Licorice lemon is one of my childhood favorite snacks. I am so surprised that I can find it in here. Of course, this is not the Hong Kong style version but I really like the Vietnamese version as well. I bought two bags, one for me and one for my mom. I know she is gonna love it. $7.50 per 1/2 lb. What a great deals :) They have so many different kinds of dried fruits snacks, beef jerky, fish jerky and etc. Definitely will come back for more dried stuff next time. :) Customer service was friendly and helpful!!!

Banh Tet and Banh Chung traditional rice cakes for Tet, Vietnamese Lunar New Year from Eurasia Delight
    Rita N.

Chuc mung nam moi! Happy Lunar Year of the Cat! Tet is the Vietnamese Lunar New Year, and there are many traditions that I want to celebrate with my kids that I hope they will remember and pass down to their next generation when they grow up - decorating the house with flowers and lanterns, receiving red envelopes, sharing oranges, and especially eating Banh Tet and Banh Chung which are traditional rice cakes served during Tet and gifted to family and friends. Memories that are rooted in a myriad of senses become core memories, and that is what true culinary experiences become. I want my kids to remember the smell of the banana leaves, the stickiness of the rice, the bright yellow mung beans, the language of their ba noi (grandmother) as the Banh Tet is shared, and of course the delicious pork belly in the rice cakes. These sensations are perfectly captured in the Banh Tet and Banh Chung from Eurasia Delight with the authentic flavors that remind you of the motherland. The vendor is like your favorite auntie sharing her lovingly made food with you, and the Banh Tet and Banh Chung are packaged prettily like gifts which are perfect for giving to your friends and family when you visit them during the two weeks of Lunar New Year celebrations. Both Banh Tet and Banh Chung are filled with rice, mung bean, and seasoned pork belly, and the difference is in the shape - Banh Chung is shaped in a flat cube shape and may be found year round, and Banh Tet is cylindrical and only found during Tet. To serve the rice cake, my preferred way is to unwrap the banana leaf covering and slice into your desired serving size and then heat it up in a hot skillet, airfryer, or microwave and serve warm. It is a savory (not sweet) treat that can be enjoyed with any meal or even as a snack. Eurasia is located at the back of the popular Grand Century Mall on Story Road in San Jose just past the food court, and you may be tempted to buy similar looking Banh Chung from other shops, but don't be fooled. Only Eurasia has the best Banh Tet and Banh Chung in the South Bay. I hope you can get some to enjoy for Tet before they sell out! Wishing you all a Happy Lunar New Year! And may the Year of the Cat (or the Rabbit) bring you good health and good fortune!

Wow. Chicken?! I love this place!!

Found myself here yesterday because I wanted to get a few snacks for a guy that is very dear to me. He is a white guy but probably the most Vietnamese-ish I have ever known (besides my grandma). I have known him for about 3 years and the only takeaway I have thus far is: + he likes huu tieu + he likes bun bo hue + he hardly eats rice + he cannot eat tendon (what a shame) + he likes mangoes + he likes iced teas + he likes passionfruit (the eyes) + he is impatient + he drives like me (that is a compliment) + he doesn't eat pate (he doesn't know what he is missing) + he is probably going to end up living in Vietnam later + doesn't care for burgers *shakes my head* + he orders from Nick the Greek through DoorDash (haha) + Astros fan + Cowboys fan + he does the side eye when I say something appalling + he is a gentleman - chivalry ain't dead + he is damn hard to read Anyway. The reason why I wanted to put together a mini snack bag for him is because he has done so much for me. I don't understand why and it is bothering me but regardless my objective was to get him some Vietnamese snacks so that he can enjoy at work. I didn't know where to start when I walked in. I just asked for anything mangoes and I got beef jerky that looked the most appealing. They have a lot of jerky variety. I bought guava something too. It was a little embarrassing that I had to ask what it was called in English because the lady spoke to me in Vietnamese. You guys should know me by now if you have read my past reviews - I do not eat fruits so I do not know what they're called or what some of them look like. Everything is priced at 1/2lb. Kudos on accepting Visa/MC. I don't understand the lack of service on these reviews because I was treated very well that morning. I even told the lady that I will be back this weekend and I will. Why? It's because I bought 2 things that day for Gavin and I. It was an impulse buy because I do not have self-control when it comes to food. I bought cha lua or known as gio (Vietnamese steamed pork roll). The lady that was helping me told me to try the chicken one. My mind was completely blown away. Chicken?! In my head I was thinking that it must be healthier so I agreed w/o any resistance. It is $1 more than the pork? "It's all good" I told her and then I quickly realized I was speaking to an older Vietnamese woman. Tried the chicken steamed roll 10 minutes ago. Superb. They make it only Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. It is $5 per. You can also place a large order if you want them before their debut on the weekend. I also loved the sample of the ruoc that I tried; no msg and no sugar! I can eat that w/ plain white rice alone. Omg. I am hungry.

1/4 pound of dried mango for $2.50

Love this place. Stopped by this store for 5 minutes and was amazed at all the selection of dried products they have here. On the search for dried mangoes I asked the employee/owner if they sold any dried mangoes. Their products sell by the 1/2 pound. Bought 1/4 pound of the dried mangoes for $2.50.

My momma introduced me to this place awhile back and I've been going here ever since. It's a great place for spicy (and non-spicy) Vietnamese beef jerky. It's a little pricey...at about $9.00/lb but it's oooh so good and addicting. If you don't know what you want, you can have samples of whatever it is that you're eying so have no fear. They also have seafood jerky and a large variety of dried fruit too. I've also noticed that they sell a bunch of imported goodies from Europe; such as cookies, coffee, and candies. I've also tried their pickled guava and it's great dipped in some salt and chili. Yum! It's a great little place full of Eurasian delights. If you've ever been to Sweet Factory (the candy store), this place is pretty much like that but instead of plastic boxes of candy...there are plastic boxes of jerky! It's clean and the employees are helpful and sweet.

I only come here when I want to snack on something salty, crunchy and small!!!! =GOOSEBERRIES. the small yellow snackable fruits is it? The lady that owns the place is a SHEISTY ass Biatch. I bought 4 LBS of Gooseberries (my bf loves these with beer), and i asked for "a lot" of chili salt seasoning.. she said she can only give me 2, SHE told me.."I TAKE A LOT OF TIME TO DO THIS FOR FREE" I was like WTF... I asked her how many she gave out with 1/2 LB. she says 1. so then I told her I got 4LB so she should be giving me 8. so she gave me one more and told me i should eat so much salt. its not good for me. IM LIKE WTF, DO MAH now u tryna act like my MOTHA!?!!! and they were not crunchy like before, the batch i got today were super soft. always sample before you buy!

My favorite place to get Asian beef jerky! Sure, it can get super crowded sometimes and you'll have to wait your turn to get some delicious samples and bags of jerky, but it'll be worth your time! Unlike some other stores in the area, you're not allowed to dig through the bins for beef jerky, someone comes and helps you get it, which makes it much more sanitary. The workers here are pretty nice and let you sample everything you'd like before you choose. They also have really nice sealed bags, which make fantastic gifts! They have a zip-lock on the top so you can reseal them if you don't plan on finishing all the delicious jerky in one sitting!

What a fabulous little shop this is! All kinds of Asian goodies like dried, salted plums, jerkies, dried seafood snacks and pickled fruits. My co-workers and I came here today after lunch and bought some stuff to try. The two ladies working in the store were pretty nice and one of them let me sample their dried, spicy plums. So good!! The other lady at the cashier explained the different kinds of pate they sell and the cost of each one. Most definitely coming back to try more yummies!

Went here on a whim in search of sesame balls!…read more We were staying in San Jose and were in DESPERATE NEED of sesame balls, so this bakery was nearby. It's a Banh Mi deli plus a bakery, but we were on a mission to get JUST sesame balls! They had two kinds to choose from - red bean or mung bean, and we did an 18 ct of red bean (excessive?? Possibly. But it was vacation!). I was so excited because they looked and smelled fantastic! However, I was disappointed that I didn't get much of a pull from the dough nor was there a lot of filling on the inside (it was extremely sparse). The flavor did not lack though - the sesame taste was PERFECT (heavy for a normal person, not for me though!), but I wanted more of the filling to balance that heavy sesame taste. The ladies running the shop were your true Vietnamese aunties who were gabbing it up with the regulars, and were sweet to my friend and I (who again, were on a mission for one thing!). Overall, I'd come back to try the Banh Mi and the rice-based desserts.

Not sure if it is freshly made to order but i'll try to ask next time. I had gotten the semsame balls as recommended. There is a pandan ,or custard filling in the ones without black sesame. and mung bean filling in the ones with black sesame. I prefer the custard filling ones. They had under a heat lamp and bitting into one gave the most satisfying crunch of the mochi and sesame skin. The best dessert in hte bay. I had salso order the pat8e chaud. they were cold upon arrival but I found them decliious despite it losing a lot of the crispy and flakiness of the outer skin. The filling is pork and chicken. Declious but found it less so over time as I brought 4 for the next several days. Ordered the xian jian bing, the fried chinese or asian donut. That was extremely cold and priccey, not worth buyign and Im glad I only bought one. I also purchased some some Vietnamese desserts such as the pandan jelly cakes and the taro jelly cakes. Foudn both very delicious. I would definitlycome back to see what else I havent tried and comem back for the sesame balls.

I'm used to typical straightforward nature at markets, but their attitude is something else. I was constantly berated while looking at mangos near the door. Literally the whole time, an employee was standing right next to me and nagging me as if I was about to topple all the fruit off the stand or completely obstructing the door. I wasn't, and it's absolutely normal to sort through and select fruit? These mangos are EXPENSIVE, I don't want to just blindly pick a box. When I asked if I should pay outside or inside at the cashier (since some grocers will have you pay for outside merchandise, outside), she rudely asked if I was blind and couldn't see the cashier. I asked the cashier about this behavior (in Vietnamese) and was entirely ignored. Literally not a single word said. Not sure why I hadn't just left at this point, but I bought 6 large, rather expensive, boxes. I truly regret it because even THEN, they made me feel like a nuisance for setting them down outside as I carried them 2-by-2 to my car on the other side of the parking lot. There are no carts and I'm not exactly the strongest body builder out there, not sure what they expected of me. I regret spending my money here. There are plenty other stores in the area for tropical fruit, with better prices and better service.

It is located in the lion plaza's food court on Tully rd and has ample parking if you decide to swing by. As a heads up, this place is cash only so make sure you are fully prepared! My partner and I ordered 2 sets each and overall it took around 15 minutes to get our order. They prepare it at the time of ordering so it is fresh and sizzling when it comes out. Since it's located in a food court, the dining space is shared. They do give you a ringer so you know when your food is good to go. My first impression was that this plate did not disappoint. It was a generous portion of meat, a good distribution of pate, egg, and butter. I love how they had the pickled vegetables at the side as palate cleanser. They also give you a hefty fluffy baguette to dip into the sauces. All combined was perfection. Lately I notice a lot of higher end spots are serving Bo ne and charging upwards to $35-$45 for a plate, but this spot proves that you can still get the classics at a reasonable price ($20)!
