Everybody knows how nerve recking it can be when you found out something can be wrong with your car, and even more nerve recking when you try out a new place, but this auto repair shop was excellent. When speaking with John on the phone I instantly felt comfortable with my car being in there hands. The were very friendly, professional, and honest. I felt like I was going to my own families shop. I will definitely make the trip from Manhattan when ever there may be some thing wrong with my car, or even a simple oil change. They definitely have themselves a new customer.

However, I had come to the point where I felt that I didn't have many (or any) options anymore with my 2006 Subaru. I can not afford a new car with soaring interest rates and to buy another used car just means I would be inheriting someone else's "unknown headaches!" I NEED my car to perform my job and my Front end components became Dangerous! Seriously, it was about to either leave me stranded on the road or "6-feet Under" it! I decided to listen to my buddies and take my car to Eurotech in Larchmont. IDO and his team are unlike ANY other auto repair shop I have encountered downstate (I have a good 25+ year friend upstate who also is an amazing mechanic, but too far away.) Nevertheless, Ido, Ashley and the Eurotech Team are now my Number One "GoTo" for Any and ALL auto repairs. My car needed A LOT of work. I actually brought it back the following week to do additional unrelated, but desperately needed repairs and there are still some additional things that need to be addressed, but my 2006 Subaru already feels like a much newer car from behind the steering wheel now. I accidentally damaged…read morethe side of my father's truck when I made a turn too tight and rubbed a pole which was sticking out too far onto the street, scraping the bedside. I chose them because I mistakenly believed they were the best. Before I even discuss the lousy quality of work they did, we spoke to them beforehand and they promised discretion if we paid cash out of pocket, no insurance involvement, and we were clear on that, so we paid cash in full. Fast forward a few years later, my father wants a new truck, so he goes to the dealership and they say there's an accident on record. We were wondering how that's possible, so they show us the Carfax and there it is, the damage Classic Auto "fixed". After saying it would be repaired with discretion, they turn around and stab us in the back, greatly devaluing the truck. I don't understand how anyone can trust a business that so blatantly lies and causes further issues with their customers. Why would anyone bring their vehicle here knowing that you're going to turn around and report even the slightest bit of damage to insurance and devalue their vehicle??? To lie and stab a customer in the back like that is disgusting and unprofessional. On top of that, the work was subpar! The paint was not a great match, one was clearly able to see the difference in the bed of the truck as opposed to the cab, especially in the sun. I've seen work from other shops where the paint was such a good match, you couldn't tell the difference from the repaired panel to the original panel right next to it. For the money I paid, I expected much better. I could have brought it just about anywhere else and paid less, elsewhere probably would have done a better job too, and they wouldn't have turned around and reported it to the insurance company when it was agreed they wouldn't. This is a dirty, deceitful shop, anybody would be a fool to bring their vehicle here. I only wish I knew how bad this place was ahead of time. Future customers, you are warned, if you want lousy mismatched paintwork, come to Classic Auto! Good luck trying to get decent resale value for your vehicle when you try to sell it or trade it in, because no matter what Classic Auto tells you or how you pay, they'll make sure insurance knows and your vehicle history will be ruined.

I've taken my car there three times and told nothing was wrong, no charge (where else are you going to get that???). One (rare) time I took my car there and they put the left-sensor on, when the right sensor was the malfunctioning one - again, fixed no charge. Yes, a mechanic is going to be expensive, but taking your vehicle to someone disreputable is going to be even more expensive. Bert's has been family owned for 60+ years, and there's a reason - he takes care of his customers, AND their vehicles.
