Morning bread
Sandra V.

While my mom was getting her pedicure I stopped by here to get some bread to go and coffee. Their bread is delish. This time I did try their cloud mango cake. Loved it! The bread was moist, the homemade cream was creamy and delish with little mango chunks . I also decided to try their tiramisu latte. It was so good, creamy chocolateee smooth with a coffee kick, and the homemade whipped cream was so good. The tiramisu latte was so good I had to go back to get a second one as I gave my mom some to try and she loved it, lol. Service was great too, very friendly. The ambiance is fa French bakery with light earthy colors not too bright or dim. There's plenty of seating looking out the window. Parking is in front of the store too.

The blueberry cream cheese danish was good, it really was cream cheese, so if you're looking for the gasoline station danish (YOU KNOW THE ONE), this is a little different. I also asked for the Honey Lavender matcha latte as a frap and it was so delicious! You can really taste the honey, which is sometimes overpowered at other drink places. The person who helped check me out was nice and friendly and got my order ready promptly. It got busier when I got there, but there are plenty of seats! I ordered for pick up, and unfortunately I didn't notice that there was hair in one of the pastries I ordered until I got home. I would try this place again, but won't be ordering ahead of time so that I can make sure there isn't any hair.

Amazing spot! It's small, but welcoming. The options are amazing, from coffee, to matcha, to cream filled bagels and other desert like treats. The line moves fast, and the seating is beautiful looking. They should make one of these in downtown sac! It would do numbers for sure

Cute little cafe that serves up Asian inspired baked goods as well as traditional flavors. We've gotten cakes here twice and they were delicious! The staff was very helpful offering candles and Happy Birthday signs for the cake. The other pastries looked tasty too. We'll have to come back and try them.

Love tous les jours! Amazing pastries- various milk breads, croissants, cream donuts, sandwiches, and so much more. They have whole cakes here which you can order online or in person. Had no issues the multiple times I needed a cake. They have their standard ones and holiday cakes. So cute and not too sweet. They also have some seating and the place is rather clean. The staff have been so helpful, answering questions re the cakes since some aren't so clear on what's exactly inside. There are also drinks, such as coffees and matcha and so much more. I'd def study here with a couple amazing pastries and a beverage or two if I were a student and lived close by. Oh, they also have these corn cheese donut puffs that are amazing too. Yum all around here.

I didn't know this location was in Pleasant Hill, after liking the Livermore and Dublin locations. This location is a bit smaller than the ladder, but has a decent selection and is in a good spot with plenty of parking. If you're looking for something savory or sweet, or a range of hot or iced beverages, give them a try. If you're looking for certain items, you can ask the bakers and they'll, at times, surprise you and bring what you are looking for. I will say, in this location, the cashiers are not as sociable or welcoming. They often do not greet you with a smile, and appear to just be trying to get the transaction done, and they just place your drinks on the counter without calling out your order- very strange. A decent spot for quick pick ups, in a clean location. The prices are higher than necessary, but pieces can be individually packaged if you are buying for a larger group. Their cakes are pretty, but pricey, and I've not tried them to see if it's worth the coin. Test them out for yourselves to see if you like the vibes. Be warned about the anti-social cashiers though.

Chocolate dipped waffle, strawberry cream donut, kimchi croquette, and a garlic cheese bread

Always walked past this but decided to drop by one night on the way back home and I will be coming back! This shop is located in a small business plaza with plenty of available parking and it's right on the corner of the plaza so foot traffic isn't bad at all outside. The inside is well kept and meets a nice cafe aesthetic. I usually go to other places looking for cream puffs but they can be so out of the way, but i was glad to find the pack of cream puffs here and try them out! I tried the normal cream puffs but they have some with chocolate shells as well. I honestly had to limit myself, there were so many fun pastry options! I came around 8-9 and grabbed the last croquette which was the kimchi flavor, but they also have other flavors as well. I really LOVE the variety of pastries here, all the savory and sweet alike were very tasty. The flavor and the texture of the baked goods are all great. I really appreciate that the pastries are not overly sweet but also still flavorful. Everything is decently priced in my opinion but definitely more expensive than other bakeries in the area. I honestly have no complaints! This place is great :) great hang out spot for drinks, a drop by for quick sweets/desserts, and much more! Looking forward to coming back again soon!

Visual disappointment *.* Cream-filled Donuts: Mango, Strawberry, Pistachio
Noraa A.

I had a roller coaster moment of feelings about this visit to Tous Les Jours! I was happy to venture out into the rain to go to Tous Les Jours thinking that they would have some of the cream filled donuts due to the inclement weather (rainy weather typically means less customers to contend with )! I was even happier to walk into this bakery of delectable delights to see that indeed the cream filled donuts were available!!! The white speckled sugar coated donuts all looked enticing behind the transparent glass sliding doors, all topped off with their beautifully piped cream hats of flavor representation- mango, pistachio, strawberry, matcha, vanilla ... (pastry conundrum of what to get!!! ) The lucky cream filled donut flavors picked: mango, strawberry, and pistachio. (Mind you, these looked stunningly delicious to get your tastebuds wet, even though you are no longer out in the rain!) The nice TLJ staffer packed the goodies nicely (so I thought). The packaging for the baked butter buns and cream filled donuts arrived to the gathering safely! Eyes were on the beautiful TLJ box ... ... Opened to a visual disappointment!!! I was let down and felt betrayed! The cream filled donuts' beautifully piped tops were no longer visually appealing, but a rather messy smushed gob of cream abuse!!! I was also disappointed that the box top tasted it before my friends and I did!!! How rude!!! TLJ please do better in prepping your cream filled donuts for transport!!! Perhaps use a cake slice to-go box? After having to apologize and tell my friends that the cream filled donuts looked good in the bakery (with a Pinky promise! ), we each partake in a sugary chorus of creamy filled euphony of moans and groans. The creaminess of the filling, light and flavorful, tantalizing all of our tastebuds!! One lucky friend even swiped the TLJ box lid for cream remnants that didn't make it all the way with the donut part! Happy to finally get a chance to purchase the cream filled donuts. Disappointed in the visual after transport and unboxing to share. And happy to enjoy the flavorful pastry. Can't wait to go back for more scrumptious treats!!

Walking into Tous Les Jours for the first time almost took my breath away! Being a bakery fanatic, I'm shocked that I've never been here before. I've had friends tell me about the Blueberry Cloud Cake in the past and I never had the chance to try it. Gosh, I was so excited when I first walked in. I really enjoyed how clean & aesthetic the store was. Simple store design allowed for the pastries and cakes to speak for themselves. I was in love with the way the savory items were laid out next to each other. I also really enjoy a self-serve bakery. The prices weren't too outrageous either, especially considering that everything is made fresh. What really caught my eye was their fruit flavored soft breads. We grabbed a Honeydew Melon Soft Bread and a Banana Soft Bread. Both brightly colored soft loaves filled with cream that was flavored to their respective fruit for only $3.95 each! I was pleasantly surprised with how delicate the bread was and how much structure the cream filling had. The fruit flavor stood strong and the bread had just the right amount of sweetness. We also got one Portuguese Egg Tart. Oh my goodness- it was caramelized to perfection and the custard itself was so soft and nutty. The layers of the pastry were incredible. The cashiers were quite neutral and probably see people constantly in awe by the products all day long, so I'm sure they're used to it. They definitely are efficient and will start ringing up whatever is on your tray while you're looking at all the goodies they have on their counter. I'm convinced that everything they have to offer is absolutely delicious and I will absolutely be back to try every single item.

Pumpkin spiced latte

Stopped by Tous Les Jours in Pleasant Hill and absolutely loved it! The space is bright, welcoming, and filled with the most tempting display of pastries it's impossible to choose just one. I tried the Iced Pumpkin Latte and the Iced Tiramisu Latte, and both were fantastic. The pumpkin latte had that perfect balance of spice and sweetness festive without being overpowering. This was hands down the best pumpkin flavored coffee I've ever had. After trying the tiramisu latte I know why it was a finalist for the 2024 coffee awards. It was smooth, creamy, and just indulgent enough. It was so dang good! For pastries, I grabbed the Chocolate Pretzel and the Sausage Foliage (a savory pastry). The pretzel had a nice balance of flaky texture and rich chocolate flavor, and the sausage pastry was buttery, warm, and satisfying a great savory option to pair with coffee. Service was friendly and quick, and everything tasted fresh. Whether you're stopping in for a quick coffee or planning a cozy pastry break, Tous Les Jours is such a great addition to Pleasant Hill. I'll definitely be back to explore more seasonal drinks and pastries!

I'm obsessed with this little bakery! The pastry selection is amazing with so many sweet and savory options, from the cutest little pastries to sandwiches and hot dogs. I love the concept: you walk in, grab a tray, tongs, and gloves, and browse the aisles opening the little cabinets to pick whatever (and however many) you want, then bring your tray to the counter to pay. They also have a café for hot or cold drinks and a bakery section with beautiful ready-made cakes. The whole place has the cutest, slightly luxe French café vibes, and the staff at the counter are always so nice and welcoming. I've been here a few times already and I'll definitely keep coming back -- I seriously love this place!

Vanilla Cream Donut

A solid alternative if you enjoy the Paris Baguette vibe, granted it is also another French inspired Korean bakery chain. Being that it tries to differentiate itself from Paris Baguette I would say the differences are mainly in some of their flakey pastries (butter pastries) where they had a Yuzu Pie and their danishes had a nice cross weave pattern that visually looks appealing Of the various things I saw I would say the most impressive was the Egg Custard Pastry, despite many Cantonese places have this the buttery-ness of the flakey crust was definitely decadent without being overly oily The other items were okay if I were being honest, it's less wow and more just a visually striking piece. The Yuzu pie was light on the yuzu flavor and honestly tasted like sugar with some yuzu infusion. As for the guava danish I would suggest going to a well known Cuban bakery in LA if you want a good one, the guava was muted in flavor and more aesthetic than taste I would say as a whole it's a great place but given that there's so many outstanding bakeries in the Bay Area that are worthy of your attention this one doesn't quite strike as a must go to but a nice to check out, simple decor, and a quaint seating area The appeal this place would draw is likely their selection of pre-made cakes that I have tried separately and enjoyed. The reason for the lower review is merely because it does baked goods well enough but if I were to get the chocolate avalanche again (pain au chocolate) I would go a number of other bakeries in the Bay that have a much better pastry crust. This place is going to be consistent enough you likely don't have to worry, that said I encourage folks to support bakeries all around and find ones that truly have French pastries down pat rather than French inspired pastries Service was good, nothing notable, nothing offensive, and cleanliness of the space would bump this up to a 3.5 star. Sadly this number doesn't quite tell the whole story because there are good aspects of this place, it's merely not a place I would go back unless I had a craving for one unique thing but in general the flavors were subdued as someone who buys sweets once a month it was surprising how little flavor and how much sugar I could taste instead

Vanilla custard donut
Lorissa W.

People said the donuts were good so I tried it today. Donut is $4 and there's many flavors including seasonal strawberry. I didn't like how the donuts look but I tried the vanilla one which looked the best. The first bite of my donut was bitter because the oil they used to fry these donuts was stale. The oil tasted old and when oil gets old it turns bitter. My husband also said his donut tasted bitter. There was tons of grease on my donut and I feel like they left the donut in the oil too long and the oil was stale. There were subtle bitter notes almost in every bite because of the stale oil. I could not taste the vanilla in their vanilla custard. This was essentially a very cheap tasting and bad tasting donut that was meant to look expensive and fancy. They put it in a box so the presentation is nice. It's misleading because this donut is probably one of the worst donuts I've ever had. Also almost everything here is wrapped in plastic and I am concerned about the microplastics in their food. Will not return since this is supposed to be their best item.

The hot dog thing, the cheese thing and the chocolate thing Yum!

What Happened to the Choco Bun?…read more Plenty of free parking. When you walk in, grab a tray and window shop all the pastries. They individually wrap these so grab what you want and place it on your tray. Once you're finished, cruise up to the counter. Would I Come Back? Yes, I keep coming back. I use to come back for the Choco Bun, but if they've changed the recipe at all locations, I'll only be coming back for the Milk Bun and Nougat. Their Signature Item: Egg tarts are their signature item. If you've ever been to an Asian party, someone almost always brings a box of egg tarts from 85-Degrees. But on today's visit. Well, just look at the photo. Someone stepped away from the oven for about 6 minutes too long. Choco Bun ($2.55, Grade D): The Choco Bun has been my absolute go-to for years--the closest location to me is usually the South Sacramento store and I tell everyone they have to get it whenever they visit an 85°C. Unfortunately, it's been about 8 months since my last trip, and the Choco Bun is no longer something to write home about. Milk Bun ($2.05, Grade A+): If you've ever had their Milk Bun with the custard filling, the Choco Bun used to be very similar in texture. Now, it's flat with super dry edges. Not good at all. Luckily, I also bought a Milk Bun (my usual second favorite), and by default, it's now my number one because the Choco Bun was a complete bust. It's so fluffy and sweet. Melts in your mouth. Strawberry Banana Smoothie / no boba ($5.85, Grade F): It was incredibly artificial-tasting--nothing real about it. I only made it through a quarter of it before throwing the rest into the garbage. My fault for hoping for a "just picked" fresh fruit taste, but this was honestly one of the worst smoothies I've ever had. Nougat ($9.60, Grade A+): The bagged Nougat candy is fantastic. It's soft, gooey, and packed with what I'm guessing are pieces of pistachio. Delicious, but a fair warning if you have dental issues: these will wreak havoc on your teeth. It's not quite as sticky as a Starburst, but it could definitely pull out a denture! Bottom Line: The staff here is friendly, and there are still a few standout 5-star items that make a visit worth it (the Milk Bun and the Nougat). However, the disappointing recipe change to the Choco Bun and the absolute miss on the smoothie knock this down to a 3-star experience overall.

And then, when I told her the shape of the Styrofoam, she flat out said no. As if the shape of the Styrofoam changes the action? And I'm not a baker, at least not a professional one, but something feels off about what feels like the refusal to help me. And it's not like I am looking for free service, I'm willing to pay, but I'm not willing to pay cake prices for icing on Styrofoam. Saying no, as a business is OK, I'm all for it. But customer service needs a serious rebranding. I have never had a good in person/over the phone experience. Their food speaks for itself, but the customer service skills really takes away the value of a local business that has been around for years. I hope whoever I spoke on the phone with has a better day

While we both really enjoyed the food - both of which were recommended by the employee - the coffee was not good at all. Pro: the avocado toast that we ordered had a curried chickpea salad on top and it had a delicious flavor. That was probably my favorite bite! We also shared half order of the blueberry waffle, and it had a type of granola on top that provided some really great textures. The food certainly impressed me. Con: Both of us felt like the coffee had none of the flavor that it was supposed to have (we both ordered the cardamom maple iced latte with macadamia nut milk) and instead, it just tasted like milk. And the drinks are not good. I didn't bother for any food/pastries.
