It's a French style cafe with all the usuals but more expensive. Good location though for groups, gathering, couples, kids and seniors. Good atmosphere for studying, reading and hangouts. Variety of brunch options, pastries and coffee drinks. Service is quick with order to sit. Indoor and few outside seatings.

I've been waiting and watching for signs of when this place would open and FINALLY! On a whim, I drove by on New Year's Day and saw that they were open! It was good to see that there were still a variety of goodies in the cases. As hubby is always in the hunt for the best almond and chocolate croissant, the almond and chocolate hazelnut paste came home with me. Love how bright and airy the shop is. Parking can be a challenge during the week so just park across the street. All spaces are pay lots with the exception of the building behind the shop. The croissants are very crispy and flaky , especially the corners. Now, it didn't help that it's rainy which means humidity. Taste wise, the chocolate hazelnut paste could have been stronger perhaps a smear of Nutella would be good. Almond croissant is good. For the hubby, rating of 3.5 because he likes more fillings. It's pricey so take your time sitting in and savoring the delights. Yelpers have notes other food items which I may come back to try. The quiches looked especially good. Thank you for a new shop in town!

I specifically wanted to try this bakery out for the fruit shaped dessert. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and found parking close by, there were some teenagers inside, and a person cleaning the coffee machine. After waiting for a few minutes a young woman came out and took my order. I ordered one lemon shaped dessert and she seemed a bit annoyed at that. Outside I opened my prized box to see my tiny purchase. With a stab of a fork my toddler cracked it open and started eating the lemon custard. It's basically a tiny bit of lemon custard, a ton of cream and yellow colored white chocolate. It was not very flavorful, very small and overpriced.

I have stopped by here a few times now to both pick up items and dine in. In addition to their beautiful and flaky French Pastries, they have fancy cakes and desserts, items like Croque Monsieur and Madame, French Toast and Crepes. The service is great with indoor and outdoor seating options. Full array of coffee options. Lafayette has many breakfast and coffee options but I find myself drawn back to Brioche de Paris. I'm you haven't already tried Brioche de Paris, it's worth a visit!

A friendly family-owned coffee shop with even more pastry options in the little gourmet ghetto next to Sideboard. My coffee was excellent - maybe the best I've found in Lafayette so far - and the pastries are also fantastic. Thy have beche de Noel and other beautifully decorated special pastry items as well as your typical croissants and cookies. Ambiance is pretty with a lot of light and good seating options. Parking is never great here but the location, ambiance and food makes up for that. I know the pastries are the big draw here but I'd come back just for the coffee! Yep, I'll definitely be back!

Bought a piece of Opera cake that looked great. Staff member threw it into a box that was too big for it. I asked for a bag, ideally a paper one that keeps its shape so that the box does not move around in the bag when placed in my car trunk. She gave me a standard plastic thank you bag. This is what it looked like when I opened it. Very disappointing for a $14 pastry

So happy this bakery finally opened! They have savory and sweet options which were all fresh and delicious. What really stood out for us were the fun fruit pastries /Trompe-l'œil desserts! How fun!! Be back soon!

I recently tried the new Brioche de Paris location in Lafayette and was absolutely delighted! This charming French bakery is a wonderful addition to the area. We sampled three items from the menu, and each one was excellent. The almond croissant was perfectly moist, flaky, and incredibly delicious. I asked them how it's so good and they explained that they use imported French butter. The Avocado Toast was fresh and beautifully prepared, topped with bacon. Lastly, I tried the Lorraine Quiche, which they kindly heated for me. It was light, flavorful, and wonderfully satisfying without feeling heavy. Although there is a bakery by the same name in Walnut Creek, my understanding is that this location is independently owned and not affiliated with that store. The fresh pastries served here are delivered daily from their other store located in Alamo. Everything tasted fresh, and the attention to detail really stood out. I will definitely be back to try more of the menu -- highly recommend stopping by if you're in Lafayette!

What a beautiful place to spend a Sunday morning!

Excellent customer service, very relaxing and most beautiful atmosphere. The food was the icing on the cake!

Finally, a true French bakery in Contra Costa County! The pastries were all perfection. The barista made coffees were also as expected.

Super friendly customer service, very welcoming people, and just a really pleasant conversation that early in the morning, which honestly made my day. The freshly baked donut selection is amazing. You got everything from old-fashioned plain, glazed, chocolate, sprinkles, classic twists, and pretty much anything your heart desires. The filled donuts are awsome too, although sounds like those are usually made a little later in the day fresh:( The inside is actually relatively big and comfortable, not cramped like many donut spots. One of the coolest parts is being able to see a lot of the baking process happening right there. You can tell they really care about quality seen that freshly baked one-to-one beauty laying in front of you and their customers, who are always happy! Definetely one of the best donut spots around Lamorinda.

The consistency between locations is incredible, they had so much of the same feel. I loved the patio and that you could sit across on the lawn if you wanted. They even have lawn chairs for you to borrow. The menu is limited but good. I was surprised they didn't have a sav blanc, but the sangrias were delicious. I got a vegan ceasar which was great, but probably too much dressing. My fiancé got a pork quesadilla that he absolutely loved. He was a very very big fan of the salad on top and said it played a huge role in making the dish cohesive and feel much lighter. I also tried the corn pasta which was delicious. The location is easy to get to, with lots of parking behind in a lot, and it's very clean, with lots of chairs and tables; yet all were filled this Saturday evening, which is a good sign. There are too many pastries, treats, and drinks to even cover, and we spent a few minutes trying to find our choices, which you mainly pick from cabinets using a self-serve tray and tongs. For drinks and cake (whole or sliced), you order those at the counter. We decided on some pastries, some cake slices, and a drink. And S'mores was the predominant theme today. We ordered a raspberry fruit bite, 2 chocolate supreme croissants, 2 S'mores Belgian waffles, a sugar mochi donut, a coffee donut croissant, 2 slices of S'mores chocolate marshmallow cake, and a slice of rainbow cake. We also got the cream cheese puff and the crème brûlée bombolone ... quite the name! And, of course, a S'mores frappe! The server helping us at the register was polite and efficient, but there was only one register open and a long line. As such, other folks were helping gather the goodies from the cake case, and as we were taking these to go, we did not realize until we were home that the rainbow cake was not a rainbow cake, but a THIRD slice of S'mores cake. Ugh. That one was chosen by the 8-year-old, who was understandably not happy, and the additional insult of paying extra (above the cost of the S'mores) for a cake we didn't get made ME unhappy too! Paid $8.29, got a $6.99 cake slice. The pastries are generally good, with some very good and some more of a "meh." Among the best were the raspberry fruit bite and the coffee donut croissant. That coffee one was a surprise, as it had a soft liquid filling we didn't realize when buying, and the taste was very coffee, which I loved. Will get that again for sure. The S'mores chocolate supreme croissant was also popular. The crème brûlée bombolone was different, with a light pastry and a filling different from what I usually find in crème puffs, and it was tasty. The waffles were not a light and airy as we would have liked, but the flavor was good. The mochi donut was a bit dry as well, not up to true Japanese bakery standards, and the cream cheese puff was all puff and short on the cream cheese (see photos). And the S'more cake was good for flavor, very rich and S'morey, but the presentation really is lacking. Not that I normally compare one chain to another, but for example, when we get Crumbl, the product is very close to the advertising. Not so with the S'more cake, and I am not even sure all the layers were there and in the proper order or proportion; check out the photos and see what I mean. However, the flavor was spot on, and that is the ultimate goal, although the "eyes eat first," as we Yelpers know! And the highlight was not a pastry or cake, but the S'more frappe. It was layered beautifully, fresh-tasting, and very S'morey (yes, a new word I now love!). We even got a second, as we had to eat this there so it could be shared by the group, and it was calling us! Definitely hope it is available next visit, and Starbucks could take a lesson in quality versus price point. Some of the pastries here are really not worth the cost for the product (would skip the cream cheese puff, for example, and the mochi donut), but everything else was very good. Other than an error in fulfilling the order correctly and a couple a poor pastries (quality), it was a good first visit, and we all would come back when near a location.
