it wasnt heart or blood pressure meds. Id be on deaths door. This place is absolute crap. First, they received a referral for me 3 months ago. They never called to set up an appointment. I finally contacted them and the girl I spoke with over the phone was so rude and acted burdened by my call. She said I had to set up a consultation first, and the next appointment was 3 weeks out. I asked if I could at least schedule my actual study now, and she said no, because I need approval from my insurance and then said, and I quote, "I refuse to even submit to your insurance until you come in." Wow, okay, rude. I get to my appointment and the doctor literally asks two questions. One of which was "are you diabetic," and when I said no, he said, "really?" Yes, fucking really. Then he thumbed through my chart smugly. This was last Tuesday. I'm on a time crunch here and was told I would hear back this week about my approval from my insurance. The girl said she would fax it over Wednesday. I also inquired about an at-home study, which the doctor told me to talk to the girls at the desk about. I ask them and she said "only if your insurance denies you." "I prefer to do it at home, so can't we just aim for that?" "No." "Why?" "Because the at-home test is a lot cheaper." REALLY? Anyway. I called yesterday, Monday, just to see if they heard anything. Again, rude girl was rude and said, "I told you I would call when I heard back." Finally, I called my insurance to see what was up, and, shocker, they JUST faxed my form over today. One week later. So, I'm pissed, in case you couldn't tell. I would go elsewhere, but again, this is a time sensitive matter, which these assholes don't care about. read more

I went to Willamette sleep center and had a terrible experience. First they didn't have their act together with my insurance when I showed up for my study, but was told they'd "go ahead and do the study because they didn't see a problem getting approval" big mistake. My insurance covered but what I was not told is the Doctor would charge close to $5000.00 for a one night study, which was very excessive, then he would try to bill me for an additional $1600.00. I tried making payments but due to COVID I couldn't keep up, so they sent me to collections and are now trying to sue me! Cold hearted, money first staff here at this place! If you have the option, go somewhere else. Now I'm pissed and am hiring an attorney to fight the excessive charges and damage to my credit. Boo! Willamette Sleep Center and Dr. Marc Gabor! And to think, I didn't even see the doctor during any of my visits! This place will step on you and your insurance company. Beware!!! read more

I have been going to Dr Gaber for at least a couple years, and he has made a profound difference in the quality of my life. I would never be without my cpap machine. The sleep test I took showed that I quit breathing 60 times in an hour, I had such dark circles under my eyes, I guess from lack of oxygen in my blood, I feel like a new person. I must say that I am confused, and perhaps my husband misunderstood this center's response. But, after quite a lot of money, we called to ask for the video we requested, a month after my husband's stay over. The response to our question was, "We do not keep the videotapes of our patients" What is this all about? Why do they not provide the patient a copy of the video tape to begin with? My husband was diagnosed with absolute no problem, but it is obvious (as I sleep with him) that his physical problem is serious. I question the validity of this service? read more

I had a similar experience to some of the others with Dr. Gabr and the office staff. After I had my sleep study (I will say the technician was terrific--kind and very knowledgeable) and got the CPAP machine, my follow up care was terrible. The man who demonstrated the machine for me was just plain creepy (at one point he actually lounged across the bed in the treatment room while he was talking to me!) The office staff seemed afraid of the doctor, and were slow to respond to phone calls or to provide receipts for payments I made. The doctor himself seemed uninterested in my well being, answered questions abruptly, and spent (I timed it!) under 30 seconds with me on my last visit. I'm reading the Yelp reviews to find a better provider for my needs. read more
