I'm surprised there aren't more reviews for this hidden gem since this has been here for years. They sell all sorts of snacks the aunties and uncles enjoy snacking on such as pickled mangos, dried seafood and crackers that you don't typically find at the asian supermarket. They're located inside Grand Century, but to grab your attention they have tables setup in front of their store displaying goodies. This time around we were suckered into the dried deer jerky and dried chili lime squid. The shopkeepers will gladly will give you samples to try because there are so many goodie bins. This was the most popular spot for Banh Tet and Banh Chung in Grand Century! I'm so glad they didn't sell out yet on new year's eve. They have varieties with pork or banana. I went for the mung bean and pork version and it was DELICIOUS! They do put a lot of black pepper, but a generous amount of pork belly. I was looking for last minute Banh Tet to eat for Lunar New Year and I couldn't find any at my local Vietnamese delis. My friend recommended that I go to Grand Century - with a grain of salt... this area of town is CRAZY during CNY, so GOOD LUCK finding parking. Licorice lemon is one of my childhood favorite snacks. I am so surprised that I can find it in here. Of course, this is not the Hong Kong style version but I really like the Vietnamese version as well. I bought two bags, one for me and one for my mom. I know she is gonna love it. $7.50 per 1/2 lb. Found myself here yesterday because I wanted to get a few snacks for a guy that is very dear to me. He is a white guy but probably the most Vietnamese-ish I have ever known (besides my grandma). i came here with a couple of friends on Saturday night. We ate at the Saigon kitchen and went to get some beef jerky at this place. my friend who is Vietnamese told us the jerky is very good. I got two kinds of jerky for my Mom and then my friend got some tamarind candy for her daughters I got a small variety pack and 1lb of lemon tamarind I have to hide the tamarind or I will finish all of it It's so addicting. my favorite piece out of the variety sampler that I got was the lemon ginger tamarind. In future if I go back again with my friend I will get more. it's a reminder of when I grew up there is a shop that sells dried plums similar to the taste of the tamarind candies in Hong Kong. Please don't buy snacks from this place. It was not the same as it used to be when Lan and Hong were there. I think they changed ownership. I live in SF so don't go there often. Went there last month to buy mangoes. It tastes horrible and not so fresh, I thought they must have a bad batch. Gave them another chance, I went there again yesterday. I told them about bad mangoes from my last purchase. The response i got was, "we got it from Thailand, so it must be bad." My craving gave in, so I bought myself bunches of other treats. My momma introduced me to this place awhile back and I've been going here ever since. It's a great place for spicy (and non-spicy) Vietnamese beef jerky. It's a little pricey...at about $9.00/lb but it's oooh so good and addicting. If you don't know what you want, you can have samples of whatever it is that you're eying so have no fear. They also have seafood jerky and a large variety of dried fruit too. I've also noticed that they sell a bunch of imported goodies from Europe; such as cookies, coffee, and candies. I've also tried their pickled guava and it's great dipped in some salt and chili. Yum! It's a great little place full of Eurasian delights. If you've ever been to Sweet Factory (the candy store), this place is pretty much like that but instead of plastic boxes of candy...there are plastic boxes of jerky! Worst experience ever today, I usually come here after getting some sugar cane juice in the same plaza but today I was scammed by the grandma in the back who was the cashier. My wife spent 43, so she gave her 2 20 and 1 10, then my wife turned around and the grandma goes and say there's only 30 dollars so me and my wife knew we gave her 2 20s and a 10. I wanted to argue with her but my wife said she does not want to argue with the grandma cuz she's older. This small boutique of imported French/Italian sweets and Vietnamese dry goods (e.g. beef jerky, dried squid, cakes) is inside of the shopping center and adjacent to the food court. They let you sample all the selections. But don't stick your fingers, in the bins, or they'll get snapped off! The ladies that work here prefer to do the work for you. read more

Once you buy stuffs or any dried foods in this store, be careful and keep an eye on them once they pick up a ready to eat food by a bare hands, so ridiculous, they are very poor level of personal hygiene. My husband bought a box of chà bông gà, the lady just used her bare hands and grab cha bông into the box, at least she has to use a gloves or tongs to scoop the food. This is unacceptable, bare hand contact are not allowed for ready to eat foods. Especially during this pandemic Coronavirus, it's so dangerous. I was so upset, I asked my husband should confront her once he saw her was grabbing the food with her barely hands, it's so disgusting, he should gonna refuse to take a food, shouldn't paid and just go. My favorite place to get Asian beef jerky! Sure, it can get super crowded sometimes and you'll have to wait your turn to get some delicious samples and bags of jerky, but it'll be worth your time! Unlike some other stores in the area, you're not allowed to dig through the bins for beef jerky, someone comes and helps you get it, which makes it much more sanitary. The workers here are pretty nice and let you sample everything you'd like before you choose. They also have really nice sealed bags, which make fantastic gifts! They have a zip-lock on the top so you can reseal them if you don't plan on finishing all the delicious jerky in one sitting! read more

Eurasia, I love, love, love your beef jerky, and I always tend to come back for more within the same month. But, why am I giving them a 3 stars? The last time I came by, the customer service from a certain lady in front has been cranky. I don't know if she had a bad day or someone ruined it for her. But I would give this place the benefit of the doubt, due to the beef jerky, and had a great time with the other ladies in the store. I ordered half a lb of the special beef jerky, and i guess she mistook it for 1 lb. I corrected her mistake of course, and asked her nicely, if I could get what I asked for 1/2 lb. She did it... okay, thanks that's nice of you. After that, she told me to meet the lady at the front, and she threw the bag at the counter in front of the cashier... o...kay? I get the point that being a retail employee, there's going to be a lot of harsh customers, but please don't throw the products on the counter if they're going to purchase it, just a thought though. They will treat you like a king if you dress nicely and look intent on buying something, giving you samples of all their jerkies to try. But if you are just strolling in casual cargo shorts, don't expect too much service. I found out of this after being in both situations, so I have a lesser impression of this place after this kind of discrimination. I will also mention that their jerkies are well known and tasty, but be sure to know what you're getting first and try as much as they'll let you. This stuff ain't cheap, and when I come here to get gifts for my family, I make sure that the jerky is still fresh. Lastly, I have had to correct the lady at the register before, who (on purpose or not) charged me an extra $5 than what I had purchased. This spot is the one in competition with O-Mai, as they're right next door to each other and sell almost identical products. Why is Eurasia Delight always packed, while O-Mai is empty...it's the service! The ladies here are all so nice and helpful, and will stay helping you, even if you're tasting everything in the store and only buying 1/4 lb of each thing. At O-Mai, they started treating me like crap when I went to purchase a little bit of beef jerky at lunch. When I came back at dinner time, I ended up giving all of my business to Eurasia! The big big plus is they carry the Belgian Chocolate Covered Crepes, which I can normally only find at Costco during Christmas. They also have all kinds of pate and butter from France. This place is best for anything dried or pickled. I haven't tried much of their dried/candied fruits, but I love the dried strawberries. I recommend trying their selection of jerky, especially the curry beef jerky and the dried abalone. These are very well made, and it offers a slightly different flavor than American jerky. I don't think you will be disappointed. In addition, during Vietnamese New Year, they have an array of new year sweets that you absolutely have to try. The pricing is moderate in my opinion. The jerky runs about $7-9 for 1/2 pound. You may think that sounds expensive, but you do get a considerable amount of jerky. The other wonderful thing is that this place accepts credit card, and they don't have a least amount spent limit for credit card use. That should make shopping quite convenient. read more

Eurasia specializes in Asian goodies and European delights. This means Vietnamese beef jerkies, Vietnamese candies, and European coffees and candies. The set up is a bit like the major shopping center Ben Thanh in Saigon, VN; loads of candies and preserved fruits lined up as well as beef jerky, fish and squid jerky etc. The jerkies come in a variety of spices and flavor: some are a tougher cut, some are RED RED w/ chili flakes, some are sweet and others are smokey...PLUS they got seafood jerkies! Those who love those dried shredded squids pressed into a sheet, Eurasia's got it. The prices are not cheap, so beware if you buy a lot. But if you buy little of different things, that can mean a big bag of meaty goodness! Also available are Asian candies - like durian hard candies (uh no thank you), tamarind chewies, sesame and peanut candies, lychee gummies (stay away! it's like wax!) etc. They also serve traditional VN style icecreams in a little baggie frozen! European goodies include Italian boxed cookies, French butter cookies, coffees....I bought a bit of Italian fruit hard candies, they are minature and so cute! What I don't like is that the patron cannot get the jerky themselves. The set up is exactly like a bulk candy shop (like Dylan's and Sweet Factory) but the employees will grab the jerky for you instead... When they ring you up, ask for a receipt! My parents bought a few bags of different meats and somehow it came up to be 42?! They ring you up but don't break down each item....I'm paranoid if they don't break it down for you..VN are usually honest, but still...can't be too sure! Went there last Sunday - the day before the Lunar New Year - to get banh tet for my mom. I got the one with pork since that's the kind we eat every year. I opened it on Tuesday and the sweet rice was dry and hard all the way to the center - completely inedible so I threw it in the trash. This place is great if you got the urge for some Vietnamese snacks! If you like regular American beef jerkey then you gotta try this. The jerkies are much more flavorful and moist, unlike American jerkies that are much drier. I am not saying its better but much different but downside is that Vietnamese jerkies are definitely expensive. Other then that they have a great selection of other type of foods such as imported cookies and chocolates. I suggest you all try the vietnamese yogurt they sell, it is tart rather then just sweet like normal yogurts. And as usual they have the dried fruits which are very good if you just want something to snack on, varying from sweet to sour to salty, try them all! All the employees are very nice and will help you out with anything you need. Avoid purchase beef jerky from here! I bought 1/2 lb. of the spicy pepper beef jerky and have not opened the bag for only 7 days. When I opened the sealed bag, there are thick white mold grew inside the bag. I took it back to exchange for another kind but the shop owner refused to replace, instead she treated me like a beggar. She told me that I failed to properly store the product. This store owner needs to be trained in customer service, how to display some manners, common courtesy, and take responsibility for her products. Do not eat the beef jerky from this place as they might not be safe to eat. Came here for Lunar New Years goodies and will likely be making an annual trip. They have the entire spread of what you normally can only get during new years. Only got the candied lotus seeds (sen) since I bought other things from the store next door. The lotus seeds are bomb!! I went there to get some food for Vietnamese new year next week. I bought "bánh tét & giò thu?" to plan as the gift for my friends and family. Fortunately, I only got one of each to try before I buy dozen as planing. It was not good like they said. Bánh tét was still raw , I could not finish even 1/4 of it, I had to throw away the rest.
