It was an interesting experience today because I saw from the parking lot that the only 2 guests inside weren't wearing masks. I didn't think much of it since all the other beauty places I frequent stopped requiring masks on July 1. Yet when I walked in the receptionist said masks are required while her mask was pulled down and the 2 guests sat in plain sight, right in front of her, with no mask on or in hand. I put my mask on because that's not the problem. The problem is that the rule didn't apply to the receptionist and the 2 guests who I believe she knew. I have pictures of the receptionist with her mask completely off right after she reminded me of the mask policy but I have decided not to post them. Aside from this, I've been a regular since 2017 at 2 EWC locations and I've had 2 wax specialists. The specialist at this location I give 5 stars 100% of the time. read more

I have been a frequent flyer at EWC for over 3 years. My one complaint about the company in general is they can't seem to keep the good waxers on staff. I'm not for everyone seeing my hoo-ha but I was in DIRE need today. I looked up this particular EWC because I had gone before to see Tierra (who I believe is on maternity leave). Great reviews and Sarah's name popped out. I went to the app and God's grace granted me an appt time 15 min from then! Ahem* SARAH IS BOMB! LISTEN. LISTEN WELL!!!! The BEST WAX I'VE EVER HAD! It was about a 4 month stint (Brazilian) and Sarah CLEANED ME UP!!! Not one hair i thought it would be a dreadfully painful experience. NOT! I usually have a pretty decent experience here. I purchased a membership in September and have been going to this location ever since. This however is the second time I have had to wait a very long time for my services without being informed on how long I will be waiting or if I am coming up next. There were 4 people here before me that all got served before me. I think it will be very helpful to let customers know when their next up in line. I understand during these trying times that this can be difficult. But, I was turned away because they asked if I have been out of the state within last 30 days. I said, yes. Well, when I booked my appt they never said that was a requirement. I then said this was not lock down Larry's law. She said it was European wax rule. If so, it should be asked when booking. I live across state lines 45 min away and was told no. Because I reside in a different state. Utter bull!! This needs to be addressed while booking is going to extremes! This is honestly my favorite European Wax Center in the DMV! I've tried multiple ones and they are all pretty nice but I love this Annapolis location! The staff is always kind, professional and understanding (even when I show up 7 mins late - check out their 8 min late policy). They always answer the phone and help with a good attitude and a smile. I've been to Taylor, Tiara and Terrashay and all three aestheticians are experts! Literally visited Taylor yesterday for a few services and it was done before I even realized it! Painless and everything looks flawless. Tiara has been amazing as well with her effortless technique and calming demeanor. I've been seeing her for months. Terrashay was very knowledgeable and nice! Def recommend! Go visit, don't be later than 8 mins and prepare yourself for a great waxing experience. read more

Let me start off by saying that this review is more towards the management and not the wax specialist. My specialist is APRIL and she is great every single time. My issue is with management. I have been going to EWC since 2018 and my wax specialist are ALWAYS nice and professional. I was 10 minutes late (the grace period is 8 minutes) and the manager Eugenia(Idk how to spell it) had a terrible attitude. She was trying to get me to reschedule my appointment even though April was NOT taking anyone at the time. My appointment was for 11:45, she advised me to wait until 12:00 to see if the next person would come In time or not. Which was a waste of time because the next person did not come until 12:10 so the whole time , I could have been getting my wax if the manager wasn't being a complete ASS. As long as I've been coming, I've noticed that the turnover rate is high as hell. I see a new face every 6 weeks. EWC needs to learn how to treat their loyal ,paying customers with more respect. Luckily I still was able to get my wax done. The representatives in the front are always nice as well but management sucks and Eugenia needs to work on her attitude. It's not cute .... But other than the management , if you want to book at this location, BOOK WITH APRIL. And ladies if you're running late, good luck because they don't care what the reason is. They are strict about the 8 minute grace period even tho I've waited on THEM plenty of times. Okay I'm here to UPDATE my review. I just received a call from AUDREY KLEIN, not to talk about the bad experience that I had in the store but Instead she called me to tell me that my review was not nice and if I did NOT apologize and take my review down, I will be restricted from coming into any of her stores !!!!! She advised me that EWC center thrives off word of mouth and that my review wasn't pleasant. I explained to her that THATS THE POINT OF A REVIEW. I've been going to this location for about 18 months . Since it open back up due to the fire next door I've been going to Casey. She is the best and gets after me for not using the serum , i guess it really does work ! I promise I'll do better I had a appt Wed and on my way there i got a call that Casey was no longer there . European Wax Center in Annapolis was probably one of the best wax places I have been to thus far. The front desk staff was very friendly and inviting and also accommodating when it was time to book my next appointment. The lobby was very clean and smelled great! Products were in stock and it was very well decorated. Essita was the first waxer I experienced and she was great! She was really fast and she was knowledgeable about the products and wax. I literally can't believe how fast she did my wax, 15 mins! My first time waxing ever took an Hour! She convinced me to purchase the serum which actually is great for my ingrown hairs. I loved this place so much I did return for an eyebrow and under arm wax which was performed by Tiara who was also awesome! Tiara is a make up artist as well so eyebrows are her specialty and she did great on mine! She did exactly what I wanted her to do which was to clean them up! I still have very full eyebrows to this day and my under arms feel very smooth. Overall, I had a really great experience and the staff at European is really awesome! I love getting waxed and I highly recommend Essita and Tiara! They also have wax passes which I purchased so I'm paid up for the entire year of 2016! read more

went to Annapolis to get a Brazilian done. I've used this salon before and did not have a problem. I noticed the floor in the room I was in wasn't swept and the counter could have used a wipe. Let that go. My eyebrows came out horrible! I had a bald spot and they were not at all even. When I got home I had a huge patch of hair in between my legs that was left. I reached out on Fb messenger and they told me twice that the manager would get back to me. Over a week later and still no reaching out. I will definitely being going elsewhere from now on. read more

I have been to other European Wax centers in the past, and received countless Brazilian waxes over the last few years. Today I experienced the most rushed and painful full Brazilian I've ever had. Taylor will rip you up. Avoid her at all costs. She kept telling me the pain was from my soap, not her rushed and ragged pulling. I guess there's a reason she finished in like 15 minutes. At one point, she got wax into my vagina and tried to act as though nothing happened. The wax was far too thick and wasn't spreading properly. There was no pressure applied before or after pulling a strip, she pulled in jerking motions both with and against the grain, and she didn't even ask me if I was happy with the results when she was trying to rush me out of the room. My triangle was crooked, and when I asked her to fix it she did. Then she didn't apply any more serum and hurried me out. Very unhappy. I only left two stars because I typically love EWC, their wax is really the best. But my poor crotch will take a while to recover, and it looks terrible. There are hairs left everywhere, dark red marks left from not holding the skin taunt, and way more wax residue then I've had left at any other appointment anywhere. If I went to this location again, I would NEVER EVER use Taylor again. Seriously terrible. The worst part of it all? She was telling me about how she's got new girls to train!!! She shouldn't be training anyone, because she doesn't seem to know how to do a wax properly. read more

I was previously a loyal client of Casey, however she is no longer with that location. I'm now seeing Sarah and I like her just as well. She's equally as great as Casey. I'm not quite sure if it's a company thing or just this location but there seems to always be new waxers here. It's like as soon as you find someone who knows what they're doing and you're comfortable with, they're gone the next second. Here you are left suffering through a few painful waxes until you find a waxer who isn't freshly new and has some experience. As a result of this, when the rest of my prepaid passes are all used up I don't think I'll be buying anymore. I need a little more consistency. read more

I had my first Brazilian wax ever and I wasn't nervous until I laid down and was butterfly spread out on the table and chatting with a wonderful esthetician. I can't remember her name but she is from California and I am too! She made me feel so comfortable and explained everything to me as she went along... making me more at ease even though I was in pain LOL. It's been a couple hours and the redness is still there but I LOVE HOW SMOOTH THIS IS. My friends have been coming to EWC for a while and I kept putting off getting a wax but if I can be this smooth, it'll be worth the sweating pain I went through today! read more

I'm a loyal EWC customer and have been for a few years now. I recently moved to the area and changed to this location. Unfortunately, this time my experience was very unpleasant. I booked for my usual Brazilian , with add on of underarms and lower leg waxing. My esthetician came out to get me, and I let her know immediately that I'm sensitive and bruise easily in my underarms ( I had bruised at a previous visit) and to please wax in smaller strips in that one area. She did not listen. She not only made me bleed in my left under arm area, but she was also not well trained in her job. She left obvious hairs in my underarms , leg area as well as my bikini area. I have never had anyone leave hair that obviously in my bikini area in all my waxes at EWC. The entire wax was painful ( I have high pain tolerance in my bikini and leg area) and I've never had an issue before. This time it was PAIN i was feeling not just slight discomfort. I left upset and once I calmed my nerves, I called to let the front desk know that I had an unpleasant experience. While I told her what happened, she interrupted twice to ask me something. And never apologized or seemed understanding of my experience. Since she was giving me zero info/how to go about this, I asked that she pass on my message to the manager. Unfortunately, manager isn't in but will call me later I hear. I wish they took the time to listen to my concerns, if she had been listening she would've realized that I said I'm gone for the next 3 weeks, and maybe at some point in the phone call apologized for my experience. She never did. Front desk wasn't helpful and the esthetician was terrible. As a business owner I know that if I had this behavior in my office I'd do everything I could to rectify it. The business is clean and welcoming. I see Casey, and she is great! Thorough, polite, honest, explains things so that I can understand them, and is gentle. I have some allergies, and she listened to me! She found a product that does not aggravate my allergies, and she didn't try to sell me anything else - there was no pressure at all. I had my first experience recently with Tiara, and let me tell you she was absolutely amazing! She made me feel so comfortable throughout the entire time. I thought a Brazilian wax would be so painful but the wax they use, combined with her confidence made it more enjoyable. She completely goes over the entire process step by step and she makes sure you know all about after at home care. The outcome was great and I plan to keep going every couple of weeks. I left the salon I've been going to for the last year after receiving a flyer in the mail offering 'your first wax is on us' - to be honest, I was skeptical because... who offers a free wax? It's clearly new... what if they're not good? I checked out the web site, looked very professional, checked out the prices... and got even more skeptical... $47 for a Brazilian? I've been paying $65+ for a year... I took the risk anyway, with the flyer a Brazilian would be 1/2 off... cool. I got there and the lady at the desk got me all signed in, and Kayla came out to take me back to the waxing room. The only flaw I saw while there, was the atmosphere isn't the relaxing kind that I got at my other place... the kind where you might be able to legitemately fall asleep on the table? I was expected dimmed lights, with a light that could be directed at areas that were being waxed while not brightening the entire room... but either way, I'm there for a wax. They use an AMAZING wax... apparently only a product that their company uses... it looks like tar lol, but it does NOT stick to the skin at all, and they do not use strips - this was by far the least painful wax I've gotten... I didn't even feel 70% of the pulls... Kayla was very nice, and made me feel comfortable. While I'm moving in a month, I'll be coming back before I go - and will check out the locations in Boca Raton, FL when I get there. :) Thanks guys! read more

This was my first time at the Annapolis location. I've been going to EWC for years in Dallas and Philadelphia so I knew what to expect. EWC has great service and this location didn't disappoint. Last time I left upset because I asked for my " happy trail" to be removed and instead of telling me about a fee (no other spas charge) she did it and at the end I was told you tacked on an absurd amount for a 1 sq inch for it. Today, I came in at 3:00 and the receptionist said you were busy until 6:30. I show up at 6:25. At 6:40 she said the Waxer was running behind. You have to see Erin! She is great, makes you feel comfortable and very precise. I'm trying to become more regular with waxing to see if the rumors are true about less pain over time, so I purchased a package. They always have some sort of special running. The Annapolis salon is clean and the girls are nice. Once I did have to wait 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time, but I wasn't in a rush and I preferred for her to do a thorough job cleaning up/sanitizing from the previous appointment. I have been using Jack Black aftershave (bought at Sephora) on my underarms to prevent ingrowns and Erin even noticed that my hair follicles come out smoother than before. I have the EWC brand serum as well as body wash, I alternate using them too. The front desk girls will push them on you, but that's their job. Say no and move on if you don't want to try them! Not a big deal. Moral of story: ask for an appointment with Erin and you won't be disappointed! read more
