A friend I trust strongly recommended Dr. Haro to help me with stubborn neck pain I've had for months. I doubt anybody has walked into an appointment with a Chiropractor more afraid than I was. You'd think I was about to jump out of a plane (without a parachute!) In the waiting room, I could hear the GADUNK of the adjustment table, and to me it sounded like a guillotine! I was so nervous! But - Dr. Haro was incredibly patient. He listened to me, (and I talked a lot), he carefully explained what he would do, and then after making sure it was ok with me, he did a few adjustments on my back and neck which felt good and put my fears to rest. Although one session won't likely resolve this, I did feel better when I left. Now I'm looking forward to going back next week and continuing to improve. It's also well worth seeing Crystal, a massage therapist there. She's amazing too. You know in the first few minutes that you're in great hands with her. Dr Ken and his staff are amazing. i've known Ken for over 20 years when I used to swim laps in the Masters Lanes at Oceana High School while my boys were practicing with the swim team. Back then, I was not a patient but became friends as I considered him a GOAT in terms of his strict diet and exercise regime. Approximately 12 years ago I started to see him for low back strain and see him only when needed. Back then my masseuse was Angel who was amazing and had been with Dr. Thomas for over 15 plus years before moving away. Fast forward and I get massages from David who is also great and like Angel can immediately tell the areas where massage is needed. Dr Haro is his associate who actually trained under Dr. Ken. And finally let's not forget Anastasia who is the Office Manager and has been with Dr. Ken for many years. If I could give Dr. Thomas ten stars I would. I've had a bad back since I was 10 when I wore high heel boots to go climb up and down a snow covered mountain in Tahoe and had a terrible fall in my back. I shrugged it off after the fall. Flash forward to 18 years later, I woke up one morning and had the worst back pain ever! I couldn't even move walk a few steps without aching in pain. I took the day off from work and stayed at home. I started seeing Dr. Thomas over a year ago by multiple recommendations from friends and family. I began seeing him for right mid back pain that had been ongoing for 5 years and after a few sessions I felt like a new person. I continue to go here and there for maintenance or when other problems arise. Dr. Thomas has been a huge help to getting me back to my activities. And we always have such nice conversations. I bit the bullet and thought I'd give them another try. This time they were clear the massage is only 50 minutes, which was the issue that triggered the prior issues. That said, I've had many massages all over the north bay and never seen any office try to give 50 minutes instead of an hour... Anyway, they couldn't schedule me because of a computer crash so I went elsewhere and on my way they called back and said when the computer came back up they saw a note in my file, which could only be about my previous review, and they suggested I find service elsewhere! I had actually started this review update to bump it up a star, but after this response, and given my poor review was solely due to their last minute cancellation without explanation, after three confirmations, I'm taking it down a notch. I don't care so much personally, I get fine service elsewhere for a much better value, but I do not consider that kind of response at all professional... I will say she was quite polite about telling me to get lost though... ;-) All in all, if you know what you're getting into and are ok with the price per "hour", I would still recommend it, I think they are well trained and well liked, judging from the other reviews, but it didn't work out for me, too bad since I need regular massage and adjustments, and it's a two minute walk from my home. read more

I used to go to this place when I lived in Pacifica and loved them-! The way Dr. Thomas pops middle area of Thoracic Vertebras are so gentle that you don't have to feel like you are going to be crushed on a table. You hug yourself and he gently hold your body in place and "Pop". Most places have people laid on a table where you are on your stomach looking down but this place does very differently. I'm at a loss...what else is there to say about Dr. Thomas and his staff except that they are wonderful? This morning I woke up with excruciating pain in my neck (no comments from the peanut gallery!). Despite the fact that he had a full schedule of clients Dr. Thomas' terrific office staff managed to fit me in. Turns out one of the vertebrae in my neck was out of whack, ouch! Thankfully Dr. Thomas and one of his fabulous massage therapists fixed me right up and I feel great. He didn't rush me at all, asked questions and seemed to genuinely care about my general health and about me as a person, that was so nice! I have been a patient at Dr. Thomas' office since Dec 2008 when I was in a really bad car accident. I was a sleeping passenger (seat reclined) in a car that crashed on the freeway. Dr. Thomas is very knowledgeable and very caring. He has shown me exercises and stretches that I can do at home to help strengthen my lower back and neck. I reluctantly came here after spending nearly 2 months with serious lower back pain. It was by far the best decision I could have possibly made. My insurance doesn't cover chiropractic care so I was concerned with cost but Dr. Thomas's rates are reasonable. I am finally 85% better than I was in August and improving daily thanks to his amazing skills as a chiropractor. Long overdue yelp review alert!! Dr. Thomas is absolutely the best. He has given me nine lives and more! I first met him in 2009 when I threw my neck and back out from picking up my infant. I could.not.walk and Dr. Thomas, in 2 weeks and 3 visits, completely healed me. Since then, there have been numerous debilitating tweaks that he has healed: swollen tendons, tennis elbow, sciatica, and my daughter's carpel tunnel. I can not rave enough about how loving, caring, knowledgeable, gentle, and practical Dr. T is. He also works with kids and specializes in pregnant women and athletes, especially surfers. I have been to 2 other chiropractors before seeing Dr. Ken Thomas, and while they were able to give me pain relief, they were always trying to get me to come back for more adjustments whether I needed them or not. Dr. Thomas is not that kind of chiropractor. When I wrenched my low back deadlifting, Ken told me that he could fix me in about 4 or 5 visits. Within 3 visits, I was about 80% better. By visit 5, I felt so good that I was able to lift weights for the first time in weeks. From there he told me to come back any time I felt necessary and that advice has helped me avoid excruciating pain ever since. His prices are very reasonable and that includes a brief session with a physical therapist beforehand. I can't imagine going anywhere else. read more

I've been a patient of Eureka Square Chiropractic since I was injured in a car accident in 2009. I've been to many chiropractors in other cities and Dr. Thomas is among the best of them that I've been to. In addition to the excellent care he delivers, he listens, understands, and truly cares about his patients' well being and lives. His approach is holistic and effective. After my initial series of treatments, I now only feel the need to go back every 6 months or so when my injury acts up (usually because I did something silly like sitting cross-legged on the floor for 6 hours straight). The staff is incredibly friendly and the massage therapists listen to what you want. I highly recommend Eureka Square Chiropractic and have suggested it to several friends who have had back issues. I would say the only downside is that because they have so many patients and like to take the time to really treat all of them, you may end up waiting a bit of time once you arrive for your appointment. Getting an actual appointment has never been an issue for me. read more

My gyno referred me to Dr.Thomas when I was prego with my daughter for my back and neck issues. That was around 8 years ago and I have been going, when I need too, since. HE IS THE BEST! Dr. Thomas also treats my two daughters when they need it. My older daughter plays sports and has had knee problems. He has been so helpful and easing her pain and teaching her exercises. Dr. Thomas is amazing - I have referred many friends and we all agree that he does some crazy voodoo to cure just about anything from vertigo to a stuffy head to ear aches to bum knees and I even go in for the occational back pain. Since my usual chiropractor was closed on the day that I badly needed an adjustment, I yelped this location and decided to go there due to all the good reviews. I'm giving this place 2 stars because of all the misinformation I was given as a new patient. When I initially made the appointment, I informed them that I would be paying with insurance, and have given them the information over the phone as to what insurance I did have. When I got to the place, and was already seated in the doctor's office had I been told that he was "out of network." To me this was such a low blow. Being that they knew of my insurance information ahead of time, and they tell me after the fact that I have been seated in the Dr.'s office with no choice but to be seen and pay their premium was very disappointing. Although I must say that this review would have been 1 star if the Dr. hadn't called me to follow up. So +1 for that endeavor. Although, it was also a call to tell me that I had to pay more for his services. His justifications was because if I were to compare his services to other chiro's out there, he offered "better" information and services. I thought that that itself was unprofessional to put yourself up on a pedestal right off the bat, compared to your other colleagues in the area. Trash talk if you ask me. I told him that before I commit to any other services, I want to make sure that the cost is effective to me, and that I would talk to his front desk staff first. You can bet I called the front desk right away to cancel my next appointment. They tried to sway me and make me feel like this was the "best" place, but at the rate they were charging me I would have gotten 2 appointments out of their one. Plus the information she gave me was wrong, telling me the Dr. will charge me way cheaper than what he offers. I corrected her by telling her that the Dr. explicitly said "on top of what we are charging, we will charge an additional..." She never called me back to verify. If you do decide to go here, make sure you do all the research and work yourself, as you cannot trust the front desk to provide you accurate information. Dr. Thomas office in Eureka Square only accepts cash payments. First visit cost me $150.00. This office assured me they would process my disability forms since I can't work due to back injury. A month later my claim has not been filed. This office told me they can't figure out how to fill out the paperwork on line and said it looks like a lot of work and they don't think they can do it. What kind of Doctor's office is this? I now see Dr. Ron Mitchel Makati Chiropractic in Pacifica who accepts insurance and he can process disability claims. He is awesome. read more

The office is in beautiful Pacifica and you can stand outside and look at the ocean if you get there a few minutes early and need to relax.
