I'm again waiting for a call back about my Corrado which they've now had for over a year. When I called them yet again last week to inquire about the status, I was told they hadn't even worked on it. Yes, you're reading this correctly: they've had the car for over one year and haven't even started working on it yet. I was told they'd get back to me later in the week. It's now the following week, no call back, no update, no ETA. When I finally have my vehicle back I will update this review and rating. I'll be cross-posting my final review to Google, Facebook and the forums as well, as they've changed their name from Drive Auto Works and some people may not be aware of the history/connection. read more

Terrible Service... Had issues at old location. I gave Aldwin a chance and went back to him. He did my Water pump 2 times, my valve cover gasket and timing cover gasket in 2020.... i barely drive the car and now 2024 he says i need another timing cover gasket. Ive also poured over $400 to fix my A/C and it is still not fixed and he wanted me to pay $1200 for 2 A/C lines now. He had my car for 2 weeks and didnt even work on it. When i called he asked me what i needed to fix on it and blamed his receptionist. Also scratched my brand new powder coated wheels...(he did pay for it). I complained that my coolant was leaking and he said he didnt find any leaks. I take care home and jack it up and sure enough its leaking from the water pump. I take it back to him and drop it off.... his new receptionist called me back to tell me i needed new control arm bushings and when i asked about my coolant leak... he said "what coolant leak". He had no idea. Terrible terrible server. Do not recommend. I picked up my car after a week and nothing was touched. read more

I have been with them for many years and with many cars. I have been robbed blind by other spots and it's hard to find quality work for a reasonable price. They worked on my S8, A8L, Q7 and my daughters A4. I do not let anyone touch my cars but them. They teat you like family and always willing to help. No one is allowed to touch my vehicles but them. My 1st experience at the old location was a 5 and I wanted to try this shop, at new location, again and this is my experience. I tried to let them make it right by emailing them on Monday and waiting 4 days for a response and the only reply was an email on how my experience was. I even posted this on the feedback email and still received no response. I went to have a CSF radiator installed. I didn't mind the extra time they needed to complete the install but at the end of the day I was a little disappointed from what I found and even more so over the weekend when I saw what was missing and damaged. At the end of the day on the 28th , upon completion, when Giovan gave me the car there were 2 warning lights on display; one for airbag and one for brakes. It was obvious but there was no mention of it. I had given him a good tip but the face I saw wasn't a thank you face it was more of a "why?" It was getting late and I had to leave but noone was able to at least clear those codes upon releasing the car? I got home and while checking the engine compartment I found there was no washer fluid. Noone could've refilled the washer fluid? It was full when I brought it in. I had to clear those 2 warning lights myself. Over the weekend I decided to change my oil and upon proceeding to remove my skid plate I saw everything that was missing or damaged. ... there were 12 screws missing! On the passenger side of the skidplate 4 plastic trim screws were missing, driver-side of the skidplate 3 plastic trim screws were missing, 3 screws were missing on the front of the skidplate, and 2 screws were missing on the passenger side plastic cover wheel fender trim. When I was in the waiting room on the 28th, occasionally looking thru the window to check on progress, I saw the car up on the lift and something large fell. I didn't think anything of it until I went to remove the skidplate, over the weekend, and saw the front passenger corner was cracked and broken of the Alltrack skidplate. Nothing was mentioned. Possible reason for the "why" face? All I was asking in my email was to send me the 12 missing screws but nobody could be bothered to respond or at least send the screws so here is my review and experience. read more

Have nothing but good things to say about this shop....I was referred here by a friend (Henry) and man do I owe him for the plug lol! This guy Dion(owner) is A1 in my book...Very informative n knows his shit, I would definitely push the favor foward n refer as many people as possible....wouldn't take my car anywhere else,only complaint that I have is that he needs to open a shop nyc somewhere lol! Just a side note, when I finally got my car back, besides the oil leaks, I also had gotten a low oil pressure light on the way home. The car never had an issue with oil pressure prior to their 3 month, multi try repair. I'm adding this after reading a familiar story from another review on a different car with the same result. I was reminded by getting a notice of a useful review. If you do decide to use them, don't let them incrementally add additional repairs that they "find" that will promise will fix the issue, they nearly doubled the original estimate with these '"extras". They ended up uselessly replacing valve covers with brand new Audi valve covers, and it literally made no difference at all but did run up a $750 addition to their original repair. The faulty diagnosis they refused to own up to, each additional repair was the problem, and while there was no issue or leak from the valve covers, it made no difference. They did end up keeping the car in their shop a full 3 months. I know I'm sort of carrying a grudge over a faulty repair, but in reality at the time there was a lack of reviews and a couple of glowing recommendations and I'd like to save the next guy from falling down the rabbit hole with these guys. Also know that the owner seemed really nice, he gave me a good price on the initial repair, and kept sweet talking me along the way to $2700, unfortunately the original problem was not fixed and they introduced a bunch of new issues since they lacked the expertise to do a complex diagnosis and mechanical repair. If he actually fixed my original owner Audi, which prior to his touching it was really solid except for the one new issue, even at $2700, I'd be ok. But the estimate to fix what he did was $3600, and that kind of thing is pretty disheartening. Also the "nice" went away quickly when I put my foot down and noted I no longer trusted his mechanic to work on my car, as he left it with way more serious issues than when he first got it. I offered to pay for the parts but not labor as I still owned the parts, but the labor needed to be redone, but he would not budge. He did end up with an "F" rating from BBB but I guess he just didn't care. read more

Took my car (2010 Volkswagen GTI) here for a no start issue. They gave me an estimate on what the damages were and an estimate for parts and labor. I asked if that was definitely a d if I would have a running car afterwards. They guaranteed me yes. After over 4k I received my car with the oil light on and car driving sluggish. I called and explained. They told me to bring the car back in, as I did they verified that "problem, again" for the second time. Telling me I needed to get oil component(s) replaced, which will cost another 4k. I said no and took my car. They're very unprofessional and they throw parts at a car, hoping it would get fixed. They are liars and cheats. They take your money and don't do any work. They lost my trust. Do yourself a favor and stay away. read more

Tired of feeling like a cash cow? Stop going to the dealer to get your Audi serviced. I just saved a ton on front and rear pads and rotors, alignment, oil change, and tires. On a 2011 Audi A6, the dealer would have had a field day with my bank account. These guys are knowledgeable and it's clear that they care about their customers. Quality work, great prices, quick turnaround, and they'll even help get you a rental if you need one as they have a special rate with enterprise (I rented an Altima for$40 per day). Horrible experience. Dropped my RS4 off for new injectors and a carbon clean. They took over 2 months to get it done. Then I come to find out my fuel line was leaking after I inspected it when I got home, which they knew about but still didn't check it before letting me pick the car up. After going over the rest of the car I found they cracked my grill and didnt reinstall my belly pan. I also found a belly pan bracket came off the car and got hung up on a line under the car. The owner wanted to make things right by buying a new grill and belly pan and also fix the fuel line. After another month and half I got the car back yesterday only to find out the bumper wasn't installed correctly, a piece to the belly pan was missing and the fuel line is still leaking!! Never again. Strongly do not recommend this shop. read more

I had my van towed here for a dead battery and the kept it for a week .I find it funny they said the van was dead but it was parked on the street and then its was in the garage . First off I never write reviews for anyone, unless they are bad and piss me off. So this is my first positive review ever and it should say a lot. Please keep in mind they moved from Lyndhurst to Clifton, and they have been my #1 spot for anything to do with my car. I value great work and great customer service with a competitive price. These guys at drive auto hit that nail on the head, hands down. I had a decent amount of aftermarket work done and the smile on my face can attest to their quality. When I bought an already chipped GTI used, they were able to help me update the software and change its settings to my likings. Lost trust in this business primarily because they misdiagnosed a 'throttle body' problem I was having as the 'central command module' in my 2013 VW Jetta Sportwagon. It was causing my car to have the 'EPC' light to light up on my dashboard and occasionally the car would go into 'limp' mode. It is not the only problem I was having with this shop. The person that you will encounter there behind the counter there has a tendency to be a sarcastic type that makes you feel small and that is bad business in any business in my opinion. I happen to be in the office again today because they share an office with a wheel repair company called 'Static Coatings' and I was having some minor work done by them and when my work was complete and was leaving I was followed out of the shared office by the owner of the Drive Auto. He proceeded to have some words for me for sharing the negative experience I had with them last time with the misdiagnosed throttle body with another customer just outside of their office the last time I was there. He basically gave me a veiled threat that 'what goes around, comes around'. In my opinion, he validated what I had already begun to feel about his shop. If they don't want to get negative reviews, then they need to treat people better at the counter without the sarcasm and they need to stop misdiagnosing problems. I am entitled to my honest review. I am also entitled to share my review and make recommendations with others. This is the reason that I have given them 2 stars, I have had better experiences elsewhere. read more

These guys are so honest - I had my car brought in on a flat bed after I ran over a concrete wall - car was not driveable. they called the next day to tell me a bracket got bent and they unbent it - no charge. the car was not driveable and it felt as tho the steering column was destroyed, I will never go anywhere else. read more

5 stars because it's rare to find a shop that does good work and has integrity. I took my car in for some ECU tuning and a relatively minor repair. After the tuning and repair, some additional codes were thrown. Coincidence maybe? But at that point the car was not drivable and I agreed to a major repair. The guys over at Drive Auto Works spent the time ordering the part from Germany, disassembly, and removal of the intake manifold. In the end, it turned out to be human error related to the other repair. Many other shops and dealers would have just replaced the manifold and charged me for the repair.The guys over at Drive Auto Works owned up to the mistake and ate the cost. We're all human and mistakes happen, the easy thing would have been to look the other way and charge me for the time costing repair. Because they took responsibility for it and were complete upfront and honest they deserve 5 stars in my book. It's a rarity in the auto repair business to find those qualities. read more
