The Brick - this is how the brick in nanaimo behaves on delivery, trash everywhere, much of it blown down the street by the time of the photo.

Our family had just moved over 2000km to the island and we had "forgotten" the metaphorical glue that kept our brains together, our beds. This "accident" was not so much of a problem but an opportunity, but we were tired and beaten by the road... we were in no mood to go through the motions of being sold something that we've got a near collective 80 years of experience with. In and out, get the first bed that seems comfy was the plan. Thankfully we came across Roxy, as smooth as a merlot and welcome as that third shot of tequila, she helped us see the light and take the time to subjectively define the quality of a bed... Roxy not only educated us on the why of the what BUT saved us money... she even managed to make us smile the whole time. We'd decided to be miserable, she turned it around. Now we sleep warm and cozy at night, grateful to have had Roxy stumble across or weary heads in her showroom. Come all ye weary travellers, the Brick in Nanaimo will provide.

UPDATE: After leaving my review below, I get the automated response that is absolute BS related any comments or concerns stated. No we were not satisfied with the services provided. Disappointed with the after sale, delivery service. My father was waiting for a refrigerator. He was told he would get a call Friday before the delivery, to confirm the Saturday delivery and they would confirm a time. He never received a phone call at all on Friday regarding the delivery, he also never had a call today, Saturday regarding the delivery. Lucky for us, he was home at the time that the delivery truck showed up. He had to rush to empty his current fridge, which he would've had done, had he known when the team was showing up!! The delivery team that brought the fridge in and removed the old one was great, no disrespect to them, but the lack of a call to set up the time and date for the delivery and just showing up without a call to confirm that someone was home is extremely disappointing and poor customer service. Please do better in the future!!!

A potpourri of merchandise and services [Nanaimo BC]…read more This store is like a version of our Target Stores in the US. We walked around inside to pass time until closer to our movie start time at the Galaxy Cinema. Both are located inside the Rutherford Mall. London Drugs has everything from computer and electronics to grocery and beauty products to appliances and cleaning supplies but the pharmacy is the heart of their business. It has an interesting history behind it like how it got its name. The store was named after London, England, the home of Canada's King, George VI. Founded in 1945 it started off as a small drugstore to what they are now. We purchased some snacks to take home later. The shelves are fully stocked. So much snacks to choose from from chips to chocolates and other treats. The cashier employee was nice and friendly. Review #3165

It's just the prices aren't really appealing. Many simple items are more expensive than Walmart or Best Buy for example. It's hard to recommend because of that. Shop around before getting something here. I haven't tried their print services lately but in the past they weren't too great, nor were they cheap enough to be worth using again. There isn't much reason to shop here compared to the competitors.

I don't often write reviews, however following my recent visit to Home Depot, I felt compelled to…read moresay something. I was helped from a young man named William over in the tool area, and honestly, he was excellent. Even though he mentioned he had only recently begun working there, you wouldn't have guessed it. He showed great respect, something I rarely encounter these days, and he took into account what I needed instead of pushing me forward quickly. I had gone inside seeking welding supplies, assuming I roughly knew what I was after. But William made the effort to pose questions and ensured I actually had the proper equipment for the job--he knew his stuff. It turns out, I was short on some things I hadn't considered, so he certainly saved me an additional trip or two. That standard of care and genuine customer service leaves a lasting impression. He didn't regard me like just another face in line. He confirmed I got all that I needed before I went. For years, I've been visiting Home Depot, and moments like these serve as a reminder what keeps me coming back. It's beyond just the supplies--you enjoy service and assistance from individuals who genuinely care. William, though a young guy, he is certainly a valuable member of the team.

The tellers are supper friendly and have always been able to get me someone to help load the heavy stuff. I also find that even when I have a big heavy order like concrete bags, they still have a smile and good conversations while loading my truck. I do not recall ever, where the store did not have what I wanted or a better replacement for what I needed and to be honest I do not in any way see how anyone could only give them a two star rating. These people work hard and have always had a smile for me and always tried their hardest to help in any way possible.
