This deli market is the only commercial use in the immediate residential neighborhood and is Castro adjacent. So as a resident in the surrounding neighborhood I appreciate this spot. It's definitely great for grab and go with a nice deli selection. This review is based off a door dash delivery order of a breakfast burrito. For the exterior i like how they used some kind of press to grill the tortilla. Beware and expect to get your breakfast burrito deli style. The ingredients on the door dash menu didn't list a few added ingredients traditionally not associated in a bacon, cheese, egg and hash brown burrito. They layered in fresh sliced tomatoes, raw red onions and perhaps mayo which to me is unusual. But I went with it. Wasn't bad, but I probably would request to leave that off. read more

I believe this is the market that my grandparents owned in 1908. I think it was called Henry's. They lived with my father and uncle up the street at 4159 17th Street. My father was born in 1910 and lived there until they moved to the valley to Modesto to farm and raise chickens and milk cows. My father always drove us by the store and house when we visited San Francisco when I was a child. I have a great picture of my grandparents and dad and uncle on the front porch of the house which I am pleased to know still stands. I have a set of beautiful stemware glasses that were sitting on the dining table during the SF fire and earthquake that my mother always loved to tell the story of how none were broken. Obviously, I have a flood of memories because my father always spoke so fondly of these times even though he was only seven when they moved. His heart will always be in San Francisco. I also have a great picture of my grandfather attending the Banquet of SF Grocers in 1914 at the Del Monico Restaurant at Geary and Mason Streets. I stopped by here today to splurge and grab a quick bite. I was surprised at how clean the store was and how friendly the guy working there was to me. I needed directions and he helped me out. I even saw a sign in the window for Laundry Locker. If I didn't already have it in my building, I would probably come here for it. Dishonest. I came here to buy some pricier specialty liquors. When I got home, I was notified of the charge on my credit card, and they overcharged my credit card by several dollars. Perhaps they thought I wouldn't notice since the purchase was over 100 dollars, but I did. The clerk also did not offer me a receipt, making it even more suspicious. Rather unfortunate. I love this place. The people who work there are really nice. They never look down at you if you're having a moment of weakness and buy 6 pints of Haagen-Dasz. Not that I've ever done that... This is a good corner store. They carry Metromint, which I love. They also have an amazing selection of energy drinks in all sizes. Lately they have had mini size grape Swishers which I really like.
