Read about this bakery on Nextdoor and decided to check it out on an early Sunday morning. Loved their savory spinach feta croissant w/fresh hot coffee and the day old goodies are a great price.

I finally got to try European Delights and I was impressed! I came on a weekday with my daughter when they first opened, and we ordered a few pastries. My first impression as we walked into the store was the aroma of freshly baked bread. We wanted to order everything! We ordered 3 patties and this is what I had: -Ham, Bacon, and Cheese Croissant 5/5: This was our favorite! It was warm, fresh, and well-balanced. Every bite was the perfect bite. We came back and ordered a second one. It was that good! -Blueberry Scone 4/5: I loved that the scone was not too sweet. It had a great flavor, I only wish it were warmer. I would order it again though and take it to go to warm up at home. -Mango Muffin GF 3/5: This was our least favorite. It was very dense and a bit flavorless. It looked delicious through the glass but it wasn't what we expected. Overall the pastries here are fresh, flavorful and there are many options. This will be a go-to bakery from now on. I can't wait to stop by again and order more items.

Just went to European Delights, again, with my sister who's visiting from out of town; she loved the place. Their pastries are so incredibly delicious, and their prices are very reasonable as they make everything right there. We spoke with the new owners; they're so nice and still family owned; they said they're keeping everything the same and may add a few things in the future. They still have "day olds", right next to the register, $10 for a togo container full of pastries; it's a great deal for pastries still fresh and made one day before. If you haven't tried these delicious, gourmet, freshly made pastries, please do, and if you've been there before, please go again; its so nice to support a local small family owned business!

Such a cute mom and pop bakery! It's close to where I work, so I had to try it. Everyone there is very friendly which makes for a homey vibe! The selection of pastries is EXTENSIVE- I had a hard time picking one, but so glad I went with the hazelnut croissant. It was soft and the filling was very flavorful (not too flakey/crispy if that's what you're going for). And my iced latte was a classic, but if you like your coffee on the sweeter side don't forget to add sugar. I'll definitely be back soon and can't wait to try the spinach and feta croissant!

I've long wished for a quality bakery a reasonable distance from our neighborhood. With the discovery of European Delights in the Citrus Shopping Center of Walnut Creek my wish has been granted! Owned by a Romanian brother and sister, all their baked goods are made from scratch in the old European manner. The resulting items are like an All-Star team featuring the best from different European countries: croissants from France, strudel from Germany, cannolis from Sicily, etc. We've tried these so far and have never been disappointed: Almond and Guava Croissants, Cinnamon Roll, Apple Strudel. I especially love their butter croissant, so buttery and flaky it almost melts in your mouth. They have a small sitting area perfect for relaxing with fresh baked goodies and their delicious coffee. Delivery is also available via Uber Eats. This place is a hidden gem, I'm so glad we discovered it!

The inside of the fantastic apple strudel

European Delights has the best apple strudel I've ever tasted. The apples are sliced paper-thin and layered throughout, creating a wonderful texture in every bite. The dough is exactly what you want from a strudel: flaky on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Ask them to warm it up for you. They have several other apple treats (apple cinnamon rolls, apple brioche) that are similarly fantastic. The pistachio croissant is another standout. It's filled with a delicious pistachio paste studded with whole pistachios for a little crunch, plus a hint of Belgian chocolate. I've never tasted anything quite like it. What really makes this place special is the atmosphere. The owners (a brother and sister duo) take time to chat with regulars, and it gives the bakery a genuine neighborhood feel that's hard to find. There's seating if you want to stay and enjoy your pastry with a coffee. This is the kind of small, family-run spot that deserves to thrive. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

I'm so fortunate to have this delightful local cafe in my neighborhood. Thank you for supporting free Iran.

Receiving a texted coupon for 15% off my order, I was excited to use it since I needed a birthday cake. Though there was an online code, I could not use the discount online. I called the shop several times, but there was no answer, and I even left a voice message but never heard a call back. Finally I noticed there was number on the website to text so I did, and got a response. The response was that it was too late to order the cake, and the coupon couldn't be used online ordering system because the online ordering system was different from what was used in the store. BUT I was told I can still call my order in and pay in advance over the phone to get the 15% discount if I still wanted cupcakes, and if the store didn't answer, the person sending the text said he/she would contact the store. I appreciated that kind gesture. The next morning, I settled for cupcakes and decided to call the order in and pick up the cupcakes in the afternoon since I had no time that morning to go to the store. But lo and behold, I called and again no one answered. I texted the same number from the day before and a response came back that they would contact the store to give me a call. I checked in by calling the store two more times and still no answer. And no one called back that afternoon either. Sadly, I had to give up, but was glad to give business to a way more responsive bakery with delicious cakes.

My gosh. So welcoming. So proud of the shop, its products and their leadership. I hope the owners know. First timer here and I spent $52. Readers: the $52 was completely worth it as soon as we took a bite of the passion fruit mochi. Heaven sent. It's akin to Kailua's Bits & Bites on Oahu. Please don't ever close. Please stay open longer. This is the first time I've tried this after wanting to visit for so many years. I work full time andddd I live in 707 so it's a little bit of a trek out here. I'm big big big on energy and customer service and you both broughttttt it. In order to find good matcha I usually have to go out to Berkeley or SF but decided to give this spot a try considering my friend was visiting from Oakland. Upon arrival, I appreciated the parking available for customers. However after noticing some workers were cleaning up, we quickly realized we had actually came ten minutes before closing! We felt so bad so we rushed in to place our order as quickly as we could. We noticed as one of the workers were getting ready to close the main door, she was a bit rude to the other worker seemingly about doing other closing tasks. We overlooked this but were glad the other kind worker welcomed us in. I ordered mango matcha and my friend ordered a strawberry matcha which were great choices! However, I was glad I chose mango! I think their recipe definitely is better than other competing matcha spots in the area. As we waited for our drinks we noticed the cute sign they had! Definitely a nice touch to the shops ambiance. As we were getting ready to leave, the kind worker who took our order even asked us if we wanted any of their leftover pastries! We chatted and she mentioned how they were closing for a week long summer break. My friend and I picked pastries based on how they looked, and she even proceeded to tell us a bit about the flavors they had. Although I don't consume gluten free products myself, this was definitely a plus for other customers who might. When we got to the car we tried some pastries. I fell in love with the churro pastry and my friend enjoyed the muffin with seeds on top (reference picture included). Now, I will definetely be coming back and getting their pastries and matcha, thanks to that amazing worker! (wish I caught her name)

The location is easy to get to, with lots of parking behind in a lot, and it's very clean, with lots of chairs and tables; yet all were filled this Saturday evening, which is a good sign. There are too many pastries, treats, and drinks to even cover, and we spent a few minutes trying to find our choices, which you mainly pick from cabinets using a self-serve tray and tongs. For drinks and cake (whole or sliced), you order those at the counter. We decided on some pastries, some cake slices, and a drink. And S'mores was the predominant theme today. We ordered a raspberry fruit bite, 2 chocolate supreme croissants, 2 S'mores Belgian waffles, a sugar mochi donut, a coffee donut croissant, 2 slices of S'mores chocolate marshmallow cake, and a slice of rainbow cake. We also got the cream cheese puff and the crème brûlée bombolone ... quite the name! And, of course, a S'mores frappe! The server helping us at the register was polite and efficient, but there was only one register open and a long line. As such, other folks were helping gather the goodies from the cake case, and as we were taking these to go, we did not realize until we were home that the rainbow cake was not a rainbow cake, but a THIRD slice of S'mores cake. Ugh. That one was chosen by the 8-year-old, who was understandably not happy, and the additional insult of paying extra (above the cost of the S'mores) for a cake we didn't get made ME unhappy too! Paid $8.29, got a $6.99 cake slice. The pastries are generally good, with some very good and some more of a "meh." Among the best were the raspberry fruit bite and the coffee donut croissant. That coffee one was a surprise, as it had a soft liquid filling we didn't realize when buying, and the taste was very coffee, which I loved. Will get that again for sure. The S'mores chocolate supreme croissant was also popular. The crème brûlée bombolone was different, with a light pastry and a filling different from what I usually find in crème puffs, and it was tasty. The waffles were not a light and airy as we would have liked, but the flavor was good. The mochi donut was a bit dry as well, not up to true Japanese bakery standards, and the cream cheese puff was all puff and short on the cream cheese (see photos). And the S'more cake was good for flavor, very rich and S'morey, but the presentation really is lacking. Not that I normally compare one chain to another, but for example, when we get Crumbl, the product is very close to the advertising. Not so with the S'more cake, and I am not even sure all the layers were there and in the proper order or proportion; check out the photos and see what I mean. However, the flavor was spot on, and that is the ultimate goal, although the "eyes eat first," as we Yelpers know! And the highlight was not a pastry or cake, but the S'more frappe. It was layered beautifully, fresh-tasting, and very S'morey (yes, a new word I now love!). We even got a second, as we had to eat this there so it could be shared by the group, and it was calling us! Definitely hope it is available next visit, and Starbucks could take a lesson in quality versus price point. Some of the pastries here are really not worth the cost for the product (would skip the cream cheese puff, for example, and the mochi donut), but everything else was very good. Other than an error in fulfilling the order correctly and a couple a poor pastries (quality), it was a good first visit, and we all would come back when near a location.
