This started just about a year ago may 11 2011. Phil was my service rep nice guy. But unfortunately he wasn't honest neither are Fred nor Tony. So again I ordered two windows in may of last year. Was told I'd have them in seven weeks didn't happen. Called in periodically to check on updates none. My wife and I do love the product quality through and through. We still to date march 30th 2022 do not have our windows. We gave them $1240.00. During this extended time frame we did eventually communicate made changes and a few hurdles but were assured we would have them in a timely fashion. Here we are just about a year later get an email about what they feel is best and told to call in. Called in and as was the situation before all managers at 3 in the afternoon aren't there. So product great communication respect not there. No accountability everybody passes the buck. Last but not least the customer service reps that answer the phone act like we are bothering them to check on our investment the tone and answers are poor. Matt the sales rep is knowledge very well on his product i had about 15 customize Windows installed im very happy with the windows don't pay as much for heat either the windows are on the higher price range but for me it was a good investment for my money.The installers were also very knowledgeable of there work and both times they came to my home the cleanup was a big thing for me, but both time they were here everything was to my expectations thanks Euro Tech. read more

When purchasing any home there are always projects you like to do to improve your home. Our windows were old and drafty and needed replacement. Eurotech came out and gave us a quote that we decided to go with. When the workers arrived they were polite and immediately went to work They did an amazing job with the new windows and fitting them in place. From the outside looking in the windows look amazing like they were there when the home was built. When they walked away the job site was spotless. We did have one small issue but it was quickly fixed with no hassle. Customer service and communication great. Here we are a couple years later and we had a storm damage to our roof. We needed an entire new roof. Called out Eurotech once again. Looking forward to a new roof in a few weeks. If the roof goes as easy as the windows we will be in great shape. Euro Tech replaced 12 windows in my condo in May after I had done some research and decided to get Great Lakes windows. They also replaced my storm door in the kitchen. I had no problems with any part of the process and now that it is getting cold, I know that I made the right decision. No more cold house! Salesman, coincidentally, turned out to be a neighbor who showed me how warm my house could be by letting me visit his house with the same windows that I was buying from him on a zero degree day last February. Office support people were very nice whenever I called. I always got prompt, courteous responsiveness. Three very hard working installers came first thing on installation day and finished the job in 12 hours. Everything was cleaned up properly when they left. Euro-Tech just put a new roof and gutters on our home. The sales pitch was much longer than I expected, but after understanding the difference in quality, we signed on the dotted line. We were told our project would be complete in a day. The materials arrived on Friday and the installers arrived on Monday, but didn't start the job until 8:30 a.m. The project carried over to Tuesday, and the installers again started at 8:30 but didn't leave until they were done, almost 7:30 p.m. and pretty dark outside. It was not until Wednesday when I realized the job was not actually complete because our house had no down-spouts and there was a storm coming. My husband called the sales rep and was told not to worry, everything would be fine. The rain came and luckily passed without issue. The down-spouts were installed on Thursday and the project was considered complete by ET. Because then we started receiving calls asking for payment. When the rep pitched this project, he claimed our property would be left in pristine condition and we would never know anyone had been there. That statement is definitely not true. I walked the property on Saturday and picked up a grocery bag full of debris, ranging from nails to brackets to pieces of old shingle that were pulled off the roof. Then I came across a portion of my garden that had been completely destroyed by the installers. I am totally disappointed that this crew could not live up to the promise that was made and feel that ET should at least offer some type of reparation. The bill collector that keeps calling offered a blase apology and you could tell all she wanted was the cash. I really wanted to like this company because I know we have a few more outdoor projects in the years to come. But I won't be calling ET because I don't think they really care about their customers the way the advertise. read more

I would think twice about using Euro-tech ANYMORE nothing but issues from day 1 of the order (4 screen doors & 4 entry doors)NOT CHEAP EITHER taking forever to get and install them, to getting all 4 screen doors with same locks for 2 separate houses, to calling service dept for 2 months with NO ONE calling back and when someone finally called us back JEN the order was not put in for everything that both my husband and i were calling about (she never took my call) the doors are leaking and the whole frame is bad and the service manager JEN telling us it is preexisting and they closed our case without even letting us know. And we said we were not going to pay anymore and she said it doesn't matter we already got paid. Ask to speak to manager and she said she was and i said i want to speak to your boss and the owner and of course he was not in office. read more

I called Euroteck and was thrilled with the pricing and promise of satisfaction. They did a great job, needed to come back for a small tweek and came the very next day. Euro Tech called me on a Thursday and had their rep George out to see my on Saturday. He had a great presentation with a lot of visual items to show how their windows differed from the competition. The sales representatives engage in high pressure sales tactics to close the deal. The price offered during the time of sale is no good after the sales representative leave. Product pricing begins high and drops until the sale is made, making you feel like you are the winner. I contracted a new roof with the company, but I wasn't provided an installation date. After more than a month of waiting for the installation date, I phoned the company to find out what was going on. This became a frustrsting debacle. The office staff answering the phone couldn't answer my question, and no one else returned my calls. During my final phone call, I was told that my new roof installation was canceled by my sales representative Jennifer M. I contacted my sales representative, and she told me that if I wanted to move forward with the roof installation, I needed to pay an additional $4,000. To this day, they have not installed a new roof, nor have they refunded my 10% deposit, and no one from this company has reached out to me. read more

I attempted to schedule an appointment with Euro-tech for 12-18 windows. I was told all homeowners had to be there. When I told him this was not possible and I was a decision maker, among other things, he told me that it was a requirement from the Better Business Bureau for A rated companies. This is a lie. We had two interior doors installed by Euro Tech and while the product was fine, the installation was not good at all, especially given that we paid $5000 for the work. The installer was a bit unusual and made us feel uncomfortable. I had to clean up for him, both inside and out as he left nails and metal shards on our yard and we have dogs. He left gaps between the trim and the walls and cracked some of our trim. This is especially frustrating given our house was built in 1945 and that was the original trim. When we called our salesman about this, he said that he would have the original installer come out to fix his work. When we told the salesman that we were not comfortable with having him back in our house, the salesman stopped taking our calls and refused to return our messages. We would definitely NOT recommend them for any work around your house. read more

HOME OWNER BEWARE! SALES SCAM!!!!!! My first time posting a review on Yelp. Felt like home owner should beware of what they are getting themselves into. We wanted to replace 7 window in our house. Euro-tech was the 4th company came by. At the beginning of the appointment, we told the guy that we are not looking to make the decision at the same day we just want a quote and do the research before we make the final decision. The sales person just won't leave. The price drop from the original 16.5K to 10.7K in the 5 HOURS that he was in our house. At the end both my husband and I got worn down and agreed to signed the contract. It's our fault that we fell for the sales scam. The next day we did some more research for this company and the window they are selling. To be fair, the window is not a bad window. But the price is inflated. The salesman kept saying lifetime warranty on everything and lifetime transferable, which was a lie. The exterior paint only has a 10-year warranty and the warranty transfer become pro-rated for 50% starting 10 years and stops at 25 years. Because the lies and the bad review that we saw online, we decided to cancel the contract. By Wisconsin consumer protection law, to cancel the contract, we just have to send a writing notice to the business by the end of the 3rd business day. When I called to informed the company about the cancellation. They said by company policy, the cancellation has to be signed off by a sales manager that has to come to our house again! I don't need another salesman to come to my house and try talking me into not to cancel the contract and miss my deadline of cancelling the contract. What kind of company policy can exceed the law?They violated the law by misleading customer the wrong information. After I mention that to them, then they said, OK, you can cancel the contract. A company that built on top of high pressure sales tactics and lies is not going to last long! read more

Hi I was out front and a Jeff from Euro Tech approached me about roofing and windows. I need a new roof so I told him to send his company by. Greg came out, he told me that i have a house that needs 25 squares of shingles. Then he went through and showed me the proiducts and warranty of the roof 30 years complete replacement of roof under Tamco warranty. I had asked salemen if his company has a Illinois Roofing Contractors license, he gave me some number for the state license. I did ask about to see if they had a license in tcity I live in (it is required) He stated that they are licensed in both. I then asked about their roofing crew, I was told they are trained, certified and follow OSHA regulations. I finally did receive the price $23,000 which dropped to $18,000 in 5 minutes. So here are the issues My house requires only 17 sguares of shingles Eurotechs quotes is $14,000 more then others I have. I talked with Tamco and there shingle warranty is prorated and it is not a 100 percent replacemnet warranty. As the roof get older my replacemnet cost goes up. I called the state of Illinois and the local city and Eurotech is not licensed in either. As far as teh roofing crews I was given a address locally for a roofing job they were doing. I went by. They did not have a local permit which is required, the roofers did not have any fall protection and work out of a suv. They look like subcontractors, I was told Eurotech has their own trained roofing crews. I dont like to be told something that is incorrect, so I would stay away Jeff read more

This company uses high pressure in home sales. I believe their product is very good but their sales technique is, "sign up now to get this price" or leave it. We are cancelling our order within the 3 days allowed by Federal and state law. We are going to spend less than one third of their, "best, financed" 5 year, no interest cost and get name brand replacement windows instead of their product. The windows we are getting are the best for the money, all vinyl construction, according to another contractor. read more

This buisness was knocking on doors in my neighborhood. I agreed to an estimate on my roof and made an appointment. I was quoted a ridiculously high price and when I told their employee no they came back with an offer 6 THOUSAND off of the still high estimate. Over the next 3 weeks I recieve calls daily which I ignore until I get fed up with the calls. Upon answering the phone they explain a mistake was made and they want to send out a "manager" to rectify the situation. I reluctantly agree and make an appointment. When the appointment arrived the "manager" is a no show. Bottom line these people will waste your time or try to scam you with estimates. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

We have worked with this company for many years trying to resolve issues that come up. This current window concern started in April 2018 and is still not resolved (12/7/18). The latest chapter in this saga is that a staff person was at my home for a repair and broke the glass of the window. The window has been taped together for months as we wait for a replacement. It is now December and cold outside and the tape is not sufficient to keep my house warm. I am anxiously waiting for a return phone call to find out when the window can be fixed and the cold kept at bay. read more

We'd had four previous quotes on reroofing our ranch home ranging from suspiciously cheap to outrageously expensive. One quote was developed from a drive-by while another performed a home invasion lasting five hours. The Eurotech rep recognized our reluctance to suffer through another lengthy visit. His quote made sense, but what won our business were excellent loan terms and a qualification process that was performed in less than 10 minutes. As promised, the roof was finished in a day. Soffits, Facia and gutters ran three additional days but the scheduler and installers were always aware of forecast weather conditions and never started any task that would have left the home exposed to the weather unless they knew they would conclude in advance of any precipitation. A Euro-Tech representative was canvassing my neighborhood offering free quotes for various services. I agreed to get a quote on a new roof. An appointment was made for 6:30 pm the following day. The Sales Rep showed up at 6:20 pm, and the smartest thing I did was to not allow her into my home. She did her sales pitch in my driveway. I finally cut her off at 8:40 pm after she wanted to sit down inside my home to go over the quote. I politely declined and left her standing on the front porch. And by the way, the quote for the roof for a 1500 square foot house was over $25,000! When we declined (laughing), she said we needed to sign a paper saying that we were declining the offer. Needless to say, we did not sign, and will not be doing any business with this company. read more

Euro Tech came to replace a few windows and patio door for me. They arrived on time & did a great job installing the windows. I'm very happy with them and they're very easy to clean! This is a good company with great customer service. They took the time to answer all my questions. They were very professional and cleaned up everything when they were done. About a year later I needed them to come back to fix a patio door lock and they did so promptly and happily in accordance with the warranty. I would highly recommend this company! read more

Our experience is terrible. I wish I would have read some of these reviews. First we had a salesman come to show and demo their stuff which he was nice of course. When the sales told us about the trim we didn't understand that they were not able to put ours back up so we didn,'t understand what they meant we signed for white but we were given an opportunity to get a different color. After you sign an iron clad contract you cannot get out of after three days no matter what this job gets done. Run !!! The installer comes remeasured. Then they make your windows. When install day came we were given no choice for color until we spent 2 hours on the phone with them yelling we were given a choice. Then forced to take white anyway. Windows are installed now they look smaller than the ones we had less light great.... The vinyl is also marked up with gray scratches great. There are aluminum shards in my drive way that are sharp I have kids and tires. I would call and complain but I don't want them near my house again. The worst experience. There is no way to forget, I look up at my house everyday. read more

We had windows installed on the ground level of our house. Our previous window installation, on the upper floor, was from Champion. The Champion windows are very good, but the Euro Tech windows are superior in both design and quality. The installation was very professional and tidy. The following day this salesman comes with a brief case full of samples and then the sales pitch begins...after an 1hour and half later....Be aware of pressuring salesman that gets angry when we told him we were not interested in their financing. Its very sad to see these reviews from people that have not even done work with the company and yet have horrible things to say about there marketing tactics. How else do you hear about a company? They advertise. Now everyone cannot afford prime time spots for commercials. Unless of course you want them to raise their prices to accommodate such things. These people should be ashamed of themselves for what they said. Looks like a family run business just trying to keep the lights on and pay their employees by marketing face to face. As far as the pushy sales tactics that was not the experience I had at all. I can see why people would feel that way but I was in sales before and I understand that they just drove to your home and spent time with you, sometimes hours answering your questions and explaining the products. why would they want to go home empty handed. Dont you expect to get paid after a days work. It is a shame to see what these people have done to this companies ratings. My husband and I attended a home and garden show looking for info and quotes on repairs we know we need to do within the next 2 years. We asked for a quote on siding. We had a rep come to our house and quote us on a roof!!! Even my mother who was with us at the show thought they were suppose to quote us on siding. After 2 hours of listening to his product when we told him we were not looking for the immediate purchase of a new roof he gave us $23,000 quote on a small three bedroom house! After calling "his boss" of course the cost came down but we never even wanted to negotiate. We didn't even want a new roof! Argh! We just wanted the guy to leave and have 2 hours of our evening back. No quote that I have ever received before took 2 hours!!! read more

Do NOT employ this company. They charge a premium price for shoddy workmanship and do NOT stand behind their work. I had premium siding installed on my 2.5 car garage. The installers came late for 3 days in a row, hurried through the job, and the result was a poor-looking siding job. It took over 6 calls just to finally get someone out - and they sent the same surly guy who installed it poorly! He said he'd be back the next day to remedy the situation - that was over a month ago. I called 3 times to get someone out, but to no avail. My last call was on Monday, 11/3/14. The woman promised to get back to me "in one hour." I'm writing this on 11/6/14, and still no call. A Euro-Tech rep. came to my door soliciting home improvement services and we were both just in luck, because I needed some home improvement work done. When I explained the type of work I needed, I was assured that Euro-Tech would be the company to satisfy my home improvement needs, so, without hesitation, I scheduled the free estimate, with no obligation. I can't tell you how elated I was to hear that. My wife and I were discussing the repairs needed the moment the doorbell rang. It's as if the Lord himself was watching over us that day, listening to and then answering our prayers. I had lost sleep the previous three nights dreading the whole process involved in finding the right company for the job. With Euro-Tech on my team, I felt like anything was possible. As I followed up, I was disheartened to learn that those promises made on my doorstep were empty. I guess that the "no obligation" part meant that they aren't obligated to fulfill their commitment for the free estimate because when they called to confirm the appointment, they decided that my job was too small for them to keep their original promise. I was devastated but thankfully my wife was there to reassure me that there would be another company hot on their heels who wouldn't treat me like I was beneath them and their target demographic. I explained to Ashley that I had an estimate in-hand for $1,000, but apparently that didn't meet their cherry picked threshold because that's when they decided to cancel the free estimate. And to think I shunned away the other three companies that came by offering similar services. I really felt like I had been taken for a fool. I felt like one of numerous villains on the show A-Team who had been admonished by Laurence Tureaud (Mr. T). After feeling brushed aside by a company who knocked on my door promoting the opportunity for a free estimate, I called my village, and it turns out these guys didn't even have a permit for solicitation. This is where I truly became alarmed. Strangers gallivanting about town in shirts proclaiming they were a legitimate outfit had been on my property and at my door. Truly terrifying. I know $1,000 may not be a lot of money to Euro-Tech but it is to me and to my family. With a third child on the way, it's my responsibility to be fiscally wise while also maintaining the integrity of my home. It's a delicate balance. I am proud to be a home owner and I am proud to raise my family in this particular home. All I wanted was a company to perform these minor repairs so that my friends and neighbors could look up at the finished work with admiration at which point I could reply with a confident smile and a sturdy voice, "Euro Tech really came through. You should consider them for any unforeseen repairs your home may need down the road". I am huge on referrals. I understand the strength attributed to a positive experience and the power of word of mouth. Between my wife and I, we have 12 brothers and sisters and 47 cousins, all home owners, who have homes built in the 50's and 60's. We could have propelled Euro Tech into it's most profitable quarter in the history of the company. I really feel like this whole experience has been an eye opener. Had the Euro Tech rep not knocked on my door that day, I would have navigated to Angie's List and chosen a company who would respect me and my needs. Instead, I was the victim of a predatory operation where, not only did I fall for their pitch, I learned that I was less important than some of my neighbors who needed just a little bit more work done. This has really shaken my confidence. My wife looks at me like I'm a whole different person. When I look in the mirror I see a sadness in my eyes that wasn't there before. I really hope you guys stay off my property and get out of my town so that my friends and neighbors don't suffer the same fate read more

Started out great ended up unhappy with the professionalism of the company. Salesman was good said I would not get a Joe in a truck ended up instead with a Joe in van. They left garbage, lots of roofing nails in driveway and gutters. They damaged one gutter downspout and they did not say anything. Crew asked if they can use the bathroom did not know what to say so I let them use it. Five of them came in dirty to use the bathroom. It seemed like their team leader was in a hurry and did not take time to check the job. They also painted a stainless steel chimney stack black without verifying if we wanted it done. They were suppose to come back 5 days later to finish garage gutters and did not get a call until I called to see what was going on. They came 2 weeks later to finish project. Overall unhappy especially with the owners solution. Paid very good money for what they gave me.' read more

I had windows put in 20 years ago by this company and one became foggy between the glass panels. They came out and changed it for $120 under the "LIFE TIME" Warranty. I guess the payment was for the labor charge and the glass was covered. The Tech "Mike" did a good job. read more

When I called to make an appointment,they asked that the property owners be available at the time of the estimate.I explained that while I'm married,I was the property owner and they said okay and set up the appointment.The guy was late,didn't call to let me know he was running late.He asked if my husband was available and I told him no and explained that I was the property owner,not my husband and he told me he wasn't going to waste his time explaining anything to me because if my husband didn't like my choices he would have to come back out and do it all over again.So he wasn't going to waste his time! He told me to call when my husband and I could both be here with him. For the price of a new roof,I would think that they could come out twice if need be,and the guy gets paid to come out each time so what's he worried about? I guess they don't need my business and I'll be taking it elsewhere and I would advise others to do the same. In this day and age you would think a company wouldn't treat someone like "the little woman" but it just happened to me.I have to say I was pretty upset by this and when I called to complain the lady on the phone didn't care!She said we do ask for the home owners to be present and again I explained that I was and she said yes but your husband should have been there! They did a great job working on the windows, fascia and soffit, and gutters around my house. There was a small problem where the wind blew off the downspout on one side of the house, but they were able to come out and fix it for no charge under the warranty! I am very happy with their work and would recommend Eurotech to my friends and family! Thanks guys, great job! read more

EURO TECH install ten window that's so pricey seem like they have your arm and a leg for the product that's overrated,sales person so good seem like he's so concern about you and your family's,but in reality,he just want to get he's commission,I should read their reviews before I commit ,Windows have condensation,all the ten of them the next day.... I made the mistake of believing a sales pitch. First they are a General Contractor. This means the guys coming to your home are not Euro-Tech employees. Eurotech does not manufacture the product either. So what do they do? Sell, hold hands, answer questions, and schedule the install. In general they should be your point of contact and filter the information down to the subcontractors. Sales - see reviews below. you are not getting a good price. Below says +200% I'm thinking +150-175% is a more realistic number. Expect a minimum of 1 hour likely 2 hours for their pitch. Hand holding / answering questions. Expect at least a 4-5 hour wait to get a call returned or e-mail back. For what you're paying I would think you should get a bat phone. Scheduling - I asked not to have my roof installed until it was warmer (I also asked to have the furnace / water vent removed too) and was told they are so backed up now it would be the end of May before they could even think about doing the install. I did not want the shingles cracking in our cold Chicago weather. Guess what the install was PUSHED through on 4-4. It was cold enough to have very light furies yesterday (30's). I'm not a roofing expert but bending them will cause some to crack I know this because that's how the guy made the cap by simply bending 5-6 shingles until they broke over his arm. Cracks in things that hold water out sounds bad to me. The Install looks good (again not done by a Eurotech employee). The 6 guys were VERY polite. Back to the vent. I requested it to be removed. The salesman said no problem your estimate already includes 2 sheets of plywood or decking ... whatever. I get that it was an odd request but with my new furnace & hot water tank venting out the side of the house now it was logical to remove a hole in the roof. Long story short it was not conveyed to the subcontractor. I knew calling Kresta was only going to end in a v-mail so I e-mailed her (she's the project manager) at 9:14 in the morning when I realized they cut the felt paper (desert something) around the vent. At 11:53 am I got a call from the sales guy telling me to tell the foreman to make the change. He had no problem making the change on the fly (again not a Eurotech employee). Since they didn't use any wood I'm assuming the metal was just nailed to the roof with the hope of a sharp edge not cutting through. I'll need to climb in the attic to confirm. NOTE: If the sales guy seams overly prepared for every "no" there is a reason for it. run. I paid 10K for a 6K roof. I think 2 stars is way more then fair. read more
