We have been very impressed with European Prestige, from the pride in workmanship, easy and consistent communication, and flexibility with working within our budget. We first hired Chris about 2 years ago to do our countertops in all 4 bathrooms which we were very satisfied with, and called him back for a quote for our kitchen in 10/2024. We took forever to decide between several kitchen quotes, but Chris won us over after being so open and patient with our numerous design requests and changing our mind multiple times. Plus, he was able to preserve our old cabinets and custom make new cabinets to match perfectly while most others could only work with pre built cabinets. Construction finally started 3/2025 and was completed in a very timely manner, about 5-6 weeks. He and his crew were always very professional and respectful as we worked from home for the entire project. They draped a huge plastic barrier between kitchen and living room, completely sectioning it off to prevent dust and also came in only through the back door which we appreciated. We set up a makeshift kitchen in the next room over and they moved our fridge to that side so we could still use it. We were so impressed with the work on the kitchen that we asked him and his crew to redo our laundry room at the same time with leftover countertop from the bathroom job 2 years prior! A few highlights: - The custom hood for our vent was perfectly crafted. I sent him an inspiration picture and it ended up looking exactly the same. - The backsplash was done superbly, with a herringbone behind the stove and a vertical pattern elsewhere. Due to the unevenness in the tile design, he suggested it be laid without spacers (he still put a few spacers when absolutely needed) and it turned out beautifully. - He had no issues with removing side splash and texturing and painting over it. Most other contractors wanted to put backsplash on the side which is easier for them but doesn't look as "clean" for us. - He and his team were very open to minute details for the finishing touches. As we read in a previous review, Chris is a perfectionist and he showed this every step of the way. - He didn't hesitate to walk us through things we didn't understand, like how the different lighting would work with the transformers. The under cabinet and glass cabinet lighting turned out so well! - The painters he used also did a great job, and were in and out in 2 days. They used a very high quality paint and did multiple coats. - Of note, we had previously remodeled our kitchen floor and pendant lights separately before the job with Chris, and he was able to shave the height of the new cabinets to all be the same height on top of the new floor. We downsized this year and wanted to take our "lessons learned" from the previous 13 years living in Roseville...and make sure we implemented solutions in our new Roseville home. Background: Mosquitos can be terrible in West Roseville; even with taking every precaution to prevent them from multiplying. It's very disheartening to spend lots of $$$ on your backyard and the entertainment window gets shortened when the sun starts to go down...and the mosquitos make their presence known. Solution: We made a decision to convert our new Roseville home's "California Room" into a screen room. European Prestige made our solution into reality. Chris replied to my initial inquiry in a reasonable manner and was open to generating a quote from measurements taken via the model home (which was exactly like our not-ready-yet home). The schedule was pushed out a couple weeks, but the wait was worth it! Chris and his team were very friendly, skillful, and openly communicated with me throughout. About three weeks ago, we contracted Chris Fodor who owns European Prestige to install new counter tops, and we are absolutely thrilled with his work. He was professional, skilled, and very attentive. He worked with us every step of the way and provided unbelievable service. His work was phenomenal and his prices were so affordable (undercut Lowes' quote by 50%!). We highly recommend him. We're having him do another project because even more important than the crazy affordability of his services, we appreciate his professionalism: he showed up when he said he would, answered every question/email promptly, and completed the job in the exact amount of time he said it would take and with hardly any disruption to our lives! His bid on our next project undercut S&G's bid by about 30%, and we're mostly thrilled because of our complete confidence in his work. S&G originally had the contract but they made so many mistakes on our project--brought the wrong tile their first time out, and then on the second attempt never showed because they "forgot to put us on the schedule"--that we ultimately cancelled the job and got our money back. Must have been divine intervention though because Chris agreed to do the job, and we're going to save a heck of a lot of money.
