I live near the Howell location so I usually go to this one. I usually go to Kerry and she is an amazing wax specialist! She makes me feel very comfortable and she makes sure to get the job done properly and precisely. I would highly recommend her to anyone who's looking into waxing and is in the area! I have had afull face wax several times. After coming home yesterday I realized my face was burned. When I returned today they said it wasn't burned it was a reaction. The only thing they recommended was aloe. Nit willing to help me at all. So. very disappointed. I also have a wedding to attend. European wax is very pricey. Well, I am not a fan of this location. I have bought several packages and kind of just "stuck it out". The front desk staff is incompetent. Consistently my appointments were messed up, wrong time, wrong day. Several times I was able to catch it because I would get a reminder text, but not the last time. No text. So I drove 25 minutes there to find out they screwed it up the time of my appointment again. It was supposed to be 5pm and they had it at 7pm. I confirmed with the girl before I hung up making the appointment, yet it was still wrong. So another 25 minutes in Rt. 9 traffic home with nothing accomplished. Now the technicians are all nice enough, but not trained well. The last time I went and actually was able to get a service my daughter had her eye brows done. WOW...she practically took them totally off AND they were completely uneven. And now they are growing in very strangely, she's mortified. Trying to figure out how to fix that problem. Also had legs done, she missed about 1/2 of a whole leg. She had to shave when she got home. I'm done...asked for a refund for the package I had just bought and was given a bunch of mumbo jumbo about a contract, store credit, nonsense total nonsense. I hope you heed the warning...find somewhere else to go. I will make it my job to warn everyone I can to stay away...far away. read more

In my opinion this wax center has NO CLUE. I started going there a few months ago. Everything was fine until my last visit. I received a call stating that the technician that does my service was no longer employed there. No problem for me I will see someone else. They tell me that no other technicians there perform my service. I say ok then I will take a refund since you can not provide my service. They tell me that I can go to a different location. No I signed up there I want my service there. I am not wasting gas and time to travel somewhere else. They offer me a partial refund. That is not how business works. If I cancelled I get it. They are the ones that can not provide the service. They should refund me the full amount of unused services. Will never go to another European Wax Center. Beware. read more

Manager personally called and offered me to come in and get my brows done by they're best girl. She was great. I guess I would recommend the place but careful who you go to. I actually met the manager Alex in the nail salon in the nearby strip mall. We chatted for a good portion of our appointment and I told her I needed a good waxer. She recommended using Dakota. I went online and made an appointment with her and it was super simple. The location called to confirm and I was all set. I came in a few days later and was greeted by 2 very sweet girls working at the front desk. A shot time later, Dakota greeted me and took me back to the room. She was very sweet and explained everything. We talked about skincare and she told me her recommendations for my skin. She did not make me feel like I needed to purchase their products. I've been going to Miranda exclusively for about over 1 year now. She is thorough, quick and has a super sweet personality. I could go to a closer EWC by where i live, but i don't mind driving a little further to see Miranda. I am someone who has tried 5 different EWC locations and I believe I finally have found the best one around! The EWC in Howell is spotless. Super friendly reception, and I had no issues switching my appointment to a later time via the app (even on the same day!). The location was busy, but no one was in the waiting room for more than 10 minutes. I 100% recommend Amie! She is super sweet and personable. She makes you feel comfortable, even in some uncomfortable situations :P Upon talking to her, she told me about being with the company for multiple years. Her expertise is apparent. She was extremely thourough, and made sure I was comfortable. End results are the best i've ever gotten, and definitely worth the money. Customer service is 10/10. I have been going to this location for 2 years now and overall I've had a good experience. The girl at the front desk has the worst people skills for her position. There is no warm welcome, she is a abrasive and condescending. The actual waxers have all been pleasant and are proficient at what they do. The rating would be higher if I didn't feel like an outsider every time I went there. I currently am debating on going to a location closer to my job instead. read more

I've frequented a few different locations in my old home state, so had to find a new location when we moved. I've been here a few times for eyebrow waxing and so far they have come out great each time. I have been to the EWC in Howell many times. Both for myself and my 3 daughters. The reason I didn't rate it higher is because of the unwelcoming feeling I get every time I walk in. The girl at the front desk barks out " Do you have a reservation" before I can even get through the door. First of all, reservations are for restaurants. Appointments are for services. That said, a simple "hello" and greeting would be nice. Not to mention, it is always the same over made-up receptionist that makes me feel as if me being there is bothering her. If you can get past the girl at the front desk who thinks she is way more important than she really is, the people who actually provide the service are always polite, welcoming and wonderful. read more
