So I have been to European nail spa many times and I've never really had a bad experience except for once when it was obvious the girl was brand new and needed a little forgiveness. Today was different. I had a veteran person at least I think so from her age I won't say the name and I sit down in the chair and she hands me the menu for a pedicure with the expensive side up I always get the $35 one so I turned through the pages and I find it. I'm getting a manicure pedicure and I'm going to get a gel manicure. She tries to sell me to a dip manicure which I don't like the dip. I don't like the way it feels on my nails I normally just get a regular manicure because these other manicures really aren't that good for your nails but it's summer so I thought I'd get a shiny gel manicure. She gets through my feet. I'm not sure if she put a topcoat or not. I wasn't paying attention. It does not look like she put a topcoat or she didn't sand down the nail, so it was not smooth before she polished it. It looks very rigid and on top of it she smudges my left big toenail and doesn't fix it and I was a little taken a back we go to the chair upfront to do the manicure she barely soaks. My cuticles cuts them, and it hurts and then she cut it to the point that one of them bled and that's when I had had enough. I said I'm not going to get a manicure so I go up to the front to pay. She comes there she doesn't want me to talk to the lady at the desk, I can see that so I left and I called and the lady at the desk who said to please come back and that they'll give me a gift certificate. When you go to get your nails done, it should be a good time. Not a frustrating painful time lol I've never had a bad time there before but I appreciate the way The phone call went. It was good Customer Service but it might be time to find somebody else it's hard to go in a place after a bad experience. She ended up having to put 3 coats. The sides of my nails are missing polish. He was not there yesterday so that's how I ended with SUSAN. :( Susan was extremely rude since the beginning, but I wanted to be nice and give her an opportunity to prove me wrong with her work, but my mani is hands down awful. I honestly feel like my 5 year old niece could have done a better job than this rude little lady. I told her I didn't like certain nails, and she completely ignored me and walked away and left me there without even telling me she was done or bothered to go back to check on my nails to make sure they were dry. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE and customer service from her overall.. so please avoid her at all cost, unless you want to end up with your nails looking like mine. If you do, let me know and like I've said, my niece can surely do a better job than SUSAN. Anyways, I asked to speak to a manager, but the man who's usually at the front was not present yesterday. The girl who helped me was super sweet, and the only thing I told her was that my nails were horrible and that SUSAN was rude the whole entire time. She did offer to have someone repaint them, but I said no since it wouldn't be fair to the other nail techs and SUSAN should be held accountable for her horrendous work. Probably not as much can be done on dip vs. gel and I prefer dip so i guess I must compromise there. I was impressed with the size of this salon. Their decor and chairs are nice. Now on to what matters... My technician asked me if I wanted my "callus smooth for $5". I said, "it's included in this pedicure, correct?" She said "no, $5." Hmmm the menu I was handed clearly states the callus smoothing is included. Not wanting to argue or cause a scene I said I agreed to go ahead with it for the $5 charge. The menu also indicated a foot massage was included with my pedi, and I didn't get one. The salon is beautiful but I will not be coming back here to get my nails done again. I went this past Friday morning to get a solar set. My nail tech started off nice but that changed as she did my nails. As she did my nails I would look at them like everybody else does...Not critiquing, just LOOKING at them and she seemed to get annoyed that I was looking at my nails. She felt the need to tell me that she had been doing nails for 13 years and that I "didn't need to worry". I paid $48 for a solar set (more than advertised) and my nail beds looked sloppy and I had dried Polish everywhere. I felt ripped off. She did not do a good job and for that price I could have gone to any nail shop around here and got better service. Next time I will. Now, I usually wouldn't do this, but I am. I'll give my one time visit a 5 stars***** rating. I wanted to take time and treat myself. I went in for a pedicure and some waxing and for a one stop visit in an unfamiliar place, the staff made it worth it. The pictures on Yelp enticed me, promising a fabulous spa world experience. I was in awe from the pictures. Upon my arrival, I was greeted professionally, the place appeared as it did in pics-- high ceilings, circular world spa, water fountain.... I was ready to be pampered. Indeed I was. I've been to enough "nail shops" to not be as enamored (the familiarity of the massage chairs, plastic lined tubs kept it from being worlds apart from what I'm used to) but the professionalism and the nail tech aiming to please was a complete departure from nail shops at home. Southern hospitality, maybe? I got a deluxe pedi with lavender sea salt and paraffin wax. The tech was very gentle and soft which gave me pause, but the relaxing parafin wax, massage with sea salt, the massage chair and complimentary wine, I was feeling pampered. My feet were smooth! I may be a parafin wax believer now. I made the decision to get my legs waxed towards the end of the pedi. I was told ok. The tech attempted to wax me, but it was very difficult due to the oils, etc she used previously. She tried to cleanse my skin with alcohol, but it was still difficult. I almost wish she had told me no, because it was a bit painful for them (yes another tech came to assist) to remove my light hair. A tweezing session also happened to remove the hairs that weren't removed with wax. However, I applaud the tech's efforts. I was hair free and had a nice pedi without having to bring my own polish. The polish selection was impressive and organized on nail trays by number so you don't have to choose from a wall! Surprise, surprise! There was a Yelp check in discount. DO NOT GO HERE! SAVE YOUR MONEY!! I have given this place multiple chances and every time I leave disappointed and upset that I gave them more of my money. Susan did my dip nails tonight. She rushed, and did not listen to me. I wanted the dip on my natural nail, she filed one of my nails REALLY short and square, when I told her I didn't want that she said, "I'm doing them square." She asked if they looked okay, I told her no and she just looked at me! She never once asked how she could fix them or get another employee to come over, NOTHING JUST A BLANK STARE!! I took off one star because I did get burned once with the wax for my eyebrows a while back. The tech kept telling me I have sensitive skin. I said no, your wax is too hot. I'd gotten a brow wax there a million times before so I am more than familiar with what an appropriate temperature is. We went back and forth a couple of times and she just refused to believe me when I'm the one feeling everything! I don't understand how my red skin wasn't an indication the wax was too hot. I came here to get my eyebrows waxed, as I always do. I walked in, was greeted and asked what services I would need. I said brow wax and declined the request for a specific person. I tell her how I want them waxed, she's not listening cause she's ON THE PHONE. I have to repeat myself to ensure she heard me & she proceeds to wax my brows. She put the wax on and barely put the fabric strip on before ripping it right off. I have NEVER experienced someone go so damn fast to rip the fabric off which is dangerous because if done carelessly, you can tear someone's skin open!!! Then she gets to the other brow & completely disregards my hair being in the fucking wax. It's like she didn't give a fuck at all, maybe because she was ON THE PHONEEEEE. When she rips the fabric from under my brow, she UNAPOLOGETICALLY pulls my hair with it. At that point, I was pissed off. I pushed her hands away because she just tried to continue like nothing happened.
