The rose flavor was so perfect and subtle, the milky cream around the ice cream was delicious, and the pistachios added the perfect balance. The ice cream was so flavorful. This will probably be my new craving spot because of how much I enjoyed the very well seasoned dolmas The watermelon lychee was refreshing and the mango smoothie tasted so well rounded with the dates and nuts. Kabul Icy was delicious and a pleasant surprise! I was a bit disappointed when the previous business closed down, and I'm so happy this place opened. The location is clean and the staff is friendly. They do their best to accommodate requests. I ordered a Baklava while we waited for our drinks, and one of the workers asked me if I wanted black tea for free with my Baklava. She came back with a small cup of hot black tea that paired perfectly with my pastry. The baklava was not too sweet and very flaky. It was a bit cold but overall it was great. I would order again. We also ordered two drinks and they were delicious! We had the Golden Puff Banana and oh my! Perfection! It is sweet but just enough, creamy and flavorful. If you love bananas, you would love this drink! The drink that surprises me the most, and I can't wait to have again, is the Mango Orange Oolong. This drink was refreshing, sweet, and just perfect. The tea is not overpowering and has a good orange flavor. Overall, the drinks here were delicious! They also have Kabob specials and next time I am there, I will for sure give them a try. Came for dinner. Food was awesome I had the chicken stripe. Petfectly cooked with super crispy batter. H had chapli and ground beef on stick. We shared the garbanzo/potatoe salad. Yum. Almost no where in contra costa has that salad on menu. Soo much food. Will be back to try desserts. read more

Came here for breakfast this time. They serve breakfast now. We did the egg plate and the turkish platter along with the pink qaimak tea. Must say i was skeptical at first when i heard they have breakfast and named it afghan turkish breakfast but it was soo delicious! I love a good egg mixed with spices and tomatoes. The drink was delicious as well but it has a lot of nuts so if you don't like nuts make sure to tell them ! I would give it 5 starts but the reason for 4 stars is that the qaimak and jam on the platter is way too smalll ! they need to give more portions of qaimak and jam. read more

We tried the Sheeryakh and Zhala, overall it's an extremely elegant dessert. floral, nutty, flavors you would not typically encounter and definitely something everyone should try at least once. Not sure if we went there on an off day but the service was incredibly slow and we were the only people in the place. 2 of our meals came out after waiting 40 mins. We had to ask them for the other 2 meals and that total time for those to come out was an hour. The food was burned and dry when it came out. If you come here, skip the food and just get dessert! read more

I've been going to Kabul icy treats in Fremont for years, so I was thrilled they opened a location in concord. The sheer yakh (Afghan ice cream) here is amazing. I live 30 minutes away and drive here sometimes if I crave it. It's not just the best Afghan ice cream I've ever had, it's the best ice cream. It's not too sweet, they top it with pistachios, and they also serve it authentic style Zhala if you want the glass noodles on top. Highly recommend this to anyone in the concord area. read more

However, the service was pretty disappointing. The wait time for each dish was really long, and the whole ordering process felt very unorganized. What we were served felt more like three mini scoops of vanilla ice cream with crushed pistachio and rose water for $10. Real Sheeryakh is made by simmering rich milk with sugar and fragrant cardamom and then slowly freezing it, often in ice salt churns or molds, to create its signature creamy yet slightly Softserve-like texture and aromatic flavor. The Jhala also used Chinese cooking noodles, lol, instead of the traditional rice based seviyan, which are similar in shape to vermicelli but have a softer and slightly slimier texture. For those who have never had the traditional version, this may come across as a convenient alternative and might explain the positive reviews, but it entirely missed the mark. read more
