She took her time and she got this thang nice and smooth. Got me feeling like I'm really about to be outside all summer even though I have a man. Got me feeling like Hair might never grow back. I was in need of Brazilian wax and decided to visit the EWC. I was lucky enough to an appointment the same day I called to make one. I received service from the employee named Love. She was very pleasant, quick and yet gentle. I highly recommend anyone to request her. My only issue is the room could have been cleaned better. There was quite a bit of hair and dust on the floor that should have been swept ahead of time. Overall, I'd return for the service again with Love. read more

I have been going to this location for over a year and just recently I am driving to the location in Gambrills. I understand that you make your staff upsell packages but I feel like I am being harassed at this point, there is a particular person who works there and is constantly upselling but when I turn her down she continues to try to sell me and I have to tell her multiple times NO but she doesn't stop until you are out of the door. i made an appointment and was asked to wear a mask. I wore it despite the fact that I oppose them. It seems ridiculous to wear a mask when the rest of your body is bare naked. lol I mean it's like thinking that the only part of you that has germs is your mouth. The CDC doesn't even recommend masks as a COVID preventative measure anymore because they don't work. My wax was fine except that my underarms stayed red and irritated for seven days afterwards. You could see the outline of where the wax was pulled from the skin so no raising my arms in a tee shirt. It looked like I had ringworm for a week. I also had a Brazilian and they must do them different at this place because the wax went onto a very private spot where the sun doesn't shine. Most people make sure not to get wax there because the skin is thin and delicate so the removal was kinda scary. I don't think I'll be going back. I'm going to try a new place that a friend recommended. The response from the store was appreciated but won't influence my decision to return as they offered no solutions to make the situation right for their less than professional waxing job. As someone who is in customer service it is MY job to make sure the satisfaction of my customer is first priority. For the prices that I paid (over 200) and the tip I left (40) I would think that losing my business would mean more than a "so sorry". And, for those asking why I tipped 20%... if I had seen the condition of my underarms before I left I would have brought it to the attention of the manager but it is always my intention to tip well as people in the service industry like myself live mainly off gratuity and not their hourly wage. read more

Nope. I wanted to try this place because its close to my house and the price was right but will be going back to my regular person. I booked with Sarah after reading all of the good reviews. I ended up seeing someone else and I didnt even realize it until I checked out. My visit started with me standing in the waiting room for 20 minutes as there are no chairs. The esthetician called me back, never said her name, never made eye contact, and left a bunch of wax on me. She said three things to me "get undressed from the waist down", "butterfly", and "knees up". Not even "Hi, how are you?" Its already an uncomfortable experience and she certainely did not help make it better. I later concluded that Sarah was not available and they just put me with someone. I would have appreciated a phone call and the opportunity to make a decision about whether or not I wanted to reschedule. I have been a customer of EWC for years...literally...meaning I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars with the company. I have received great service up until yesterday. This was my first time going to the Bowie Town Center location as I recently moved back to MD. When I walked in, I was coldly greeted by Shannon, the location's manager. Almost every time I have gone for a wax at the other locations in the past, I have one or both of my children with me. They sit with their back turned from me and play with their phones quietly for the 15 mins it takes to complete my brazillian. Neither the waxers nor reception staff EVER complain about them being there and I have visited multiple locations. In fact, the waxers compliment me on how well behaved my children are and are usually very friendly towards them. Well, yesterday, Shannon coldly stated that "No children are allowed in the center" before I could even barey get my name out my mouth. I explained to her that I am a single mom and had no one else to keep them at the time. She remained dismissive and did not even offer a reschedule. She stated "every branch is independently owned/franchised" and "some other locations may allow children but they do not". I felt humiliated as other staff stood by and watched our interaction and I felt discriminated against for simply having children. Hello?! you are servicing primarily WOMEN so the likelihood is they may have children and cannot always get a sitter. If they are being disruptive, that's one thing but you wouldn't even know mine were there. I asked for the owner's contact info but Shannon refused it and claimed the owner would reach out in 48 hours "since it was Sunday". What does Sunday have to do with anything when you all operate 7 days a week? But I digress.... Despite arriving within the grace period, they still did not see me after traveling over 30 minutes with a small child. Although I was only doing a small wax (eyebrows) which are already micro bladed so would have taken less than 10 minutes, they did not try accommodate me. I've had such great experiences at other locations so disappointing this one doesn't live up to the standards of the others. Also, despite a county wide ease on masks mandate, they still force you to wear a mask. I am all for COVID safety but it is optional and they do not have singe posted stating such. They check you in, ask if anyone referred you (have their phone number handy) , and then you wait outside until the start of your appointment. Your waxer will come get you. There is ONLY a five minute grace period, so be on time! You'll be out of there in 30 mins for a Brazilian bikini wax. Nisey was awesome. She put me at ease through conversation and her technique. Let me start off by saying this review has nothing to do with the staff on-site. I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with everyone I encountered while being serviced. However, my last 3 wax treatments my skin became irritated. I spoke with my esthetician who advised me what to do and what products to purchase to eliminate the concern. It did not work so I called to cancel my plan where you make 4 payments and receive 7 Brazilians'. I spoke with someone who said I could not be refunded but could receive a store credit. However, if my skin is irritated another service is not an option. I called back on 10/30/23 and spoke with Tiffany the store manager and expressed my concern yet again and was told the same thing but she advised she would cancel my membership. Which was fine by me because I planned on handling on my own since I had to go to a doctor. Well today the 4th payment was taken out of my account. When I called the store the young lady said the assistant manager would call be back in 30 minutes. Im not only upset about $94 coming out of my account but more importantly the fact that only the Assistant Manager or Store manage can help with a resolution. I've been going to the College Park location for sometime, but I was excited to try this location after two of the specialists I liked left CP / bad experiences with scheduling and last minute changes there the past few months. Based on reviews, I made an appointment with Sarah for my Eyebrow and Lip, and during this last visit a Bikini Full. I'm very impressed. She takes her time with my eyebrows (which are a little weirdly uneven) and they look amazing when she's done. Getting my lip waxed hurts every time, but she doesn't go over with the wax or pluck too many times, so the pain is minimal. I don't do my Bikini waxes monthly (although I maintain) so I expect a little drama there. After a particularly long hiatus, Sarah did my Bikini Full / Thigh wax today with minimal pain and no leftover wax anywhere. I'm very happy and will continue to visit this location and see Sarah. The front desk staff is friendly and professional, too. I love the texts to confirm my appointment. PS. So I went in on 9/23/21 for a full Brazilian and underarm wax service despite the reviews. Before I went, I read reviews that stated that they left patches of hair behind. I just thought maybe it was that one time. However, when I showered after my service. I realized that I had pt he's of hair left behind around the perianal area as well. To be fair, the treatment I received was superb from making the appointment all the way to the completion of my service. The heartbreak came from knowing that there was a patch left behind. I would think that if I owned this franchise I would dedicate more time on training the staff not to miss a spot. It was a big spot. When I called to let them know, I was told that I should check before I leave. . Really? Ok. They did ask if I wanted to come back, which I did, and the service was now finished to perfection. The problem is that I had to move things around in my schedule in order to take another hour out of my day to have this done ( I drive 30 to get there). Overall good customer service, the service itself (the only reason I even came here) , it's aaiiiigghhhttt. I had the most traumatizing wax experience of my life with Jasmine. She is poorly trained and unprofessional when it comes to waxing and should not be performing these services on anyone. Among other red flags I'll stick with this issue. I had been to many waxes before and Jasmine used poor technique of SLOWLY pulling the wax paper off my area which caused a lot of pain and me screaming.
