An absolutely terrible place to rent your car! Plan on them aggressively trying to get you to pay thousands of dollars on coverage and then they charged us a mandatory $5,000 guarantee! They stated we will get it back, but I cannot even tell you all that we have negatively experienced with them. Damaged vehicle, worst customer service ever, predatory company. Just overall, don't do it!

I may be the only one who had such an amazing experience but I have no complaints! Initially we were not going to take the rental car option with them merely because I had already previously booked for somewhere else, but the place that I had booked her not shown up yet so I went ahead and gave them a try. They were very fast to get one of the transportation vehicles there to take us to the rental car place and very flexible with price as well as car options. The return process was very easy and straightforward as well. Pull the car in, go to where the return is. They immediately came and investigated the car. We had to have been out of there and back on the return bus within 10 minutes. Super easy. The only reason why they got a four-star instead of five is because I felt a little uncomfortable with the check in process but otherwise, I would definitely book with them again.

The worst car rental place ever!!!!! If I could leave a 1 star I would!!! Alejandro had enough nerve to ask for a review, well, here it is! Never ever rent from here! They are a bunch of scammers. Gabriel is supposedly the "manager" and he was no better! Long story short, my family and I had our reservation already booked straight through Europcar. It was not through a third party!!!! In our reservation we had already paid for BASIC insurance. Once we arrived to get the rental, they said they couldn't find our reservation. Then once it was "found" they then said we had to pay for insurance through them. Again, we already purchased basic insurance through them, NOT A THIRD PARTY. So basically they thought we were going to pay for insurance TWICE! If you didn't pay for insurance through them for 400+ for full coverage, then they want you to leave a deposit of 12,000 dollars USD! Who the hell is leaving a 12,000 deposit for a car that cost that much??? These people really think they are smarter than a lot of people, but um, NO! I wish I would've read the reviews before making a reservation. Please don't rent from this place!!! Again, Gabriel & Alejandro were the worst!

FINGER AWAY for europcar Ripped off, Cheated and Mistreated It charge the double price and not answer until today My boyfriend and me made a previous reservation with europcar mexico, in which we were guaranteed the following price MXN 5,498.20. When we arrive to the Cancun Airport, the staff didn't allow to my partner and me to enter together to finish the car contract, even though I explained to them that my boyfriend does not speak Spanish. therefore I made very clear to the person who attended us that we did not want any additional service or insurance and my partner was very clear that we did not want to receive any extra service Days later we discovered that the card had been charged double the amount initially agreed when the reservation was made, Europcar booked a total of MXN 10361,12. (APPROX. TWICE MXN 5,498.20) when we delivered the car, I explained to the person who received it that we had a claim, but he told me that first we had to deliver the car, closed the contract and then we could talk to the person in charge of the office and so we did. When we finally were able to talk to the office manager Santiago Bote, the first thing he told us was that unfortunately we could not make any claim because we had already closed the contract, even though I had told the worker that I had a claim. Then I asked him to show me the contract and the extra values to understand why the value was doubled, and the only reason he gave me was, that my partner used a card that was not a credit card and for that reason the value increased, however no one explained to my boyfriend in the moment he has rented the car that this would be increased the value of the car, since he has several credit cards with which he could have made the payment. my boyfriend assured me that no one explained to him about the extra cost and he repeated again that he doesn't want any extra insurance or service. The reason that the value was doubled because we used another card is completely false, in the confirmation email we received it only said that "if the credit card with which you paid your reservation is not the same as the one you will present for the guarantee retention, the office will charge $10 MXN to verify that it is active, returning this amount the next day", and yet the extra cost they made was MXN 4862.92 which until today has not been returned

Published low daily rental rate but charge you about a $100 a day for insurance and $500 deposit. No one was in the office during return. The workers that were washing the returned car rental had to contact someone. They will email you photos of the car with some of it are inconsistent. Such as the gas tank with phot that did not have a red sticker of what type of gas should be put in and ours does have a sticker

My reservation L50305859C7, was booked to be picked up on April 2. While I was on my flight to the destination, our plane had to make an emergency landing which caused us to miss our connecting flight outside of my control. I called hertz corporate number and informed them of the situation and they informed me that they would notate it on my account so that my reservation would remain the same and I would just pick up at the airport 1 day late. When I arrived in Cancun on the morning of April 3rd, I explained the above information to the receptionist. They called the manager who said they would resolve it and just said to get on the shuttle and come to the hertz office. When I got there, I explained the above-mentioned details to the clerk who stated my reservation was in the process of cancelling and I could only start a new reservation: at 7 times the original booked rate. I asked to speak to a manager; a taller gentleman in his early 40s. He became immediately dismissive and said there was nothing he could do for me and began acting extremely rude and unprofessional. He then became rude and dismissive to my pregnant wife who was standing there with my 6 and 8 year old children. When I called him out on that he immediately became PHYSICALLY defensive and walked around the counter getting in my face in a manner as if he wanted to FIGHT me. All of this was in front of my pregnant wife who was sobbing and my children who were also crying at this point. He then had to be PHYSICALLY RESTRAINED by his co-workers. When I asked for his name he covered his badge and refused to show me. He was a larger Hispanic male with short hair in his 40s. My wife and children and I then left on foot to walk to find a different rental car company. I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of professionalism demonstrated by this "MANAGER". As a professional who works in law enforcement, I was appalled by his behavior. Stay away from this company.

They lie about how much gas was initially in the car and then charge you an exorbitant amount for the (small) difference, even though we returned the car with more gas than when we received it. We carefully took videos of the outside of the car to ensure we avoid them scamming us for fake damage on return, but didn't think to take a picture of the gas tank display since it's written on the rental agreement, only for them to completely disregard that (like the ignored the terms in their own reservations).
