After purchasing an expensive embroidered king size duvet set we got home and excitedly opened the item and laid it out on our bed. It looked nice but felt horrible! Scratchy, rough, abrasive fabric and poorly finished seams. Thinking it may have been starch or leftover chemicals from the manufacturing process we washed the set according to the directions. This made the fabric even worse. Prior to leaving the store we made a point of asking how to launder it properly.
At no time was the refund policy mentioned or explained.
Less than 24 hours after purchase I attempted to return or exchange it at the store. I was treated with outright disdain and was told they would do nothing for me. There was no attempt to help or even listen to what my complaint was. She went so far as to tell me there was nothing wrong with the duvet set and it was just "your opinion that it is rough."
The return policy at this store is horrible. Even if they do decide to "break policy" and give a refund there is a 25% "restocking fee". What a joke! Take your business elsewhere and reward good customer service and fair policies. Even the competitor in the mall has better service than this.
UPDATE: In response to the store's comment... I had call the MANUFACTURER of the duvet and deal with them to get a refund. At no time did Eurodown offer to even try and contact the manufacturer or offer any resolution. read more
