I ordered catering for my Labor Day party. We got ribs , brisket and pulled pork. 14 total pounds of food fed around 50 ppl. 6 full slabs, 4 pounds brisket. 4 pounds pulled pork with left overs. The ordering process was super easy. The confirmation was received instantly. Pickup was a breeze! Awesome service! Now onto the food. Food was incredible! I stopped in for lunch around noon on Thursday and grabbed a seat at the bar. The beer was incredibly fresh, which set the tone for the rest of the meal. As someone who has tried barbecue all over the United States-from southern staples to northern smokehouses-I don't give out high praise easily. This place, however, is a hidden gem. The fried pickles were outstanding with a unique flavor profile, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn they're gluten-free. Checked out this restaurant on our way from the west side to Cleveland. Upon arriving, we were a little confused if we could park in the back parking lot, but we had no issues. The inside seemed very upscale for the area. Settled at the bar for an early dinner. Had a great bartender- was very attentive. Ordered the smoked wings, pork belly, and brisket. Everything was delicious. The bartender was a great resource in choosing low sugar/low carb/carnivore menu items. I also tried a nonalcoholic beer, Brewdog Hazy AF. The food was phenomenal. I am not a huge BBQ person so I always get the Mac and cheese with a meat and it never disappoints! I got the 50/50 sauce so it was a nice taste of spice and BBQ. The waiter did a great job as it appeared he was the only waiter there and hostess so being extremely busy, he still was quick! The restaurant also had a random football game on but they saw some of us were watching the OSU game on our phone so they turn the game on for the individuals at the restaurant. One downfall is if you want to try a sauce, they do charge you $1.50. I am not marking off a star since I should have asked in advance but if you look at the Mac and cheese photo, the one side sauce is what I wanted to try and was charged. The smell walking up to Landmark was enticing, and I was certain I was in for a great meal. My meal with tip was $44 for lunch. A brisket sandwich with maybe 3 ounces of brisket on it, a side of almost burnt fries (which is an up charge). I also ordered deviled eggs as an appetizer for me and my friend and for $10 you get five teeny tiny half eggs. Delicious but way too expensive for what you get. The brisket, which they're supposed to be famous for was adequate. As was the Kansas City BBQ sauce. Nothing great, honestly, though my friend loved her GOAT sandwich. Landmark has been on the BBQ bucket list for a while, and today, I had the chance to check it out. First, the service was prompt, and our server was very kind. We were seated quickly and had water and menus soon after. , Unlike most of the BBQ joints in the area, Landmark wasn't going for a Texas-style BBQ look. Instead, Landmark comes across as a more upscale dining establishment. You can smell the smokehouse from the back parking lot, but inside, you can hardly tell it's a BBQ joint. I'm on a quest to find the best BBQ in Cleveland, so I ordered 1/3 pound of each of the meats on the menu, along with a half slab of ribs and one chicken thigh. We also ordered a pair of side dishes: vinegar slaw and broccoli salad. First up, the sides. The slaw was a solid pairing with the smoked meat. The broccoli salad was flavorful and featured a generous amount of broccoli pieces. I tried the pork belly first. It looked delicious, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Pork belly is one of those smoked meats that can be served as an appetizer, entree, or dessert, and Landmark hit a home run with its pork belly. Pork Belly: 5 stars Next, I went to the brisket. After the pork belly drew a five-star rating, I had high expectations for the brisket. Landmark's social media accounts lured me in with their mouth-watering posts highlighting the brisket. Unfortunately, real life didn't imitate social media. The brisket I received was dry and lacked the hard-hitting flavor I expect to find in brisket. Brisket: 2 stars After the brisket, I wanted to lift my spirits so I took a bite of the chicken thighs. My faith in Landmark was restored. The chicken was well-cooked and seasoned, and with a great variety of sauces to choose from (5 of them!), I had a unique flavor in every bite. Chicken Thighs: 5 stars The pulled pork looked great. There was a noticeable smoke ring, and it also didn't disappoint. The bark was delicious, but there just wasn't enough of it. The meat itself needed more flavoring, and the Landmark sauces delivered. Pulled Pork: 4 stars I'm not a huge fan of turkey, so I'm normally not very tough when ranking a smoked version. There was a lot of flavor in the meat, but it was a bit tough to cut with a fork. Turkey: 3 stars Finally, I made my way to the ribs. I didn't purposefully save the best for last; it just worked out that way. At first glance, the ribs were gorgeous. They were well-trimmed and prepared. We eat with our eyes first, and my eyes wanted to devour all six ribs. I ate three. I wanted to eat more, but I had my fix of meat for the day. The ribs were juicy and tender. I've tried ribs and brisket and pulled pork, and sausage at different BBQ joints around Cleveland. Hands down, Landmark has the best ribs of them all. My partner and I wanted to try this place out for awhile. We love BBQ especially Texas-style briskets. However, this place does not offer Texas-style. We happened to be in there during happy hours so we ordered the fried pickles and cornbreads for appetizers. I am not a big fan of pickles but their fried pickles weren't bad. My boyfriend loved it. Sadly, the cornbreads were a bit disappointing because the cornbreads were too buttery and the texture of it was not very appealing. They also gave you a side of butter to dip it in. We did a family style by ordering a meat plate to share. We ordered brisket, pulled pork and half rack of ribs. For sides, we got chili, mac and cheese, coleslaws, and fries. I didn't like the flavor of the chili but my boyfriend thought it was good and meaty. They used briskets to make the chili. Moreover, they added pepper so there was a kick to it. The Mac and cheese was so good. It was so creamy. Coleslaws were light and yummy. Additionally, the fries were amazing. They were crispy and you could taste the potatoes. Moving to the meats, our favorite was the ribs. I suspected they used either brown sugar or molasses to glaze the ribs because the outside of the ribs had this nice crust. The meats came out of the ribs cleaned. The ribs were delicious. The briskets and pulled pork were okay. The sauce did not do them justice. We got Kansas City and 50/50 sauces. We did not think those sauces were great. The briskets were a bit dry. The 50/50 sauce was so buttery. Overall, I think so far this is one of best places to get BBQ in Cleveland. read more

I came here on a whim, and I am pretty pleased! So a big portion of this is from the excellent bourbon selection, rather than the barbecue I am a sucker for sampler platters, so when I see one, that's almost always what I get. Today, I got to try the brisket, turkey, pork, and two of their sauces. All of the meats were on the drier side. The brisket and turkey were still enjoyable on their own (though better with sauce); the pulled pork was and drier than the others and definitely needed something to help it out. The sauces however, were very good--both the orange vinegar-based one, and the brown sweet barbecue. I would look forward to trying a spicier one in the future. I came at an off hour, but the service and ambience work both great. Music is playing softly in the background, enough to create a good environment, but not so loudly that it is obtrusive, or impair a conversation. And my waitress was both attentive and helpful. The bourbon selection was an unexpected highlight. Although I originally came for barbecue, Landmark offers a wonderful selection of reasonably priced bourbon, as well as good number of their own store pics. I was very pleasantly surprised, and I think this is what really saves the restaurant for me. Overall, the barbecue is pretty decent, but I don't think I would go out of my way for the barbecue alone. One of my favorite spots for ribs on the west side it's pricey, but sometimes it's worth it. It can't be hit or miss depending on who's cooking the ribs they try to give me burnt scraps before I took it back and they exchanged it. We cooked it with no problem. Fried pickles 6/10.. barely had that sour vinegar tang that you crave, the pickles almost felt like they were frozen before frying but the breading was a great consistency -- flavor felt a bit off because of the frozen texture thing. The cornbread 7/10 wasn't better than any authentic southern cornbread i've had, if you're a cornbread lover know that this one does not come with chunks of corn :/ It was moist though! Held together nice, the whipped cinnamon butter is a nice touch but almost makes it taste less like cornbread. Imagine the butter as the Texas Roadhouse butter. BBQ bruschetta, 8/10, I've never had bruschetta quite like this but the flavor was on point and the texture was nice. The presentation could use a little work considering it comes in very obvious bite pieces but the arugula is just all over. The sweet and spicy pork belly, 9/10. Wow! Melts in your mouth, perfect char on the outside, great subtle flavor. The bed of cabbage was perfectly soft and charred on the edges. I only wish there was less sauce on the cabbage. The gin cocktail was yummy and consistent with my second one :) The layout of the place is nice, it's on a corner, has tables and some booths with a bar. The bag seemed a little light for $14. I got the nachos. First off who makes nachos with no sour cream or guacamole especially at this price? Basically some chips maybe a 1/2 cup of brisket and some other "stuff."It was a bit salty for my taste. I started to ask for a side of sour cream but was afraid that would be another $2. I originally was going to order the brisket sandwich which was $12 the last time I had it but it's now $16. A $14 dollar lunch and I feel very unsatisfied. I ordered this in the parking lot of Taco Bell. Wish I had gotten lunch there now. Very unsatisfied. We discovered smoke meat years ago in Montreal. We came back to Cleveland and we couldn't find it anywhere. Then the Landmark opened. The decor is fun and the service is great. In all of our times visiting there has never been a wait, but the dining is very busy. Lucy was an attentive server and seemed very nice. I love the vegan burger and there are additional vegan options on the menu. My partner had the Landmark breakfast and he said it hit the spot. I recently stopped in here a couple of times and, geez, do I wish it was closer to my house. It's kind of understated from the outside- as in you could drive by and never even notice it was there. They have a decent sized parking lot behind them, but parking can be a bit of an issue during busy times. The interior is modern and decorated very nicely. There's an open kitchen and a great bar. It's not very big, not very many tables, but that adds to the whole cozy vibe. Great music too. The bar has a great bourbon selection- a little pricey for pours. However, they have a good handful of restaurant picks and those are absolutely incredible. Whomever is doing the picks, has a great palate. The picks are priced really well. I could come here to drink these all night. The food is really great too though. My husband and I got the cornbread to start and it was very good, but, personally, I would have preferred a regular butter or maybe a honey butter- the cinnamon was too much (and I love cinnamon). I got the glazed brisket with grits and it was absolutely delicious. My husband made a meat platter of ribs and pork belly and got fries. He enjoyed everything. His meal was a little pricey to put together- there isn't a good combo or meal that allows you to sample the meat. At the very least, it should come with a side or some fries. Stopped here after spending a good part of day at Ray's Indoor Mountain Bike Park. We worked up an appetite. This place did not disappoint. The brisket was some of the best I ever had. FOOD -- Here are some recommendations based on what I've bought in the past: -- Smoked Brisket Sandwich ($12) -- onions, pickles, brioche bun, choice of BBQ sauce. I ordered this without onions. This tasted good and it comes with a ton of fries. The brisket was moist and not dry. -- Pulled Pork Sandwich ($12) -- This was okay. The pork was very dry which made it tougher to eat with the bun. Adding some BBQ sauce to the pork helped it taste a little less dry. I ordered a side of broccoli which was good. -- Smoke St. Louis Ribs ($16) -- My favourite dish out of everything I've ordered. A 4/5 rating because when I ordered recently in April 2022, there was too much BBQ sauce added on the ribs so I had to remove some of it off; otherwise, it would have been too hard to eat. -- Thai Peanut Bowl: As my review below states, this bowl had a very bland sauce and the taste was just off, in my opinion.
