We were in town for a show at The Roxy/Mahalls and Eugene's is a quick walk down the street. A little confusing initially how to order, walk in toward the back of the location and there is a small window where you can order food within the Bottlehouse Brewery. Simple focused menu, reasonable prices. My husband got the burger and house made fries and I got the small house salad with added fried chicken tenders. Easy pay with credit card and they give you a number that you can take to any seat you find. No soda other than bottled root beer at the bar, but iced water is available for others that don't drink. My husband's smash burger had plenty of cheese and was well seasoned, the fries are amazing and highly recommended. My house salad was excellent, not just an afterthought with included spicy marinated cucumbers, tomatoes, fresh spring mix and feta. The salad dressing was a green goddess - it was amazing, flavorful and bright. Their house made sauces were all wonderful and they should be bottled. Their bbq sauce was spicy and sweet and Dilly ranch is a must try. Highly recommend paying extra for their sauces - may have been my favorite part of the meal. The added fried tenders were only $5, great deal as they are freshly made, large portion and perfect with their sauces. Service was kind and efficient, great overall experience. read more

Went to the new Eugene's in Chagrin Falls. First the good, our waitress was great and the food came out quickly! The bad...we ordered the shrimp toast. Was way too fried and couldn't see the shrimp or taste it. Very weird dish. If you're a vegetarian or a pescatarian your choices are extremely limited. Took a smash burger home and it was basically way too much special sauce and a side of burger! Less of the sauce or on the side would have been the way to go if I would have known. Will not go back as an extremely limited menu. More of a kids hangout where they're not too picky about food. If you are a foodie, this place is probably not for you! read more

I went to Brunch with my sister and her fiancé, we got there around 230 (it ends at 3) and asked if they still had chicken & waffles available, to which they responded they have 1 waffle left. So my sister got it and myself and my sister's fiancé changed what we were going to get to accommodate. No problem what so ever. We stopped by this Lakewood location while in the area on a Thursday night. Located inside Lake Erie Brewing, this is a little kitchen that operates independently of the bar. You can walk up to the counter to order your food and then go get drinks at the bar. My husband and I both tried the Tasty Burger. He ordered the special side of Brussels sprouts and I got a side of fries and aioli. All this cost us almost $50. The burgers had good flavor but didn't seem like a 1/4 burger to us. The meat is a smash patty but still seemed quite sparse. We thought for the value, the burger should have been bigger or come with fries without having to pay extra. The Brussels sprouts looked great and he really liked them but they cost $12 and the portion was big enough to serve 4 people. I noticed some of the other sides, like a salad or the pin fries, were also around $10-12. These sides are all big enough to share but I wish they came in smaller portions for just one person for a smaller cost. After drinks at the bar, we dropped almost $65 for a dinner that was just ok but nothing to write home about. I see they have lots of vegan options on Thursday nights and I would really like to come back and try their fish fry during Lent, as those items looked phenomenal on their Facebook page. So, we decided to check this place out on Saturday. We ordered 3 burgers and a fry( but were charged for 2 fries and got them, no biggie) and a $10 pretzel . My husband and son weren't huge fans of the burgers. Mine was fine but not amazing/ blow your mind. My son took one bite and was done, as it was too charred for his taste. The fries are skinny, but seemed homemade. My son loved the giant pretzel and the accompanying cheese sauce. Another place that looks and sounds amazing but only sort of delivered. Vegan burger: the bun is way too big and bready for this burger. The burger itself was inedible. It was hard and crunchy and didn't represent what a vegan burger can be at all. If a better alternative can't be made I would just remove a vegan option from the menu all together. 1/4# burger: this burger is pretty good but could use some salt and pepper. It wasn't seasoned great. The bun is delicious. Good choice there. The bacon is an odd choice as it is thick and chewy and more like eating jerky than the crispy kind of bacon you expect on a smash burger. Had to pick it off. Mac & Cheese: has great flavor but the sauce is way too thick and gloopy for my liking. Felt like I was eating cheese pudding. Not in a good way. Apples: I didn't find it went well with the Mac & Cheese like suggested but they were amazing. These deserve to be a side dish on their own. Ordered the chicken thigh sandwich but received the chicken tender sandwich. Disappointing as I was looking forward to trying their spicy sandwich. Chicken Tenders: hands down the best thing they have to offer. The chicken tenders have a delicious and flavorful breading and are cooked perfect.
